Accord sent out a technician for a home warranty dishwasher repair who was young and inexperienced. The technician was nice enough, and I can't blame him for being inexperienced, but why did Accord send him out here without proper training? His first visit took him nearly an hour just to verify the model and broken part. Although the part was readily available locally, and although they got the part in a couple days, they wouldn't schedule the actual repair till 10 days later. The same inexperienced technician spent a couple hours attempting (but was unable) to get the dishwasher out from the cabinets. I asked him if he raised the back leveling legs (which he hadn't as it turned out, and that is what prevented it from coming out), but he had already reconnected everything under the sink and said he was done. (as it turned out later, he had not properly reconnected everything, and we would have had a flood if we had attempted to use the dishwasher) Instead of then sending out someone who knew what they were doing, Accord firmly stated that it was my responsibility to get the dishwasher out of the cabinet, and that they would schedule the repair once I sent them picture proof of the dishwasher exposed - presumably leaving me with the exposed dishwasher blocking up my kitchen for another 10 days. So, I called another appliance repair guy who was able to arrive with the part in hand, pull out the dishwasher effortlessly (with the back leveling legs retracted), and completed the entire job in about an hour. I strongly advise AGAINST using Accord - perhaps they are warranty scam artists as other reviews have alleged. read more

The WORST appliance repair service company I know. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE contact these people. American Home Shield assigned them to repair my dishwasher in Palm Desert. And all they did was continually NOT SHOW UP 3 times in a row. And then lie again and again saying "oh this time we'll be there". 1st visit was fine. They determined that the ice maker was broken and they ordered another part. When that arrived, we set up a new appointment to install the part. And that's where the problem started. They missed THREE separate appointments in a row.. Each time, they never called to say they weren't coming. Nor could their rude dispatcher even explain what happened. No call, no explanation and no apology. Three times in a row they just never showed up. My tenant sat there waiting all day three separate times. For every appointment, I called their dispatcher to insure that this time they'd really be there. Each time this horrible dispatcher said "yes" and that she'd call me back with a more precise time. But each time, she never called back. And they never showed up. When I called her back after each missed appointment, she simply said "I don't know what happened" and offered to reschedule for another day. When I finally got angry after three missed appointments in a row, this terrible dispatcher simply HUNG UP ON ME when I started to complain. And when I called American Home Shield to complain about this rude, unprofessional behavior and continuous "no shows", they tried to set up a conference call to resolve the situation but ACCORD REFUSED. So three weeks later and three separate missed appointments in a row, I've still got a broken refrigerator. With a company that won't even call me back. With no resolution, no apology and no explanation. Rudest, most unprofessional company I've ever met. They set appointments and never show. Hang up if you dare complain. And lie over and over again that "the next time will be different." Never been treated like this before (nor ever complained like this before online). But this company is the WORST. They were contracted through American Home Shield (AHS) to repair our washing machine. The technician showed up on time, looked at the machine for less than 5 minutes and did not place his hand inside the machine. The tech said he needed to order some parts and would return when they showed up. After a few days and not hearing anything, we reached out to AHS to find out the tech told AHS that the machine was broken due to coins being stuck inside the machine. This led to AHS closing the case purely based on the techs notes. The $100 we spent on the service call was not worth it. It really seems like the guy was trying to tell our insurance company something knowing they wouldn't cover it in hopes of us getting desperate enough to pay them out of pocket. We ultimately got AHS to authorize a second opinion which deemed the repairs eligible, but not worthy due to the age of the machine. Do not do business with this company at all!! read more

Worked with this company thru my ahs insurance and they are the WORST! The first time someone came it was two young guys looked younger than 18 & they were telling me nothing was wrong when both my oven and microwave was producing a burning smell. They then told me that they would have to come back out with something to help them remove the oven. I called again to make an appointment & they said they would have their "senior" technician come out who ended up being someone about only 2 years older and just as useless. I had them come out a total of four times for each time my case to be closed. I got so fed up and called ahs to see if they worked with another company and luckily they did and those guys came over the first time and fixed the problem on their first try. These people were assigned by AHS to service our washer. If you can get them on the phone they are rude and not helpful. Our washer is 11 years old. It needs a new tub bearing apparently. The tech told the warranty company it's because we overloaded the machine, so they won't cover the repair. We overloaded the machine? After 11 years. Starting in July 2022, the freezer wasn't keeping below 18 degrees. American Home Shield sent out Accord Appliance. He supposedly repaired something. When the freezer was still under-functioning, I opened the claim again October 25, 2022. Since then, they have come out on November, 1 and 15; December 7 and 19; January 4 and 24, inspecting things and changing parts. When he left on the Jan 24th, the refrigerator AND freezer were not cold at all. They came out Feb 2, and no-showed on Feb 16. Then Feb 23 and ordered a part. We have had NO refrigerator or freezer since January 24 and this is February 24. All factual. The service people have been courteous...but I'm not impressed. I wish I had read the review BEFORE having them selected by the home warranty to come fix my dishwasher. They are unresponsive and extremely difficult to