The food is delicious, it's not that expensive, they deliver and most importantly, they deliver. I can not stress how important that is. I have also eaten inside the restaurant and enjoyed the experience immensely. The little Chinese lady that served us had a great personality, and was almost mother-hen like to her customers. Not to mention the food was incredible. We were out on a double date and not one of us ordered the same thing, and yet we all loved what we ordered. Albany struggles with Chinese food on a good day. But tonight's experience pretty much astonished me. Ordered two dishes both with thier wheat free option. Went to pick up the food and returned home. opened the meals and one of the meals was breaded. We called and let them know of the problem. They offered to refund us the meal cost which we could pick up the next day. They then called us 3 times to requalify the experience and they asked our address which I thought they were going to email the refund. 10 minutes later they arrive and give us cash... Cool huh? Nope they then demanded the breaded food that only one of us could enjoy. I am totally beside myself, "give us the food back". What the heck. Anyone ever had a restaurant come to your home and repo thier defective meal and only make it right with money and not the corrected food? What a terrible way to treat customers. This restaurant is humble, but clean. I had the cashew chicken combination plate with Egg Flower soup. My soup came out immediately. It had a good consistency and a nice taste, but definitely needed salt and pepper. My meal was delivered to me right before my soup was finished, which I always consider to be a mark of attentive service. And the portion sizes were huge. My cashew chicken tasted very good, full of fresh vegetables and a hint of fresh ginger. The sauce was tasty without being overpowering. The pork fried rice was average and a bit pedestrian, slightly bland but perfectly cooked and tender. The BBQ pork was excellent, it did not have the creepy red dye #5 on it like so many places do (I don't know if they do but it just don't seem natural). This pork was obviously marinated and slow cooked because it was tender and the meat had a good taste throughout. The fried shrimp had a good tasting breading that tasted lightly of honey, but overall it just seemed average and the breading was a bit under-cooked in the middle. The service was friendly and very attentive. My meal was reasonably priced for under $11. I would totally come again to try some other dishes. read more

Chinese sounded good, and reading the past reviews I was hesitant to get delivery from them because of wait times from past reviews. Thankfully I did order from them, I was given 45 mins for delivery time and it showed up in 25. There was a really cheerful driver that dropped it off, and everything is super tasty! The food is great! Hot and fresh every time we visit. Generous portions and reasonable prices. We eat here regularly and will continue. The only downside is the restaurant itself is a bit shabby and could use and update and the employees seem to change very regularly. Quite often there is a help wanted sign on the door, and quite often the dining room staff is new and you can tell. That said, the food is great, and we will be back. read more

