My go to spot for a refreshing and healthy Acai bowl. This is a great alternative for breakfast, especially on a warm morning. They also have delicious savory pastries like the Coxinha, or the one with added cream cheese. Both have shredded chicken inside and are like a bite-size empanada. They do also have empanadas, along with cheese bread, and banana bread. My usual order is the Tahiti Bowl, which has all the fruits you should be having every day, over a frozen Acai sorbet base, and honey drizzled on top. But the best day to go is on National Acai Bowl Day every April 6th. If you're one of the first few who make it in dancing through the front door, you get a free one! Don't forget to mark your calendars, and sign up for their occasion deals and updates.

Overall I recommend this place, especially for açai bowls and since that's what they're marketing themselves as I'm sticking with 4 stars. The baked food is probably 3.5 stars. In total we got a Cali Bowl, coxinha with cream cheese, cheese bread, beef empanadas, and a slice of banana bread. Ordering is simple on two kiosk screens and the food came out fast with good customer service. The açai bowl in the regular size was shareable. Very tasty and refreshing. We went halfsies on it and then tried some of the pastries. 5/5 The beef empanadas are 4/5 good, seasoned nicely and served hot but not burn-your-mouth temperature.The dough was crispy without crumbling everywhere. Adding hot sauce makes them better. The coxinha with cream cheese was 4/5. Good portion and I liked the outer crumb texture and the creaminess inside. The dough was kinda gooey on one side though, and not in the way that made it seem on purpose. The cheese rolls were 3/5 so not our favorite, but maybe we weren't ready for the tapioca flour. They still *tasted* good, but the texture wasn't our thing. Banana bread wasn't super sweet and is served room temp. The slices are thick but I wish ours had been more moist. It's a dense bread! 3/5

I like they have the mini bowl option! It's small but was still filling for a lunch! The acai itself is yummy, not as liquidy as I normally like my acai normally. I like that the mango was an option for fruits. Easy to build your own bowl with kiosk. I think the acai here is more expensive than other local acai spots. It was $16 for my mini bowl after addition of some extra toppings like goji berries, flax seeds, agave, and peanut butter. Many other acai places give unlimited toppings. Fruit tasted fresh though and service was good!

I've never had such bad drinks. It's the first time my juices tasted bad, and I didn't come back to complain because I was in a hurry. My son's juice was a smoothie instead of juice, and mine is too unpleasant. It doesn't taste like other times. It seems like the fruit was old, and it tastes bad.

Ordered the Madly Mango a blend of acai, coconut, pineapple, strawberries, guarana (contains natural caffeine) with a topping granola, banana, strawberries, and blueberries. A small is $6.25. If you're allergic to nuts do not get the granola. I specifically asked if there were any nuts in the Pitaya Bowl & was told there wasn't. I'm highly allergic to nuts and I can end up in the hospital. I just wasted $10 and now my mouth is swollen. read more

Quite possibly the best acai bowl I've ever had! The portion was huge for the price. The acai blend was also super thick, not runny and watered down like at other places. The fruit was perfectly ripe, and the layers of my bowl maintained their distinct texture from the first bite to last. I don't like banana and I have a hard time finding an acai joint that doesn't put banana in the acai blend by default. The Madly Mango at Acai Republic was perfect, packed full of all my favorite tropical fruits and not a trace of banana. Fellow banana haters will understand this plight and appreciate this menu option! read more

This places used to be great. Now they give you paper cups and less on your order. Not to mention that the Acai taste is completely frozen. didn't see the lady blend anything. Maybe pre-made acai?? Best açaí in town, hands down. Little pricey but worth it. My favorite go-to is the Tahitian bowl and I add coconut shreds and honey. Absolutely delicious, refreshing with the freshest ingredients. It's the only thing I'll pay extra to have delivered when I don't have time to run out! read more

I got the Mr. Green juice. I did not get a juice. I got a thick mushy smoothie type thing that's 80% pulp. I sucked whatever juice I could and the rest is so thick, that it made me gag. I turned the bottle sideways in the photo so you could see that mess is not moving in there. Also, they go HEAVY on the agave sweetener. I nixed the apple because I didn't want all the sugar, but I got twice that with the sweetener alone. Jamba Juice and Whole Foods have actual juice. read more