reach them. When you do speak to someone they have no answers for you. After 5 weeks, I ended up getting a new company assigned by the Home warranty company and end up getting a new dishwasher. Terrible terrible customer service on the phone and repair service for dryer. A tech has already unsuccessfully tried to repair my dryer twice and when I called same day (each time) that it was still rattling, we had to wait a week in between each appointments for them to send same technician again. Now going on week 3+, dryer still rattling. When I asked if I could have a closer appointment and speak to someone else, since today was a no show and if the had a sooner appointment, the accord appliance agent hung up on me. My over-the-range microwave has stopped heating, so I contacted American Home Shield to have it serviced. Accord Appliance gave me a service window of 3/18/24 between 1-5 pm, but Jonathan, the technician, arrived at 6 pm. During the inspection, he took off the hood and unscrewed parts to assess the issue. He found a clogged filter inside, which was causing an electrical problem. He asked me if I fry a lot of food, to which I responded that I had only been living in my home for three years (built in 2008) and pointed to my air fryer. After telling me he sees this issue more commonly in homes of "black" people, he put my microwave back together and said that parts needed to be ordered, which would take about a week. On 3/21/24, I received a notification from AHS requesting a rating for my closed order. Confused, I contacted AHS and was informed that the order was closed because the service technician had determined that the issue with my microwave was not normal "wear and tear", meaning that I would have to pay Accord Appliance out of pocket for the repair. I contacted Accord Appliance to discuss their findings, but Mioa told me that there was nothing to be done since Jonathan had submitted the paperwork. I tried to argue that typical homeowners don't unscrew parts of their appliances to clean them and that I regularly clean and replace the vents/filters underneath. However, Mioa hung up on me after telling me that the supervisors were all busy and that there was no other number I could call. Company set an appt and a second tech came to say nothing was ordered and that the first guy didn't know what he was doing. He told me accord barely trained him and sent him on calls. Please believe all the reviews. I'm sure most people would rate this Accord Appliance ZERO stars if possible. They changed and charged for ice maker issue, but that was not the issue. The issue was, and still is, a water leak inside the refrigerator that does not bring water up to the ice maker or the water dispenser. Even though they claimed the ice maker was the issue, they installed a new one, and it still has not produced one cube of ice in 2 days. Please refer to BBB for additional issues. They should have their license revoked... if they even have a license. These people are not competent. It should have been obvious to me since they always arrived in a small red compact car without supplies or tools, or support. I purchased a new house and my broker had the seller pay for home warranty insurance. Newer KitchenAid fridge and microwave had electrical problems. They were on the same claim. In case you don't know, Accord Appliance does not have their own employees, they subcontract the jobs out to independent appliance repair people. So Accord has no control and management of these independent people who go out and fix your appliance. This 1 star review is not at all about the technician named Orlando, who went to my house to do the repairs. He did a good job, and I am thinking of hiring him again, which he offers himself outside Accord Appliance, he works even in Phoenix AZ, so I told him I want to keep in touch, because I do have appliance problems in AZ. I can say I experienced the same things that the 1 star reviews are saying, about waiting an hour on hold, for someone to come to the phone. I sometimes get disconnected and have to get in line again and again. I have left messages on the prompt, for someone to call me back, but I learned that does not work, because no one ever calls back or responds to emails I sent. Then when you get a live voice, she only knows what is in front of her face on the computer. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. When I tell her about my bad experiences, she says "I am only a dispatcher, I only set the appointments". It took 4 months to get my microwave repaired. Accord Appliance did send someone out soon enough, but tech had to order a new part. No one told me the part came in mid Aug. It wasn't till Oct that the delay was because Accord said "we are waiting for approval from Old Republic Insurance". I told her you already have approval, otherwise the part would not have ordered. She could not come up with a retort to that, so she set the appointment for tech to go to my house, cos the part came in months ago. I did not hear back about whether it was fixed, so I had to call and wait 1 hour to find out what happened. Dispatcher said notes said "Did not fix", but not why. Doesn't even say if he even went to the house. That is so infuriating. Dispatcher only knows what the notes say. Well, so I call the tech Orlando, and when the tech went to pick up the part, he said it was broken. He told me he will pick up another one "tomorrow". House is vacant, and I gave the tech the lock box code and said just go when you can go. But weeks went by again,, and I don't know what happened, but microwave was still defective. I have to call Accord again and again to find out what happens, no one does any initiating until you call to complain why things are taking so long. I complained about the time you have to wait on hold, she said "We only have 3 people to answer 500 phone calls and emails at once". That is a management issue. I told the employees to look up their company on Yelp and see they only have 1 star. Maybe if they read all people's complaints, they can work on giving better service. It is a management issue. So I MADE a formal complaint with Old Republic, to stop usinhg Accord Appliance, because so many of the reviews make Old Republic the bad guy, when it is Accord Appliance who is giving the bad service. I told Old Republic that Accord's horrid service gives Old Republic a horrid reputation. 