My boyfriend and I opted to try this place on a monday when our choice chinese restaurant was closed. We ordered orange chicken, general tsao chicken, pork fried rice, hot and sour soup and egg flower soup. We took advantage of their delivery service which turned out to be the only positive to our experience here. The food was Ghastly! We could not tell the difference in the two chicken dishes. They tasted nearly the same. There was little to no sauce and the breading was soggy. The soups were devastating! The egg flower, though edible lacked flavor. The hot and sour was too horrid to eat, and thats saying a lot because my boyfriend will eat almost anything! The rice was the only thing I enjoyed and that was after a heavy dose of soy sauce. To end our experience our fortune cookies were stale. We will give this place another try because the luxery of delivery is scarce in Albany. Staff was friendly and patient. Unfortunely, the food I ordered specifically from the vegetarian menu came with chicken buried under the rice. I've been meat-free for four years, and just having eaten the rice around the chicken has made me terribly sick. WIRE FOUND INSIDE MY EGG ROLL. Last night we purchased food from AB Chinese in Albany OR. The food started out good and the girl friendly. Today, I attempted to eat a left over egg roll. Towards the end I was shocked to find a half inch piece of WIRE in my mouth from inside the egg roll!!! I called the restaurant and was very nice telling her what happened. She simple said come in and bring me your egg roll and the wire and I'll give you a new one....... I told her I did not want a new one and would like to be refunded for my meal. She said no, only the egg roll because the meal was fine. I said I almost broke my tooth on a piece of wire in your food and you're not going to refund me? You know what she says?!!? "Go to the doctor and get a receipt and bring it to us about your tooth and we will pay." I asked if I had swallowed it and been rushed to the hospital would they have paid the thousands and thousands of possible dollars spent to fix my throat. She said yes maybe...Maybe?!? I told her she has terrible customer service and I would never be coming there again. How would it be easier to pay for a dentist/hospital bill than to refund me the $25 I paid for the meal???? This was my favorite place for szechuan chicken and chicken low mien. Not anymore. Chicken is so dry I couldn't eat it and low mien is so mushy and greasy. This experience was SO AWFUL... I may never eat out again!! My husband and myself were going to dinner with some friends in Eugene.. We ordered AB for our teenagers who were staying home (in Albany). We informed the staff ( at AB) this when we ordered our food, that we wouldn't actually be there to sign for the receipt.. but that we were giving our permission to let our kids sign.. We even pre-approved a generous tip.. BIG MISTAKE!! We ordered the food at 5 pm. We were told it would be 6:30 delivery time as it was a Saturday night.. which we expected. We received a call from our children at 7:30 pm, to let us know that the food still hadn't arrived yet. We called the restaurant, they informed us (very apologetically) that our food was "en route" and they would have it at my door step in "5 minutes". We said "okay, thank you" and assumed... "hey... things happen... not a biggy"... WELLLLL..... AT 8:30pm.... (that's 3.5 hours for those of you that aren't counting) our kids call us again.. to ONCE AGAIN TELL US THE FOOD WASN'T THERE!!... I'm not going to lie.. at this point I'm steamed. We ordered the food 3.5 hours prior. We were told 1.5 hours for delivery.. at 2.5 hours we make our first complaint.. and are BLAINTENTLY LIED TOO!! The Food hadn't even been cooked.... AND FINALLY... At 3.5 hours after ordering.. I call and ask why?? and get what I can only describe as the epitome of TRASH. She was so rude and disrespectful to me and my husband for EVEN ASKING WHY the food has, at this point, taken 3.5 hours.. and still hasn't arrived. She called us "A**holes", "Lazy"~~still not sure where this played in?? the names go on and on.. and as my temperature rose and my composure began to break down.. I asked to speak to the REAL MANAGER.. because there was no possible way that she was it. 8~O her reaction to this was the worst out of everything. She told me verbatim 'HA! JOKES ON YOU!! HE WON'T BE IN UNTIL THE MORNING AND HE BARELY SPEAKS ENGLISH!! SO GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!! And she hung up on me. This horrible experience ended here for me. I chose not to go talk to the manager. Decided to order Chinese takeout for the first time since moving to Oregon from the east coast. We picked this place since it was nearby. I ordered the Happy Family and my husband got the Mongolian Beef. We also got an order of egg rolls. Let's start with the egg rolls - they were very strange. The outside was very different from what I'm used to and don't think there was any meat inside (all the egg rolls I've ever had were filled with pork or shrimp). They were more like a fat spring roll than an egg roll. The Happy Family was delicious. They used really nice meats in it, and the scallops were huge. It was also a giant portion - good for two or three people. The Mongolian Beef, while it had nice beef in it, wasn't even remotely spicy. In fact, in was incredibly bland. Both entrees came with rice - we got one with steamed rice and one with pork fried rice. You can't really screw up streamed rice, so that was good. The fried rice, however, was tasteless, and it wasn't made with the proper type of rice - it was very short-grained and sticky. Fried rice usually has a few veggies in it plus fried egg - this had neither. Just rice and small pieces of pork, presumably stir fried in a brown sauce. They also don't have individually-packaged fortune cookies, which is worrisome from a food safety standpoint. They put them into a little bag with a bunch of sauce packets that almost certainly haven't been washed off. They were also quite stale. It definitely wasn't the worst Chinese food I've ever had, and I did enjoy the Happy Family. However, it's unlikely that I'll order here again until I try out a few more places. read more

