I do not recommend this dentist. Even before the pandemic I had terrible service, and it has only gotten worse. I have a broken tooth and the administrative staff didn't bother to contact me regarding treatment because my insurance didn't cover most of the cost - but I still needed treatment! The dentist himself seems very uninterested in the well being of his patients. I went in for my bi-annual appointment and he was dismissive of my complaints and didn't include a check up with my cleaning - the first time I have ever been in to see a dentist for this kind of appointment without actually being checked by the dentist at all. My husbands dentures were a disaster! They flew out of his mouth when he spoke. When we went for his post denture appts all he was told was to wait till the swelling goes down and we will make them fit properly. We waited and went back only to be told the same thing. They looked horrible and would NEVER fit right because when the temp dental assistant did the impressions she squished them all around in his mouth. He finally gave up after months of not being able to chew, and costing roughly $5.000 CASH! he went to a different dentist who made beautiful new dentures. NOW he is happy. I called needing to cancel my appointment because I'm sick and constantly coughing so I decided to cancel my appointment so I'm not coughing in the hygienists face while they're trying to clean my teeth with tools in my mouth. I want the give this place a 5 because their dentists and assistants certainly deserve it. The quality of their service and care is top notch. I came for an implant and found them to be outstanding. They were great about explaining what was going to happen and how I would need to respond. As for why I gave them a score less than 5, their administration did a very poor job of informing me in an advance of the total costs and progression of appointment. I was quite insistent that this information was critical before making an appointment with them. However, AFTER I was in the dental chair the administrator came to me with "Oops, we forgot to mention the added cost for _______" and suddenly 30% more was added to my bill. I was also informed I needed one more appointment than originally told, another "oops". So make sure you press over and over again for procedural information in advance AND in writing. Place is great for wisdom teeth removal. Dr was amazing & friendly. However, the Dental Hygienist that works there & cleans teeth is the worst I've ever been to. It was the first time I come into the office for a cleaning & it will definitely be the last. There is only one dental hygienist in the office & she was VERY, VERY ROUGH & RUSHING THE ENTIRE TIME. I understand you're on a tight schedule but I have never had an experience with a dental hygienist like this before. Not sure if she was ready to go home or what. But the hand held scaling was so rough, I was scared & clenching the entire time because I was scared she was gonna rip off my gums or something. She didn't use an ultrasonic, never been to a dental office where they didn't use that to scale my teeth. She has a heavy hand too so the tools were poking my lips, my gums & scratching everything you can think of. Throughout the time I was sitting in her chair, I was waiting for the moment for her to hurry up & finish. At one point I was going to cut her off & tell her sorry I just can't continue with the service because she was just too messy & rough!!!! I'm usually not terrified of going into dental offices because I myself am looking to pursue a career in the dental field. But my god, that was a nightmare. Would not recommend her at all. She was touching things like her computer & the handle for the light with the same gloves she uses to touch my face & mouth. More than likely a violation. The WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I showed up at 9:22am for my 9:30 appointment. I signed in and had a seat in the waiting room. I waited until 10:00am until I approached the counter and asked the office manager Evelyn what time my appointment was. Evelyn replied "it was 9:30, but since you didn't call back to confirm so we moved your appointment" I asked Evelyn "when did this become a policy?" "All other professional facilities assume the patient will be at the appointment unless the patient calls and cancels". Evelyn replied "well that's our policy" Evelyn started to raise her voice at me, and called me hun, which I asked her to watch her tone and not to call me hun. I also asked her to stop interrupting me, as I was trying to speak. I asked "hypothetically if I didn't show up to my appointment, would you charge me a no show fee?" Evelyn replied "yes" I asked "why would you charge a no show fee if you gave away my appointment?" Evelyn replied "I'm not going to argue with you" and walked away I continued to stand at the counter as the waiting room was full of people. Evelyn walked back into the counter and asked me if I was going to stay for an appointment. I replied "that's why I'm still standing here" Evelyn commanded "well have a seat" I asked Evelyn "Where?" as the waiting room was full of people. I then played the voicemail that Evelyn left on my phone on speaker phone for her to hear. On the voicemail Evelyn said "I'm calling to confirm your 9:30am appointment, if there are any changes please give us a call" I then explained "I followed her directions according to her voicemail" "She confirmed my appointment meaning that my appointment was still standing" "She stated that if anything changes to give us a call" "Nothing changed so I didn't call back" "I've never had any no show appointments, so why would you assume I wouldn't show up?" The verbiage in the voicemail should have been different and stated "if I don't call back my appointment would be canceled" Evelyn stated "I'm not arguing with you about this" I took a seat as many patients have already completed their appointments. I then overheard Evelyn "I need to dismiss a patient" on the telephone. Evelyn then instructed another employee to type a letter. Evelyn then called me to the counter and mispronounced my name. I corrected her and instead of saying it correctly, she rolled her eyes and referred to me by my last name instead. I approached the counter and Evelyn handed me a letter of dismissal. The grounds of dismissal were that I didn't call and confirm my appointment, and their policies on confirming appointments are very strict. So this doesn't