The staff (at least the ones I have dealt with) are rude, pushy, and condescending. Also, they prey on poor people who have no ability to delay self-gratification. The merchandise is laughably overpriced. By the time you have paid all of the "rental" fees, you will have paid about 5 or more times what the item is worth. Calling it "rent to own" is a scam to disguise the fact that they are actually charging incredible interest amounts, which would be illegal if called what they are. This used to be called "usury." Stay away from this place at all costs. If you want a $1000 TV they will charge you $300/month rent. If you pay rent until you own it, you will have paid something like $4000. Why not just save up the $300 a month for 3 months and buy the same TV at Costco for $900? read more

I recently opened an account with this company and I am so done with their non-professionalism. They are very pushy and those that call themselves managers of accounting I don't know where they got their skill but for sure no manners or customer service skills. Either you pay or you pay. I don't think that bigger and better furniture companies treat you the way these people do. The accounting department the worst and don't even know why or who did what when you ask. They just go by what they see on the screen. Who as a so called professional accountant manager response like that. I do not recommend this place for one bit. I have been a member of Aarons furniture for over two years, and I have bought multiple pieces of furniture from them. Today October 26, 2018, I receive a call from an employ trying to collect on a missed payment. I have never been late or missed a payment before prior to this previous month. And had all intentions on making the payment soon . my significant other had to take a trip home on a family emergency and life happens. we address the issue and we move forward. As it stands we have been having some issues with our bedroom set From the day we purchased it and they moved in the house which was over a year ago We were told that it could've been damaged from a prior rental but that they would go down grab some tools. come back up and fix the problem. We received no response after that, no return visit and no phone calls. we never used the mirror because it was never fully assembled Unable to be used. The mirror sits against the wall in one of the closets. Are tall dresser what are used to put our clothes and our newborn sons clothing ihas an issue to where the sides bow out whenever you try to pull a dresser drawer out it falls in and that continues for every drawer every drawer on the dresser. Try to putting clothes in, take clothes out or even close the drawers is a hassle every single time. recently we decided to head back in because we planned on purchasing a dining room set we look around we told him if we can have somebody come out again to take a look at ours equipment because it still was broken and it was just getting worse . Week later two employs came back out to try and make repairs on the equipment again they said it was having same issues as it was having before and that there was no way of fixing it that it would need to be re-ordered they said it will be in touch and they left back to the store yet we receive no response on the status for when this was gonna happen or if it was going to happen. Errands give me a call trying to collect payment prior midway down into the middle of the month and I told them then that I did not have that money but that my girlfriend had the money and that she was not in town. She was the individual in charge of taking care of this bill and she had the fence . I said I would get in contact with her and I will see about trying to get the cash to you as soon as possible. I then asked them were there any updates on the equipment in our place and when it will be fixed. We were told that they had to order another piece, that had to get in touch with the company that made it because it was out of date and they no longer carried that same equipment . We concluded the conversation and I left it at that . Since that conversation I have been caught every single day by multiple numbers and I had given the same answer when I do pick up. Today I Received a call at 5:25 PM requesting a payment. I explained to the employ that We Would be making the payment in three days because that is when the first is And that is when the cash would be available. He then said to me well sir you're telling me that you're sleeping on our equipment and that your Refusing to give us our cash but you would like us to fix an issue with the equipment for you. I said yes this issue has been an ongoing issue and should been done long ago this equipment is under warranty on contract and by law you have to replace it if it is broken . He replied back sir none of my guys were going to come out there and family service for you if you have not paid us art our money I replied this is our first payment that we have missed and I let you know what the situation was. Your men Have been up here a few times and nothing has has happened. but you keep asking for your money, are we paying for broken equipment. I got an email from corporate that I was. They took my deposit off my card. The person on the phone kept changing his story. I then put him on speakerphone and had people listen. These people didn't have the box spring to match my bed so they offered "Used Box Springs" and they waited until the week of my move to notify me that the bed I signed a agreement for and had a deposit taken from my card was not available and I would have to choose another bed. we bought a couch from there almost a year ago, They delivered on time. They send people out if theres a problem with it and the payments are manageable. Only thing is the couch is kinda falling apart ( not arrons fault i know) and once i looked at the payments i ended up paying almost double for the couch if i would have bought it flat out. Very, very unprofessional. It's only been a week since my payment's been due and they are calling my phone, my girlfriend's phone, and any phone number they have on file. They're coming to my house harassing me. Do not shop here. They will rip you off, over charge you, and then harass your family if you are a second late on the bill. They started calling one day after it was due. Please don't shop here. Their staff is really unprofessional. I told him I didn't appreciate the fact that they were coming and harassing me at my house and he said "Sorry about that. So when do you intend to make your payment?" Rude. I have been renting from aarons off/on for years! So what shocked and surprised me- Yesterday I called the store to ask about this livingroom set I fell in love with? I talked a Manager Friday on Campo rd, I did another application for the livingroom set - was approved for 383$. So when I called the kept saying he would call me back etc? So I called up until 6:30 pm , @6 A Driver answered