We had a shower faucet break and wouldn't turn off. As a result, we had to shut off all water to the house. The plumber we called who was "covered" by our home warranty told us it wasn't fixable or covered by warranty. I called Preferred Services after finding them on Porch.com around 7:30pm and told them about our problem. The receptionist was extremely nice and told me she would send someone out between 9-10. Miguel ended up coming around 8:45 and had it fixed in 10 minutes. The entire thing cost less than what our home warranty plumber told us just a trip out to our house after hours would. Last month I wrote a review regarding a water heater repair at my Palm Springs condo. It was gratifying to find that the owners of Preferred Services contacted me promptly to discuss the issues presented in my review. Apparently, there was a misunderstanding that this was to be a warranty repair so they quickly contacted the manufacturer for an adjustment on the billing. I will never recommend this company. After 3 days of them trying to install a new AC unit, and 2 of their employees being told to do a job they said they wont do, I have found 2 1/2 years later they were frustrated and never tightened the gas lines on our unit and our water heater. So in time more gas leaking out. Causing me to get multiple headaches and neurological issues that doctors could not figure out. Worst part? The two lazy employees waited for the supervisor two leave then as we were working outside, proceeded to pull out a few of my movies to watch and relax in my recliners. After 1 1/2 hours I walked in to find them laughing and 4 movies out of their cases. I told them they were told to inspect the air ducts. They said they dont have to. But after countless doctors and medications, I say good riddance. I will pay this unit off but recommend any company other than this one. Plus telling me my filter was $167.00. I looked it up and it was $54. But the best one is $94. Yes he checked one line with the garage door open but never the gas line to the water heater. Hummm still not good My lawyer is not happy that we have been dealing with this and is getting reports. So now they are saying it is not their fault. Hummm someone puts soapy water on a connection but not all of them. He didnt check the water heater, he didnt check the connection that was loose. Didnt turn on the unit's to test them. read more

Wanted to thank Ronda & Mike for a Friday night rescue. Got to the house in Palm Desert and the water was turned off for some reason and I couldn't fix it myself. Sunday morning shock. Water everywhere and dripping in the garage. Called Preferred Plumbing (they had been referred by a friend who works at TruValue Hardware). Came at 8 am on a Sunday, fixed and repaired in an hour or so. Kaze the repairman was superb. Had a discussion anbout hard water system and calcium damage, and did prevention system work. By far the best, most efficient, professional, responsive, and clean service we have ever experienced. Found out our AC went out during the night on Friday. Called preferred Saturday morning and left a message. Their office called back immediately and had someone out right away. Even though they could not get the part we needed over the weekend, they brought back 2 floor air coolers for us to get through the weekend. So I had a problem with my water filtering system and was concerned because it was running water through it non stop. If you ever had a problem or have been burned by Perferred Air....  I recommend  you give  the new ownership (Absolute Airflow ) an opportunity  to service you.  I bought a unit from Perferred Air in August.   We bought  the unit from a guy named Steve. ( I will spare some of the details in an effort to make this review shorter.)  But long story short, we were so ROYALLY screwed  over by Perferred.  They did the installation  in August, I had to call more times than I care to remember to fix my unit that kept breaking down.  Finally I was told "ill get back to you after the holidays " turns out they sold the business and washed their hands,, left me in a nightmare with a unit that kept breaking over and over and over and over again. Now, the companys name is Absolute Airflow....At this time Broc came out to help us.. ( i appreciate  you Broc for actually caring enough to figure out what the problem TRULY was.  You truly are one of a kind employee)  The return wasn't large enough in my home for the unit that was installed.  So now i have a unit that doesn't  even FIT my home.  Long story short, Marcus thank you for sending someone  in to ACTUALLY fix  the problem....they took the  existing unit, made a platform  in order to add a 2nd return to get it ready for a DIFFERENT unit.  Much to our surprise,  the unit that was being TAKEN from the home was not a variable  speed, and not a lennox..... (which we were told by said Steve we were  getting, paying for  and signing for.... shame on me for not looking up serial numbers and just TRUSTING that what I was signing for was what was VERBALLY told to us in order to get the unit sold... next time I will ALWAYS look up serial numbers on anything I purchase.) Anyway, Marcus sent in a new set of guys. Pablo, paco and celestino to do my installation.   It's interesting that  the guys who  installed with Perferred  Air told  us SEVERAL times there was NO WAY anyone could get into my attic to run a wire 10 FEET as my crawl space was " too small."  Well.... thats funny,  celestino went into my attic and ran a wire  25 FEET into my furnace.  Thank you guys,  you did an excellent job.  The installation looks WAY cleaner than the 1st, it is WAYYYYY quieter...SIGNIFICANTLY quieter..  and overall doesn't LOOK sloppy. Marcus thank you for standing by the company... and making a TERRIBLE situation  right for us.  Oh, and we got a lennox unit.   Not the cheap wannabe with the Perferred  label on the side.  (yes, this time I looked at serial numbers. )  I would never recommend  the old company.  I would say run and RUN FAST. I needed to have my a/c tuneup done before the summer heat wave. I've used Comfort Air & General before both times charged around $68 for basically a 20 minute service. I saw this company's billboard on Date Palm in Cat City advertising an a/c tuneup for $49, so I called them! I was impressed from the moment Jonathan showed up to my home. He was cleanly dressed in his uniform, well mannered & even put on shoe covers before entering my home without me even asking. He preceded to tell me exactly what my a/c tuneup consisted of & took pictures as proof, he literally took about 45 minutes for the entire procedure & he even brought his own broom to sweep the dust & dirt collected from my a/c! Both Comfort Air & the General technicians never did that! I was very impressed & satisfied with his detailed service & professionalism & all for just $49 as advertised! I'm sold on this company! A couple months ago, at 2am I woke up in a sweat to find that our air conditioner had stopped working during a severe heat wave in Indio. We have 2 small children so we quickly called the first person we saw on the internet which was Preferred heating and air. They said they would send someone out as soon as possible and only 2 hours later a gentleman arrived who was well dressed and very professional. He got our air back on within 30 minutes and I signed up for a plan with them that affords me discounts and semi annual services. I've used them for a plumbing issue just recently (again in the middle of the night and on a weekend) and we had another great experience and we got a discount for being on the membership plan. We can't say enough good things about this company and my family and I are truly thankful that we found them!! I highly recommend this company to all family and friends!
