I have two words for Acapulco - HAPPY HOUR! Acapulco has the best top shelf margaritas for very reasonable prices during their happy hour which lasts until 6:30. I have got to say I was disappointed in this place. The food was not very good. I know we visited during COVID but when the waitress won't recommend a dish, I was questioning why we were there. This isn't going to be a fancy Mexican place. So if you are looking for a high end plates you want to step away. This is good quick "sloppy" Mexican- I mean this in a good way. It's always piping hot, huge quantities, and quickly made. Their drinks are not the coldest and their service can sometimes be slow but their prices are worth it all. They always have deals everyday and it's always super cheap and quick. They try their hardest to keep up - I mean last time I was there last week one poor guy was handling 6 tables and they kept coming in. Covid does affect service reminder. read more

Unfortunately too spicy for my fiancé , so we asked for a replacement meal which our server Jams was more than happy to accommodate! OMG! I cannot believe how small the items have become. I went there for dinner and had the three items with rice and beans, chips and salsa dinner meal. It sure looks like they reduced how much beans they give you and reduced how much rice they gave you about half of what they used to give you and their chips are kinda like not crunchy with too much humidity in real fan And their sulfur is watered down, and their taco is so small. It's like maybe 2 tablespoons of meat in there. Their taco has less meat and Taco Bell. And the enchilada is microscopic. It looks like they've changed their normal size corner chair down to the street taco which is much smaller to make this tiny enchilada and I don't think there's about 2 tablespoons of meat in there, and then I picked the float which is rolled up in a taquito kind of thing and they give you one with no sauce and no guacamole noted by that separately and that was $16. I ordered a Diet Coke so I just had the three items that were really really tiny with a Diet Coke and tip out, the door was $26. I was in such shock and I felt so ripped off. I don't know how they can think that they can give you tiny microscopic Items in charge that much. It's just beyond ridiculous and I don't think I'd ever go back. The food isn't that great to be going back on a regular basis anyways but with these prices, it's like insanity. read more

I'm gonna just say, NO!!!! My family and I were invited for a group party or I would have walked out. I will never eat at this restaurant again. I barely touched my plate after 2 bites and it's the most disgusting Mexican food I've ever eaten. It is basically vomit on a plate. The same food regurgitated with a different name for each dish. You'd think if you ordered nachos it would be different from the chips on the table. The steak was so tough you couldn't even cut it with the steak knife. Honestly, save yourself some money. This is my FIL's favorite place to eat so whenever anyone in the family visited, he'd take them (us) there. I went there for the first time a couple of months ago and it was wonderful!! I lived in New Mexico for a couple of years and know what great Mexican food is and I got it here as well. I actually had the best salsa I've ever had here. Our waitress and the manager were wonderful!! My FIL has had strokes and his speech is slower than normal. Our waitress was very patient with him and we so appreciated that!! The food was okay but the atmosphere is remarkable. I was beyond excited to find this place and only 4 minutes from my house. In invited two of my girlfriends to grab a quick bite and drinks tonight in the lounge area. When we bill came around the server dropped our three seperate bills to which we gave her our cards. I glanced at my ticket and it said 65 dollars and some odd change. .. now when she came back she rang my ticket in for 85 dollars giving herself a 20 dollar tip.. about 30% auto grat. She did the same for my friends. I said something to her to which she said she only did 18.. and walked away. We all work in hospitality and didnt want to make a deal of it so we signed. However, she must have been worried and sent another lady to send for our signed slips so she should leave. This is absolute theft and disgusting business practice. We used to go here a few years back and it was a really good little restaurant. We went back this week and it wasn't good at all. Hoping it was just a bad night but we started with the salsa and chips (bland salsa and stale chips). The entrees looked unappealing but we were hoping that the taste would be great. It wasn't. Worst Acapulco ever.... We just stumbled across this restaurant and were so excited. We are familiar with Acapulco in California and thought there would be consistency across the chain. Boy, were we wrong. Let's start with the chips and salsa. The chips were stale and the salsa had a funky taste to it, definitely not right and not worth taking the chance on. We asked for another bowl of chips but of course, they were the same, thus not eaten. My husband got the beef and bean burrito plate on the lunch special part of the menu. The plate was super hot but the burrito was barely luke warm. The beans were watery and the flavors were very bland. I got the shredded chicken tostada from the lunch special menu. Again, barely warm. The shredded chicken looked like it had been seasoned, but had no flavor. There was a lot of lettuce on the tostada but that may have added to the watered down flavor and overall texture. If there were beans in the tostada, I couldn't find them. We love Acapulco. From the outside it seems like a tiny hole in the wall, but it's pretty big inside. Good and cheap margaritas, especially during happy hour. Kids eat free on Thursdays. Has one of the worst hostesses at the register request a booth she gives you the tiniest booth and they tell you there's none available with no one sitting in any of them and gives you dirty looks all the way through your meal even when you're leaving the business, our group prefers to enjoy our meal without the luxe and with a big booth and we will somewhere else read more

Stopped by for lunch the other day and again enjoyed our meals. I had chicken taco and chicken enchilada with black beans. Beans are seasoned just right, like homemade and not just served from a can. Enchilada sauce seasoning was delicious. Like made from scratch with a hint of spices like mole would be made. Husb. had the burrito and almost ordered another to take home. This restaurant is in the same plaza as other poorly rated ones. While I have not been there in about a year, any experience I have had has been negative. It is nowhere near authentic and I have seen waiters and waitresses put the food on the floor and then serve it to the patrons. I wish I had something positive to say about it but it is on par with Taco Bell. Save your money and go to Publix, make your own tacos. read more