4 months to fix my microwave is ridiculous, but if you read the reviews of Accord Appliance, 4 months is "typical". Later, when I told my tech my frustrations with Accord, he told me that it is against State law for appliance repair companies to have their own repairmen on salary. They have to hire licensed contractors outside their company. Does anyone know if that is true? Well finally, I got my microwave fixed. But if the techs are not Accord employees, Accord cannot fire them for not showing up 4 times. This guy was lazy and it appeared he had no intention of repairing washing machine. He didn't have a lot of knowledge on repairing a washing machine. Chris stated machine could not be repaired. Stated he will call his boss and tell him not repairable and that home warranty company will be in contact with me. This place is a scam company. DO NOT use this company. Horrible service!! If I could give no stars ...I would. If you have American Home Shield be warned, Action appliance is the company they will send out to repair your appliances. I submitted my claim to fix my washer on Aug 25 2024 and it is now Sep 21 2024 and it is still not fixed. Accord appliance came out on Aug 30 to diagnose. My washer was not spinning the clothes and then got stuck in what sounded like it was draining and wouldn't stop. (***Note: they come out to diagnose the first day and then schedule to repair on another day... Everytime!!!!! This requires me to take off work because when I ask for late appointments, the receptionist always says that she can schedule 12-6 but most likely they would arrive by 2). Viktor came out and the first impression was he couldn't be bothered. He never called prior to arriving which I was told he would. I answered the door and he told me he was from action appliance never looking up from his phone. I explained the problem and I could tell he didn't understand me until I said there was a code that popped up. He told me he ordered parts. I asked if this would fix the first problem that contributed to the second problem. He told me he didn't understand me and his English wasn't very good. He came back Aug 30 to repair. The draining stopped but washer still didn't spin out clothes. Another request was submitted, I took work off 9/6 and Accord appliance called 30 mins prior to the end of my 9-12 service window telling me they couldn't come out. Frustrating!!!!! Accord appliance came out 9/9 to diagnose..... again. I had requested American home shield to send a different tech since the last one told me he didn't understand me. NOPE ....same gem (Viktor) showed up at my house. I Showed him videos of the problem and he didn't seem to care. He shrugged his shoulders and said he thought it was the clutch and ordered the parts. He came back 9/20, was here for 10 mins and it is still not fixed. I have taken 5 days off of work for my washer and it is still not fixed. DO NOT EVER USE ACCORD APPLIANCE!!!! Terrible company. Home Warranty send them and Mark did worked hard for almost an hour to fix our microwave. He said that he need some parts to fix it. So I waited and called the American Homeshield and they went chicken and egg who supposed to give me the diagnosis . When I finally got ahold of someone at the warranty, they gave a reason that failed to register in my common sense. They claimed that my microwave is functioning so they can't cover it because it's contaminated with grease and it's fire hazard . Why would I even bother to call them to fix it if I can just clean it. The only reason I called home warranty is because the Microwave keeps heating up when the door is close so it's a fire hazard. The Absolute Worst! The technician was supposed to be here from 12-6 he was 1.5 hr early and no one was home, I called back same day and asked to get him out here but they said he was all booked, fine! I reschedule for the following day, same time 12-6. Their customer service calls me around 4pm to tell me that I had missed my appointment once again and need to reschedule, I told him that I've been home all day and no one has showed up, they insisted they did I told him no!! This is the worse company I have ever worked with. They were contracted out by my home warranty company AHS back in October of 2021 to repair my refrigerator and here it is April 2022 and the refrigerator still hasn't been repaired. They have sent 3 different technicians out with no resolution and my home warranty is refusing to have another company come out to repair. Just as everyone here has mentioned... Accord is not a good company. If you have another choice, go with them. I had one of Accord's techs come to my home to check an appliance. He informed me that the appliance needed to be repaired and he had to order a part. I had to call my warranty company and Accord every other day because nothing was being done. After more than a month... Accord finally informed my warranty company that a part needed to be ordered. Weeks later after more calls an appointment was finally made for the repair. The new tech comes (it was not the same person) and off the bat... starts bashing the previous tech stating he didn't do a good job. After 15-20 minutes he tells me the part they ordered was incorrect. He says another internal part has issues and he is going to recommended the appliance be replaced. The f'ed up part is he told his supervisor something totally different. Stating we purposely damaged the appliance. Multiple parts broken. Which is total BS. The appliance has VERY minor wear and tear. Nothing broken. I don't understand what the purpose of lying was. Stay far away from Accord. Terrible customer service. Terrible communication. Waited nearly a week for appointment. Service technician here for about twenty minutes and unit was not at all repaired. I called warranty company and was told case was closed out. I was on the phone including hold time about 45 minutes and that does not include previous calls for appointment. Extremely disappointed and I payed money for 9 years to home warranty. Many reviews here are unfortunately perfectly aligned with the experience I've had. They are scammers. I got them as a dispatch request through my home warranty. Not only I was stranded to the house for 6 hours twice for two scheduled appts and twice they never showed up, they had the audacity to lie to the home warranty company and tell them they were here and installed a part. They don't answer their phones. They work for American Home Shield which pretty much tells all their contractors to tell the customers their appliances can be repaired and they keep trying to repair them instead of replacing them beyond their working life. Very frustrating. So after 2 months of dealing with them our refrigerator is still not working properly. Freezes all the food and we can't adjust the refrigerator temperature. read more
