Their 1 dollar taco deal is great!! It is for their hard taco from 4-9 pm. I really like their hard tacos. I also ordered their soft taco and carne asada burrito to try it out. Their soft taco cost like 2.25. It was pretty big for a soft taco but they didnt add onions and cilantro like your typical soft tacos which I didnt not like. Their burrito was really small and disapointing. It might be the fact that I asked them to take out the bean and rice but for 6 bucks, they could have at least added a bit more meat. I am giving this place 4 stars because it's good bank for your buck. It is by no means the best Mexican food around, but the food tastes good enough, they serve you decent portions, and it's inexpensive. I've had their tortas, tacos, nachos, burritos, and they've all been tasty. This place is one of my favorites! It is my #1 choice for wet burritos.. Beans, cheese, rice, sour cream... Nails it every time. I'm super picky (even when it comes to bean and cheese burritos) and I have never been disappointed. The man who works here is always a pleasure to talk to and super helpful. They have salsa out for you take with u, as much as you please, which is always nice. And the salsa is great tasting also! I have been coming here very off n on for 17+yrs I don't live by here. I absolutely LOVE the shrimp enchiladas, that is the only this I have ever had here. I always say I'll get something different, and get the same thing! I don't know what the salsa is that they put on it, but I love it! I buy the combo which comes with rice, beans & chips, but when it comes to rice and beans I can take them or leave them! Beware of this place. They will try to rip you off on the price especially on the drinks. I ordered a large horchata he told me it was 2.65 when he rung it up it was 3.54. I had to pay for the drink bc my kids kept on drinking it. The beef tacos was OK, the chicken was nasty. It was just plain boiled chicken with no flavor. The salsa was water down. I've been eating at Taco Pub since the 1970s when they were located in Hacienda Heights. Now I commute from Rancho Cucamonga for the food and friendly service, and occasionally run into old high school friends who also travel for the food. The food is authentic and incredible. I almost always go for breakfast and get the best huevos rancheros I've ever tasted, but I've also eaten almost everything else on the menu and have ordered catering pans for parties. They make a unique sauce they put on the huevos and the wet burritos. It's incredible. People complaining about price need to go back to Taco Bell or learn how to add. The breakfast and dinner combos are $5.95. The portion sizes are large to extra large. The owner and staff treat you like family. I'm hoping nothing changes over the next 40 years. read more

Was craving authentic Mexican but didn't want to drive to hacienda heights and didn't want to go somewhere too sit down so with the help of Yelp reviews I tried this place. I've driven by it so many times but it didn't look appealing because it's between a subway and a happy wok and it's just a small place. Lesson learned: Don't judge a book by it's cover. This place is awesome and it's affordable authentic Mexican food. I tried the two soft taco combo for $5.99 and their special 99 cent hard shell fish taco. Let's just say I had leftovers. My favorites are the chili rellenos, tacos, barbacoa burritos, and especially the enchiladas... The sauce tastes very homemade and delicious! We lived nearby for 12 years and only discovered this gem 6 months before we moved out of state. We have tried Mexican food everywhere and this place is at the top of our list. The chile verde burrito wet leaves most others to shame. It is delicious. Although it is not on the menu the chiliquiles are the best. The service is so quick and the staff amazing and friendly. This is my go to place for Mexican food. I usually order the carne asada tacos, which are great. Last time I tried the ceviche tostada and that was pretty good as well. the only reason to ever eat here is if location is more important to u than taste. i've been here twice. the first time i had the 4-7pm taco deal. tried fish, beef and chicken. it was ok in flavor.. but the fish taco shell was obviously old. they tried to recycle it by deep frying it but despite the decaden flavor (crema), it just killed the taco experience. the second time i came, i had a wet carne asada burrito. their wet sauce is interesting, its not ur typical colorado/verde sauce. i think its a lard based sauce with onion and chilis. however, the carne asada was dry and tough. i was thinking about coming one more time before i wrote a review but the pattern ive seen of unfresh ingredients dissuades me. the counter girl is friendly enough, but i dont like the fact that its a pretend sit down resto. u order, then the girl tells u to come pick up the food. it was really confusing whether i should tip or not but of course i did. but.. i think this is the worst mexican resto in rowland. sorry abarca. read more

I thought it was a great deal since these were decent sized taco's it was filled nicely. I hope they bring it back. The food is less than OK I don't think the cook has an idea of what he is cooking. I work close to this place and have tried to give this place more than one chance but I'm better off eating from the frozen section at Albertson's. Today I asked for a breakfast burrito, egg whites (which the guy on the phone continue to reply with "you mean not yolk?" as if it was wrong to ask for egg whites ) tomato, bacon and onions. When I picked up the burrito I asked if it could be cut in half which it took the guy at the register to call the cook to ask him to do it, to which he made a face as if I asked for him to give me the burrito for free. Well I didn't say anything and left, I took a bite of my burrito and couldn't believe my eyes, the pieces of tomato were about 1 in. thick and RAW!!! and well the whole half of burrito that I was able to eat cuz I didn't want to throw away was full of again RAW onions. I couldn't eat the other half the taste of the UNCOOKED vegetables was not tasty at all. I think next time I'll just pay more and go across the street to the other mexican restaurant, its more expensive and time consuming but at least I'll be able to eat my food... their chorizo and eggs okay, their green chili its the worst, their taquitos okay (for the price) and their menudo i rather have the can (rosaritas)...I'm born and raise in Mexico and even though am open minded about this mexican restaurants not being my grandmothers kitchen, this place has no mexican taste. read more