Have been coming here for the past couple weeks since our fav place, Paradise Bowls is closed. Acai bowls are decent but expensive for what you get. The smell in this place is awful. Not sure if it's the gym next door, but my daughter and I think it smells like vomit. Needless to say, we won't be coming back. read more

Was craving a acai bowl on a Sunday but unfortunately a lot of the Acai joints around my neighborhood were closed. Thank god for yelp I found this place so decided to take the drive and boy was it worth it . Amazing bowl! I had the mango bowl and added chia seeds. The blended portion was well frozen and lots of extra fruit on top! You have a choice of honey or agave, as since I dont like honey, it was nice to have a choice. I will be back to try others! read more

Bowl itself was good, no problems there. Went during a non peak time, few people there, no line. Tell me why it took close to 20 minutes to make the bowl! 2 ladies working behind the counter, we couldn't figure out why it was taking so long. Maybe because they were cutting each fruit one by one, and blending everything for each order? I was ready to tell them forget it, it had taken too long. I think it was a combination of the girls gabbing with each other, and the fact that there didn't seem to be an efficient system in place. Maybe precut the fruit or something. Bowl was well priced, tasted good. But MAN it does not need to take 20 mins! Going to give them another chance still read more

This is my fav Açai place so far! Why is that? Because although the place is small and if you come in when it's busy it might take a little longer to get your açai for the reason that they're usually short on staff but when you taste the açai everything is worth it. The texture of the açai is rich and think as ice cream, unlike others that are more liquid form almost soup like which I personally don't like. An example of that would be Jamba Juice's açai bowl. The Rio de Janeiro bowl is the one I always get. You can add extra coconut, granola, honey and other things for 50 cents I believe. The fruits are always fresh as well and they have a jar of water mixed with different fruits everyday for you to serve yourself. Until I find a better açai place this will always be my fav one. read more

Absolutely the most authentic Acai I have had in the states! They have a variety of different bowls, juices and smoothies to meet everyone's needs. I am a huge fan of the Hawaiian with extra honey! They have locations all across the OC, so I am sure there is one you can find near you! Also the employees are so nice and always give off positive energy. *PRO TIP* there can be a wait around lunch time, so call about 15mins ahead and it will be ready when you get there :) read more

The matcha was pretty good but I think their food was such letdown so I wouldn't make the 30-40 min commute through traffic.

Acai Republic is the total package. The products are great but the customer service is top notch. The cute guy who was taking my order was very knowledgeable about Acai. I actually came here for the green juice another yelper said was great, but after he told me the benefits of an Acai Bowl I had to try one of theirs. I have had acai bowls before but it was nice to be told the benefits. The Acai Republic bowl I had was by far better than the one i had at banzai bowls . The guy said they make their bowls the traditional Brazilian way and use guarana as a sweetener. I came here today on my lunch break, I got in there and ordered right away, there was only one person ahead of me who had already ordered, not only was the music too loud you had to shout to order I waited 35 minutes to get my food, it took me walking back to the front counter to see my stuff sitting in the blender then they got the food wrong, so by the time I actually got my acai bowl it was completely melted, I ordered a "fresh Squeezed" juice, let me say RUN!!! all me fellow Nektar juice bar lovers steer clear of this place they added SO much sugar to my juice it was awful!!! This place is MAGIC. I drive from Newport Beach to Old Town Tustin, getting stuck on the 55 freeway is well worth it when I am craving Acai. I've tried Sambozan and Banzai Bowls, both are ok more like a C-, but the Tahiti Bowl at Acai Republic is out of this world. The health benefits with the flavors can't be topped. In the mood for a pep in your step, try the double espresso. Staff is cute and friendly and welcome you with a smile. Place is clean, with great music and a great vibe. Also, the açaí with less fruit and obviously smaller is more expensive. I like this place, their acai bowls are really nice and packed with extra fruit. I feel you get your money's worth. i like the smoothie texture type of acai but this was very pleasant as well. The only thing that made me feel off was that the cashier had a flat and lifeless kind of attitude so it made it very awkward for me to pick something out from the menu.
