I initially came here to get my teeth cleaned and was pleased with that experience. I made an appointment a month ago to get my wisdom tooth removed. I came in for my appointment, sat in the chair for 2 secs for them to say, "We have to refer you to an oral surgeon." This was all based off of xrays they ALREADY had. They could have reviewed the xrays prior to me coming. I took several days off of work for a recovery period. What a total waste of my time! I would suggest either doing a separate consultation or reviewing xrays prior to people coming in and rearranging their schedules. I appreciate their kindness but that doesn't get my time back. read more

I met Dr. Sam and his staff a little over ten years ago... I had the worst tooth ache ever, it was Christmas eve, and every dentist I called was closed or just leaving to enjoy the holidays with their family. By luck I called Dr. Sam's office and he told me he was just leaving, but how long would it take me to get there...he would wait. I couldn't believe it! Even though I despise the Dentist office...My family and I have been going to Dr. Sam ever since. Dr Sam and his staff are friendly and have a way of calming you. I went here a couple of years ago and was reminded of the terrible service I got when I recently got a letter from a collections agency saying I owed money to this dentist office. I was referred to this dentist by a trusted friend..the only problem was my friend has insurance and I didn't so I went in as a cash paying customer. My friend never had to experience getting ripped off how I did. I went in because I had the most excruciating toothache I'd ever experienced. If anyone has had tooth pains, you know they are the worst pain ever. Dr. Sam was very friendly as I was told and the office staff were all nice...but when I told Dr. Sam where my pain was he said he didn't see anything. They took xrays and everything. He then suggested that I needed a deep cleaning and maybe maybe that would cure my pain, that it could possibly be pain from my gums. I told him I really didn't think that was it but being in that much pain I said sure do it . He said he was giving me a discount since I was friends w one of his patients ...$770. Again I was in a lot of pain so I didn't think to research prices or call around, I assumed it was a good deal. Later I found out it wasn't . It was very average to high priced. Okay fine. If that's what I needed I wouldn't care BUT my pain was still there. I returned a week later and all of a sudden they find the problem right away! My tooth was cracked! So much that the assistant was like woah it's completely cracked in half. Mind you this is the exact tooth I told him where I was having pain...how did they not see this the first time?? So now he says "well we have to pull it" okay great, anything to stop the pain. They pull it and he tells me it's $220 and I say "I already paid $500 (I had made a partial payment for the deep cleaning and owed $270 on it ) but since you misdiagnosed me shouldn't this be complimentary?" All of a sudden his friendly demeanor disappeared. He told me "well you took the service and needed it" and I said "if I knew that my tooth was cracked and it could've been pulled for $200 I never would've said yes for the cleaning" and he basically walked away from me and wouldn't talk to me about it. He had his front desk staff member write me a balance and I told them I'm not going to pay , Ive already paid more than what I would've had he diagnosed my tooth ache correct" they sent me bills to which I called and told them a few times I wasn't going to pay. Then the bills and calls stopped so I figured they heard and understood my case. But now I find out they sent it to collections. I'm not a person to try to get anything for free but when someone comes in and tells you where the exact pain they are feeling is at and a professional can't see a cracked tooth, that's a problem. It was either negligence or complete shade to get more money. Either scenario is unacceptable. All the rave reviews are prob from people w insurance who don't have to deal w being ripped off . Anyway it's a shame that I'm still being charged for this. I was in a week worth of excruciating pain between the time he gave me a cleaning and when I went back and he found the real problem. read more

First I have to agree with everyone - Dr. Sam is fantastic! I had broken a tooth the previous night and I had just gotten off work and was able to get an appointment within 15 minutes of when I called. I wasn't in pain, just a bit of discomfort and seriously nervous about getting the thing pulled but I knew it had to go! I get to the office & filled out the basic paperwork and I didn't have to wait but a minute before they were ushering me back. While I was filling out the paperwork, Dr. Sam popped up front and asked me how I was doing as did another gentleman. Dr. Sam greeted me at the front desk at as I came through to the back. He understood that I was nervous, scared, hadn't been to the dentist in a while and assured me he was going to take care of me. I got a quick x-ray & he showed me exactly what was happening with my tooth and then got to work. It was like a well-oiled machine back there! I can't say enough about how friendly & efficient everyone was! I have worked in a dental office & this was amazing! Before I knew it, I was on my way home after about 45 minutes and extremely happy about how well the extraction went. Minimal swelling and a little bit of pain today but totally worth getting that jacked up tooth out of my head! I definitely recommend ABC Dental Group! read more

Always great service here! Everyone is very friendly and non-judgmental. I've been here to have a filling replaced and just recently for a cleaning. Both were quick and relatively pain free. The dentist is really nice and even gave me some toothpaste and toothbrush specifically for my gum troubles. Honestly recommend them! Also, if you don't have insurance like me the price for my cleaning was about $120 which I thought was very reasonable. Maybe you could get it cheaper somewhere else but this office is clean, friendly, the wait for an appointment is super short, and just overall really professional. read more

