I scheduled the gentleman I spoke with by phone to come look at a very slow running kitchen faucet. The agreed upon time was between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. At 4:30, I received a call from home that the plumber was there. We asked him to wait as I was literally 5 to 10 minutes from home, and he had arrived well before the scheduled time. He said he was going to run to another job and he'd be right back. After two messages left, one at 6:00 and the other at 6:30, there was no sign of the plumber, nor any call back. I may be old fashioned, but at least acknowledging my phone call or letting me know he indeed was NOT going to return would have been greatly appreciated. I'll not use this business again. read more

I had a minor slow-drain issue with my bathtub that I've been dealing with for several months. By "minor", I mean that it would take a minute or so to drain (not bad at all). I decided that I felt it was time to clear it up before it got worse. With that being said, I contacted my home warranty provider to send a contractor out. From there, an appointment was made directly with a plumbing company (I'll omit their name). A technician came to my house on Wednesday. The technician was made fully aware of the MINOR issue and even tested the water out himself to see how it drains. For about 15 minutes, he attempted to use a manual, hand-crank snake through the metal-plate that you remove below the faucet (I think it allows access to the waste or drain pipe). He kept mentioning that he wasn't sure what direction he was going as he said that the pipe goes multiple directions (I later found out that the pipe only goes down). After a few moments, horribly dirty water started filling up my tub. It was at that moment that he said that we would need another plumber to come out with a "camera" and the shower, obviously, wouldn't be usable until this new, severe clog was remedied. He even tried my personal plunger, which was odd. The technician then said that he would call my home warranty provider to schedule for a different plumber to come out and that he would call me back...he never called back. Later that evening, I then called the actual office for his company. I explained the situation to the woman that answered the phone. She told me that she would coordinate for another plumber to come out and that she too would call me back...she too was a liar. Although the shower was out-of-order, my family and I didn't want the dirty water in the tub to start smelling, so we manually scooped it out with a paper cup...that was a lot of fun (I'm being sarcastic). After another 4 hours of anguish, I finally found Absolute Pro Plumbing on my own. Ameer answered my call and was very friendly on the phone. He gave me confidence that his company was more competent and equipped to clear this new clog and the old one. Ameer's technician came out at 7am on Thursday morning and cleared the clog with an electric snake in under a minute. The technician explained to me that the previous plumber probably pushed the old clog further down, but not far enough and eventually gave up or got tired. As trivial as this may sound, the previous technician also opened my front-door several times without removing his dirty gloves. If you noticed, I didn't say "closed"...he never closed my front-door each time he left my house. Ameer's technician removed his gloves as soon as he was done working on the tub. Ameer's team had to remove the old shutoff valve as it was no longer working(it would turn but not shutoff the water). When they tried to solder in the new valve, the solder would not hold as a little water kept dripping(This was after the faucets in the house had been left open to let the water drain). The dripping went on for more than an hour. Ameer and his team patiently kept trying till the solder finally took hold and the new valve was successfully installed.