happen again they think it's best that I'm dismissed from the practice. (Keep in mind I've never had an issue in the past, or a no show appointment) I asked to speak to the dentist and Evelyn stated "He's busy with patients" I asked to speak with someone else in charge, she replied "I'm in charge, and walked away" I waited and was able to speak to a dental hygienist, which allowed me to speak without interruption. I've never been in a professional establishment that if a mistake was made, and apology wasn't issued. Instead the following happened: - I was demeaned by Evelyn raising her voice while speaking to me - Evelyn calling me "hun" in a condesending tone - Evelyn walked around rather than giving me her undivided attention while speaking with me -Evelyn intentionally disregarding the pronunciation of my name and rolling her eyes, even though I corrected her with the correct pronunciation -Dismissing me from the dental practice, while wasting an hour and forty minutes without being seen for my cleaning. All of this could have been prevented by admitting that the verbiage of the voicemail Evelyn left was incorrect according to office policies, and Evelyn could have apologized instead of the unprofessional behavior. It's a shame I don't even know the name of the Dr. Who took care of us but he is a pro! I thought gingivectomy was supposed to be painful but no! He numbed 1/2 of my mouth in less than a minute. I've received local anesthesia from several dentists before, but no one was never this good. The procedure was smooth and quick. I only needed a deep root planing and scaling procedure and had only ONE cavity to fill. No other issues! Not happy I had to be so stressed out and almost lost 2 of my natural teeth due to Allay Dental's inaccurate evaluation (whether deliberate or not, I don't know). I need to share with everyone how wonderful ABC Dental care is! I had my surgery done last week. Just as promised, I left there with all new teeth! Dr. Khorshid and his entire staff are all very kind and caring and now I have the most beautiful smile! I had very bad gum disease and was losing all my bone from my jaw. Dr. Khorshid is miracle worker! Not only did he give me beautiful teeth, he also corrected my bite. Now it's perfect!!! I am very very impressed with my implants. If i could give the girls at the front desk a different review from dr kevin khorshid i would because they were so polite and very professional unlike their boss dr khorshid. first off he's not my primary dentist, i only scheduled an appt with him at abc dental today so that i can get a referral to see a specialist. in august of 2016 i was involved in a car accident that left me with no car, a broken arm, a concussion, i had to quit my job, i had to postpone school for 5 monthes, and a misplaced jaw i wouldn't know about until november of 2016, and it goes without saying i've been very stressed the past couple of months. this accident shouldn't have happened to me, had the other driver been paying attention but it's long over now, i'm still trying to move on from it. my primary dentist already gave me a referral to see the specialist i need to see to realign my jaw and what not, but my primary dentist only accepts the insurance my mom has. i am double covered under both my parents but my parents aren't together, that makes finding a dentist that accepts both of their insurances difficult. when i looked on the culinary website and was scrolling through dentists, i was happy and shocked to have found a dentist that accepted BOTH of my insurances, i made an appt for today at 1:30 and i went. when they finally called me back that's when they took x-rays and once the girl was done was when dr kevin khorshid walked in, he walks in, he shakes my hand and he asked me what we were going to do today and i explained very politely that i needed a referral to the specialist. i explained to him why i had to go see that specific doctor and who had given me the first referral. just so we're clear, i don't NEED a second referral from a dentist that accepts culinary, but if i go to see the specialist without the second one, my co pay with be very expensive, im 18, like i said this accident broke my arm, i had no choice but to quit my job, no job = no money. i fully rely on my parents, i am embarrassed to say that but it's the truth. dr kevin khorshid cut me off and said "we don't give referrals" and that left me puzzled, almost like a "huh?" and he said because "i'm no long time patient we don't give referrals" again i explained why i needed it otherwise my copay with be very expensive. he wouldn't budge nor would he hear me out, he just kept cutting me off so finally i said "alright well then i'm leaving" and he said okay and as i was walking out the door that led to the main lobby he was pointing at me and telling one of the girls behind the desk to "don't give her referral, she only came to get referral and leave" in front of two of his other patients. everyone looked at me ill bet you can imagine how that made me feel. he put my business out in front of his employees and his patients and that proved how unprofessional he is and how much of a jerk he is. i don't recommend going to dr kevin khorshid for anything, i wish i can move past this accident that striped nearly everything i loved for months and continues to, but its jerks like dr kevin khorshid that won't let me. if you're looking for a new dentist look elsewhere. make dr kevin koshich your last resort read more

It's been about 4 years since my original review. My daughter lives in CA but her dental insurance is still in Nevada. She recently had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, 2 by ABC Dental and 2 by an oral surgeon recommended by ABC Dental. She had developed a bone spur that caused inflammation at one of the extraction sites. The oral surgeon removed it but A few weeks later she was still in a lot of pain and exhausted. We called Brandy in the front office, explained the situation and she was able to squeeze my daughter in the very next morning. Dr K. And Jennifer were very thorough and did X-rays and exam. They recommended she see the oral surgeon so he could take a look at the site of the bone spur extraction. Dr K and his staff are professional and really do care about their patients. My husband just had 4 teeth pulled and his first dental implant done by Dr. K. It's been over a month and my husband really likes the implant. He is scheduled for a few more.