Stars are lower than the overall experience. I wanted packed boxes of fried rice and chow mien with the breaded chicken nugget pieces and gooey sauce. Super simple Chinese food for all. Wait time for delivery was long , but got the perfect amount of food for 2-4 people at honestly a decent price considering. Food hit the spot. No way around it. If you're searching for that childhood memory of super flavorful Chinese food with a protein bump and soon gooey crap to smoother it in, highly recommend. Great tasting food. Tried this on a recommendation, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The hot and sour soup was delicious, as were our entrees (orange chicken and Mongolian beef). The service was quick and polite. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, I remember going when I was very little actually with my family. I am now an adult with my own kids and I must say I don't dine here often. I decided to order take out a few day ago and I had such a bad experience I really don't want to go back and dine here again. First I called and placed my order to go, my order was simple 1 Large egg flour soup, 1 large hot and sour soup and a side of chicken fried rice. Very simple order, 15-20 min wait they said. My drive there was about 15, I go inside and pay and wait. I look around and see that there is only 2 waitresses working, and 2 tables dining. Both tables WITH their food already and another person waiting on their to go order too. Another 15 minutes go by and still waiting on my order, at this point I'm getting impatient, the guy before me gets his food and I wait ANOTHER 15 min. REALLY it takes 45 minutes to scoop out soup into a cup and rice in a container? These are remade foods that should not take that long to box up. Irritated I take my food and go home only find out that they messed up my order. I received 2 orders of hot and sour soup instead for 1 hot and sour and one egg flour! How can you mess such a simple order up?? It's been 5 days since I had placed my spare hot and sour soup in my fridge in hopes that someone else would eat it. Nope its still there full and it is such a waste... I was so upset I called my sister who loves this place as well, she had told me that recently she had a similar experience there with her food mix up. She had dined there and ordered a egg flour soup and it never got to her. After she had the rest of her food she asked for it again. Once she was eating they brought her 2 soups when she only had asked for the one, then they charged her for it. She also said another lady had a complaint about her food being mixed up as well. This was the second time I tried this place. The first time really sucked. The food was terrible. But, I thought I'd give them a second chance. Bad Idea. Firstly, it took an hour and twenty minutes for delivery. I live within a quarter mile of the place. Second, the on line menu listed one price, but my total at my door was over five dollars more than I expected. Thirdly, the food was disgusting. The potstickers were greasy and very chewy. Way over cooked. The BBQ Pork was tasteless. The pork lo mien was greasy with very little taste. The fried rice was palatable and the sweet & sour pork was fair. After all of this waste of my time, I was out $30.00 including tip. Next time I want to spend that much on dinner I will call Cidiccis. read more

I was introduced to AB a very long time ago. It has been a family favorite for a long time. Great service and food. My only issue is at times after an hour of waiting for delivery they will call and give you the option to cancel if they have not gotten to your order yet. Maybe they need a little more organization on busy days and nights. Also the pot stickers are touch and go.. sometimes they are the BEST other times you wonder what the heck happen in the kitchen. The owner is a very nice lady and always makes the experience pleasant. I give them 4 stars and will continue to always order from them. read more

We were really disappointed with our last dinner delivery order about 2 weeks ago. I ordered my favorite Shrimp lo mein & although the flavor was just okay there was no sauce making the noodles dry (I had to make up some sauce to add to it) Then I wasn't even have way through the container & there were no more shrimp & there weren't that many in the 1st half to begin with! My son ordered Pork Lo Mein & he said it was okay but lacked any noticabled crunchy veggies (cabbage, carrots, onions, etc) as it had nnormally. I ordered some chicken soup for later & there was plenty of noodles but barely any broth (I've never seen that before in chicken noodle soup), chicken and flavor so we had to "doctor" it up just to make it taste like chicken soup. The 1 good spot is was my mother ordered, Shrimp with vegetables. With the exception of the broccoli being no more than just heated up (in other words, raw) she said it tasted good.` After I place my order she tells me a price much higher than the online menu & she said "oh they haven't changed that online yet I give new menu to driver". I remembered I'd heard that months before when I'd place a previous to go order but figured surely they'd updated it by now? If they don't change online menu to current prices then they shouldn't charge new prices! Isn't that false advertising? It seems to be hit and miss with this place. Last year I stopped going because the food was going downhill then ie: lo mein noodles looked (& tasted) like regular spaghetti noodles (more than once) but I thought maybe they had a rough patch & they most likely would have gotten things straightened out by now they're still open right? So I went a few times this year & it seemed to be better until this last time. Finally, after we got through our meals we remembered the fortune cookies thinking they were always good but this time...they were really stale! No crunch what-so-ever. DISAPPOINTING! You'd think they've been around long enough they'd be more consistent & figure it out by now. I'm sad to say it but enough is enough.