I've been coming here for years! Their care and commitment to their patients has always been spot on, but today they went above and beyond. I have previously had a root canal at a different dentist and had a terrible experience, leaving me scarred and nervous for another one. I came in to my appointment with these notions and told them about my previous experience. They completely understood and helped calmed my nerves. During the procedure, they made me feel relaxed and even made me crack a smile with some jokes! It was quick and comfortable enough to jokingly say, "I'll gladly do it again." I had a painful Christmas with a throbbing toothache, it was such a relief when someone answered the phone at ABC at 8:01am on 12/26 and was able to fit me (a brand new patient) in for emergency treatment that morning. I was even more relieved when I was greeted by the incredibly welcoming and cheerful staff. I was seen almost immediately by the doctor and he really set me at ease. I saw Dr. Sam today for the first time..I have a deep fear of Dentists due to events in my youth. Without going into detail, another local Dentist destroyed my trust a couple of years ago. I explained my fears and my story with Dr. Sam who was completely understanding and genuine and not only he, but his office staff...(Anna..thank you for the sweet hug!) helped to calm my nerves, walked me through every step in dealing with my toothache and even though I walked in to ABC Dental in tears, I left with dry eyes and a sense of relief. I avoided seeing him for a long time because I hate going to the dentist, but my tooth pain overcame my fear and I had my top two wisdom teeth extracted in under 10 minutes and I didn't feel a single thing and I drove home and that was that! This office is all about making money. There's no doubt Dr. Sam and his staff are friendly and competent however it seems that they'll do everything and anything to get every single dime from your insurance. This includes pressuring you into doing unnecessary procedures. I've never gotten so much pressure to get my wisdom teeth (which were not bothering me at all) pulled out. One of the female doctors repeatedly said that it would be such a quick and easy procedure. I told her I had to work right after and she said that would be no problem, I could go to work fine/no pain meds required, and continued to pressure me over several visits. I have a job where I have to be constantly alert and talking to people, so I didn't really want to trust her and I just didn't like how pushy she was being about it. I hadn't been to the dentist in years so I needed a lot of work done and expected the bill to be high but was never given any indication of how much any procedure was going to cost. I had never had my own dental insurance before and wasn't aware of how much things were/what percentage I would be paying so it was definitely my fault for not doing more research. However, on my final visit they presented me with a bill for $800. I was shocked and said, "Wow. Isn't that expensive?" The receptionist simply said, "This is not that expensive." I don't know what world they live in, but $800 is a lot of money to charge someone without any warning. Will never go back again and highly recommend others go elsewhere. Dr. Sam is not the only nice dentist around. If they could be more honest and upfront about what they are doing and what they are charging, it would be a great office. read more

This practice was referred to us by a friend over 15 years ago. They've never, ever been rude. In fact Gandhi's dying regret was that he was not quite as nice as Dr. Sam. True statement, though I am paraphrasing. The staff is--from the front desk to the dental assistants--incredibly friendly, too. They get hired and they stay because it's a great place. They know the names of all of my kids. too. And I'm Catholic, so that's no small feat. I can understand the (as of this writing) one negative post for the place being slammed with business and therefore sometimes requiring a lobby wait. I would encourage one to take a closer look: They know what they're doing and word has gotten out. The vast majority of those people in the waiting room have been going there for years--in my own case, generations. I live about 25 miles away from Dr. Sam now, and I probably pass a hundred dentists on the way to his place. I'm sure some of those dentists are stellar and a few are even nice, but I really don't care. ABC Dental ensures a positive experience for me and my family every. single. visit. Don't believe me? I don't know about you, but I DREAD going to the dentist. It was only by chance that I came across Dr. Sam. A few years ago I had a dental emergency. I chose ABC Dental from the insurance list since it was walking distance from my house AND they were able to see me immediately. I was nervous, anxious and scared to say the least. Who doesn't feel like this when going to the dentist? Dr. Sam is not your typical dentist. He took the time to introduce himself and get some of my background information. He reassured me that everything was going to be ok and instantly made me feel at ease. Not only did I get my emergency fixed, but I went on to get some cosmetic work done I'd been wanting for so long. Dr. Sam did a PHENOMENAL job! I get numerous compliments on my teeth! Since then I've referred him to all my family and friends. He's become our "resident dentist". He truly is gifted. Not just with dentistry, but his people skills as well. I brought my daughter here to get retainers, I've never been more frustrated with what my daughter had told me about the pain they caused her. This tall Hispanic man who did her retainers shoved it straight in her mouth and while she was gagging he still wasn't gentle with my daughter. Her old dental place was so calm and caring and always made sure she was ready before almost choking her.
