I've only ordered takeout, but I haven't had any problems with picking up my order. It's pretty much your typical American Chinese food. A bit greasy and salty. The main dishes I've had are acceptable, if you're expecting the usual fare. However, recently I ordered the appetizer platter and it was not good at all. All the fried stuff was dried out and flavorless. The foil-wrapped chicken was burnt, dry, and much too salty to be edible by me or my boyfriend. read more

What can I say about this place? The food is delicious, I've tried a little of everything on the menu and never been disappointed. it's a very cozy place, very laid-back and comfortable. The people that work there are always very friendly and attentive. Service is very fast, sip your tea and enjoy your egg flower soup and before you know it, your food will appear on the table! Steaming hot, fresh and in very generous serving sizes. I eat there about once a week after shopping, so I guess I'm a "regular" and I'll bet I'm not the only one. The rangoons are really good, I like mine sweeter but these are really good too. Lo main was classic. We came in food was super fast and delicious. I decided to Door Dash this evening. We ordered Crab Rangoon's, Pork Pot stickers, Orange Chicken and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. It took a little long to get here but just meant the food would be warm and fresh. The Crab Rangoon's, and Orange Chicken were amazing. The chicken didn't have gristle and had yummy pieces and lots of flavor. The BBQ Pork fried rice barely had any egg or pork, it was pretty sad. The Pork Pot Stickers tasted off like the oil was old or the pork wasn't cooked all the way. I had to throw them away. Maybe next time we will try something else on the menu. Because we will be ordering the orange chicken again. read more

Here now, have to say, I'm relieved to finally find a Chinese spot here in Albany. Service is friendly, timely, and knowledgeable. Egg drop soup was a little thick for my liking, however the main course: fried rice, chicken Lo mein, and sweet and sour pork were fresh and tasty. Def hit my craving for some good Chinese. When a menu lists the ingredients of an item on the menu, such as; Seafood vegetable combo.. Scallops, shrimp, crab etc.. why would they use real ingredients EXCEPT for the crab? Gross. Ruined the whole plate and I didn't eat it. I asked for a box and didn't complain. Then I asked my husband if he would share his, because his looked good. The pork tasted microwaved and the sweet and sour chicken tasted like it was maybe freezer burnt. Service was good, but will never go back. read more

Coming back from Corvallis doc visit & decided to stop for lunch. Well, gotta say, one of the BEST Chinese meals I've had in YEARS! Hostess very personable & quick with outstanding soups. H&S for me, Egg Drop for her & both delish. Specials Board had Chicken Lo Mein (a fav she ordered) & I tried the Beef with Hot Pepper Sauce. Both came with S&S chicken (perfectly fried, not gummy & the right amount of sauce) & fried rice. The Lo Mein noodles were legit, not spaghetti! The gp's, onions & beef wokked up with sauce (not spicy BTW) made me swoon. Thought about taking pics but hit the platter hard & fast. Sauce was so good I took the little remaining home in a tiny box to put in a Ramen! The rest we scarfed up there. Her lunch 10 bucks, my beef lunch 11. Got a take out menu....average dinners 12-14, shrimp dinners around 15. Lunch averaged around 10 bucks. I can hardly wait for more! Dining room clean & remodeled, we left stuffed & happy. read more

Under new management, but it stays in the family as the new owner is the niece of the previous owners! A few things have changed because of this: no more Chinese beer (why???), an update in the decor, plates and general ambiance which makes the whole place look better, new print menus and more specials. Small restaurant, slow service, decent food. The first impression that I got when I walked in was, "Wow, this place is small!". It looked promising with at least 5 of the 9 tables being occupied. We waited about 5 minutes before being greeted - first person being a regular who actually had to tell the worker that we were waiting to be seated. When we were finally seated, we decided to order the low mein (wet noodles) w/BBQ pork, moo goo gai pan, and hot and sour soup. Soup came out first in about 10 minutes time since ordering. As described by my bf, it was pretty sour - as it should be - but not enough tang. We ordered a large bowl to share and finished it off as our entree was brought out, which was another 10 minutes after the soup came out. The portions were not overly impressive but not too small either. The moo goo gai pan was better than expected, and the low mein was good, but I was disappointed to see that they used yakisoba noodles instead of egg noodles. Like most standard Chinese restaurants, the service was not so great, but it being a Chinese establishment, I wasn't surprised. They did check on us once, when we were close to finishing dinner, though they didn't ask if we wanted a refill on water. It's worth trying since everyones preference is different, but personally, I may just be doing take-out from now on. Pros: - Food is good, but not great. - Good lunch specials! - Bottomless drinks! Prices weren't bad for the large amount of food I got for the combo I ordered (I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow now). Flavor of the beef & broccoli I ordered was pretty good too. With the risk of unhealthy virus transmission, we often rely on local businesses for meal delivery. On a Wednesday we ordered by telephone. for delivery. Followed by a disappointing meal for two. The broccoli was overcooked, the red meat was fine. The noodles were overcooked and a bit chewy). The taste of the potstickers differed in taste from two till the next. Fearing getting sick, we tossed them. At bares mentioning, the dumplings were obviously precooked and reheated in a frying pan or wok. Several of them showed areas of almost black, like burned spots. Our General Tso's Chicken was overcooked to a chewy batter. Rating 2 out of 10 (probably not a repeat). They advertised 'No-contact delivery'. We had to outside to sign CC slip. read more

Broke down and ordered Chinese from AB. Received great service, and the food was fantastic.

I come here every Saturday with my best friend before we binge on streaming video games for a few hours. The food is always fantastic. I usually always order the Szechwan Beef Special Combo with fried rice and egg flour soup, but have more recently been opting for the delicious hot and sour soup, all while washing it down with Dr. Pepper. Staff is beyond friendly and always helpful, and the restaurant is rarely ever crowded or feels like they're either rushing or taking too long to get your food. Perfect balance. I am only rating the food. The service was friendly. The lo mein looked and tasted a lot like spaghetti noodles - definitely a wheat noodle consistency's vs an egg noodle consistency. They did not have chow mein, which seems like a Chinese food staple. The food was bland and yet heavy at the same time. The sweet and sour pork was serviced with the sauce a la cart and the pork itself was fried to a crispy finish. I am sorry to say that we did not like a single entree that we ordered. Well, that was disappointing... We had visited AB previously and were really impressed with the food. We thought we'd try delivery this time. They let us know it would be an hour wait. No worries, it's a Saturday night and that should be expected. Seventy minutes later, we get a call to let us know they had been really busy and our order hadn't even been started.