again he's busy? Please ask him call me-Really,Really wanted the sets! Telling everybody Aarons the Bomb, furniture wise etc. After 6:15pm no one Answered the Phone!!!! Never received call back! This Broke my Confidence, the spell I had for this livingroom set! Taking advantage of the blind has struck again. I would not recommend Aarons's furniture to my dog. They took my money for living room furniture, then days later said that they could not lease to own to me because apparently someone used me as a reference that I did not know and had no knowledge of. And that individual did not pay their bill so Aarons furniture never contacted me to do a reference check on these people and now I have to suffer the consequences because they did not do their due diligence. If I'm a day late on our payment Joel and his crew will call multiple times a day from multiple numbers until it's paid. I even got a call from a personal cell Phone number from one representative. My daughter was in the hospital for over a week and they called her several times a day til she was able to answer. She explained why she hadn't returned the calls or pick up and Joel said "I bet if something was wrong with the furniture I would be your first priority" he even asked her why no one picked up jet phone when she was hospitalized or call back to tell them her personal information. At that point we had enough so I asked them About their policies on the phone calls before payments they said that we have a five day grace. Although they will call every day all day until we pay. Now they're showing up at her door if we are a few days late. We never got an invoice or receipts of payment. I have worked with this office for about 2 years now and have been nothing but impress. After reading the other reviews I was very hesitant but I will be honest is not like I can walk into Jerome's and take out a 5k credit card. From the beginning I was treated fairly the staff was very friendly and provided me with great customer service. They were very helpful and actually help me decide on some items. The day of the delivery I was welcomed by the delivery guys, they kept me posted on there arrival time and when they got to my house they were amazing. Very Friendly, courteous and helpful. They set up my furniture picked up all the trash and left my house clean. I was so impressed I decided to purchase a TV from them. Once again noting but impress. When my TV was not working they send out a team to repair it (I come out to find out the TV was fine but my router wasn't). I have since used them 2 more times and both time they provided me with great customer service. I have been only late with my payment once. When they call me to remind me about my payment and I explained why I was late they suggested for me to change my due date. The customer service in the store in Spring Valley, is just HORRIBLE!!!!!!! I will never go back there or any of your stores EVER! If that is how you do customer service why should anyone go. Me and my wife walked in and was greeted by a salesperson talking on the phone, she didn't even look up. Then was directed to the laptops. Looked at the laptops and then waited for 30 mins to get helped. I was helped by a delivery person who got me the paperwork to fill out. Filled it out then waited for another hour. Customer service here is very unprofessional and rude staff. They will up the price on the equipment and charge way more than what you should be actually paying for it. Bought a tablet. needed fixed, but when we got the tablet back no charger to return even though we returned the charger as well as telling us the tablet went to Toshiba headquarters to be fixed. Another lie. If Toshiba took care of their products, why did ours come back dirty and a gouge at the top like someone popped the screen open? Poor quality in customer service on the return phone calls. They never return your call and make up excuses that your equipment is not in yet in which it is. Our tablet was supposed to come in on a Tuesday, the known day for getting in shipments. However, they called us on a Monday to retrieve our tablet. Very fishy on how they do their business as well as customer service. No satisfaction guaranteed in this place, only to get robbed for your money. I needed a bed like asap, i had a bad experience somewhere else as you can tell by my review history so i was kind scared to deal with a rent to own place. I filled out the request form online and within 20 minutes they called me asking what i was interested in getting. I told them that i work a lot so i wont have time to come to the store multiple times for this process. The manager Danny, who was my initial contact, said it was not a problem so he faxed the application to my work. I sent it out and ended up going after work to finish the process. The ENTIRE staff was super friendly! I was greeted as soon as i walked in...no seriously you know how the doors at the liquor store go deeeedooooo deeeedooooo before the second deeeedoooo i was greeted WITH a smile! lol ...i got in and all my stuff was verified the next day. I got my bed within 2 days i was happy! I got the memory foam mattress and Danny tried to tell me that i may not like it but i was stubborn and said i was still going to get it. He told me again, "if you don't like it just call me!" Guess what, i hated it, i thought it was going to be soft n squishy pshhhh it was too firm....i called him today and he was like no problem i want you guys to be happy with your product and now i am getting a different one tomorrow. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE right there! It wasn't their fault my back didn't like that mattress but they still care that much about their customers. We bought a couch from here about a week and a half ago and it was delivered yesterday. I bought it online and took advantage of their $25 dollar deal, where if you lease it online, your first payment is only $25. I was looking for something that was super plush and came across the Ultra Plush II 2 piece sofa and fell in love. I immediately ordered it and began the wait. When you lease, they tell you 5-7 business days before it is delivered to your home so on the 8th day I gave them a call and Dewayne (store manager) was extremely helpful and told me he could have it delivered the next day after I was off work (which let me tell you, as a 9-5er that rarely happens) Fastforward to last night when our couch was delivered: Jeulious and Julio (I believe those were their names) were fantastic! They were friendly and talked with us throughout the whole delivery and made sure we were happy with the couches. My apartment isn't the easiest to move large items of furniture into so they were definitely troopers. All in all, we had a fantastic experience and love our couches, which were aptly named the "teddy bear" couches through the store. I definitely recommend getting your furniture and household needs through Aarons. read more
