They were assigned to me by my new home warranty American Home Shield. My refrigerator wasn't working. 10/30/23 service man came. Needed new hose for ice maker. Service man did not have tools or part on him. Rescheduled to come the following week (Tuesday) NO SHOW. NO PHONE CALL. Called the office. VOICEMAIL. Called Home warranty company American Home Shield. They called Accord Appliances and I called again. Rescheduled for following Tuesday. NO SHOW NO PHONE CALL. Receptionist had very bad attitude. My home warranty company called me approx a week later telling me that my repair was not going to be covered, they said that Accord App said that insects had eaten the wire on the lid switch. We called Accord appliance and all the man did was argue! I think the part is under 20.00! Perhaps not a big enough job for them to bother with!!! I've never heard of such a thing as I don't think insects eat through wire. It's an older unit and just wore out!! If you have an American Home Shield (AHS) warranty and receive notification that Accord Appliance will be assigned as your contractor, demand the warranty company assign someone else. Accord Appliance telephone wait times are horrific, based on my own experience. In addition, they might send a text message with an appointment time and ask you to respond if there is an issue. The only real issue is they do not respond to their solicited text message. Unreal. My dealings with this company began in April 2019 for a refrigerator repair at a vacation property, so my representative was present during the "repair." I am not sure if any real troubleshooting occurred, beyond cleaning the coils. Thus, my $75 trade fee was for dusting off the coils. When Accord Appliance told me what type of "repair" was made, I was concerned. On my next visit to the property, I discovered the refrigerator was not working with the exact same symptoms. I called to schedule a return visit through AHS on a Friday. I received a response from Accord Appliance on Monday via text indicating the return appointment was scheduled for the following Monday; yes 8 days later. This is completely unacceptable and outside AHS terms. I responded to the text message requesting an earlier appointment, and no one responded. I declined to actually call them because as indicated, the hold times are excessive. Here is my personal tip that I did not follow this time around: once your home warranty assigns a company to your service request, conduct research on the company. This might help you determine how inconvenienced you might become and give you an opportunity to request another company. Accord Appliances will not be returning to my property. read more

How can I select a rating that is less than zero? American Home Shield, my home warranty company has sent these guys out to fix my dishwasher and separately to fix my washing machine. Nice technicians, but incompetent in both cases. The dishwasher problem was misdiagnosed, resulting in additional expense and a delay of almost two months in getting it repaired by another company. The technician they sent to fix the washing machine "fixed" a disconnected water hose underneath the machine. It worked for three weeks then flooded my garage again. Rarely have I had problems with installers on different issues the problem with a Accord appliance was they tried to use an old part instead of the new part glue it on and then left and thought that we were stupid enough to think that was okay. We had to take pictures send them to the home warranty company and tell them that a Accord was not allowed back in our home I would not recommend them at all. My appliance warranty company assigned Accord Appliances to assist me with a leaking fridge, claimed they would contact me within 24 hrs to schedule a repair. After 3 days of not hearing from them I called them only to be told they couldn't come out for another 8 days. On the day of service the technician arrived with no mask or boot covering. He spent 10 mins. replacing a valve and scratched my floor in the process. Said "call back if it continues to leak" then handed my spouse a blank work order to sign. Accord Appliance is a contractor for American Home Shield. This company is absolutely horrible. First, when you call it's an automatic 5 to 10 minute wait before you speak to an actual human being. Second, they gave a 4 hour window for consultation and were late for that. The technician they sent spent approximately 15 minutes at my home. He never looked at the dishwasher motor which was my complaint. He then addressed half of the issues with my microwave. Ordering a panel after taking pictures of burn damage in the INSIDE of the microwave from the supplied rack. It has been 3 weeks, they don't return calls or respond to emails from American Home Shield and I'm still waiting since March 18th. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. American Home Shield sent this company to diagnose and repair my GE washer that I have had since 2009. My GE washer was smoking and I looked it up prior to the tech coming over and it was most likely due to bad bearings. Tech came and diagnosed it with bad bearings as expected but also added in that we caused it due to overloading the washer which I never do otherwise it wouldn't have lasted over a decade. Unfortunately I have to give one star because you can't give zero. We had Roman out for a repair on a dryer. Accord was sent by American Home Shield. Call was made on 2/14. Dryer was having a moisture sensor issue but still worked on time mode. Tech Roman came out and quickly said he needed to order a part. A MONTH later he got the part. So he comes back and "fixes" the dryer. When he left the sensor still didn't work and the dryer wouldn't even tumble. It was totally broken. Called Roman and he angrily told us he never seen anything like this. Said he would submit a report to American Home shield to replace and we needed to file an insurance claim. He then said he was busy and hung up. Rude. Spent the next 2 weeks with no dryer. No report from accord, and the run around from American home shield. The call center was in India and understanding the service call takers is impossible. We were given the run around over and over telling us they were waiting on THEIR provider, Accord, to submit a report. Accord was even not answering American Home Shields calls. What the heck. Now we sit in limbo for another weekend line drying clothes in the winter with no resolve or clue what to do. Save the time and skip AHS and accord. We will NEVER allow them back in our house. He was here for like 10 mins and said that he found hair clip in the pump ( that he took off the floor mind you because I looked at my cameras) and that's what was wrong with it so i would have to pay out of pocket since it was my fault. Like many of the reviews here, American Home Shield (AHS) sent these people to my home to repair an ice maker. The water filter was stuck and just needed to be dislodged so the filter could be replaced. Visit #1 - The technician arrived with no identification in his private vehicle rather than a company truck which immediately seemed strange. The technician, Ivan, was a very nice young man who took care to clean up after himself and was just a likeable person. That said, he told me that the ice maker had to be replaced and the parts had been ordered. OK. Visit #2 - He supposedly installed the new ice maker. A week later (I gave it time) I still had no ice. Once I could actually make it through their phone system without getting disconnected, I made a follow up appointment. Their phone system will pick up, place you on hold and then after a minute disconnect you. Or if you are lucky a rather cranky woman whose English is clearly a second language gives you an appointment and then abruptly hangs up. Very professional!! Visit #3 - When Ivan arrived there was maybe 10-12 ice cubes in the bin so he said "it is working" and off he went. A few days later I tried to dispense ice cubes from my freezer door and it made a screeching groan. I opened the ice maker door inside the freezer and it was a glacier. It was obviously leaking - a lot. I called AHS and told them about the problems and told them I didn't want anything else to do with Accord Appliance. They told me I had no choice. Yeah, they'll be cancelled soon. They promised me that they had contacted the business and told them to send a senior technician to be sure it was fixed correctly. Visit #4 - guess who showed up?? Ivan. He was here maybe 20-30 minutes and then said he was finished but he had to replace the whole ice maker. I said I thought that was already done in Visit #2 and he told me it wasn't. I have the paperwork he gave me showing me that AHS approved payment for a replacement after Visit #1. I said nothing to him but I most certainly called AHS and complained. They were going to send them back out. That is when I lost my patience and told them to just refund my co-pay and I'd take care of it myself. Four visits and a little insurance fraud later and I still don't have a working ice maker and all it needed was to remove a stuck water filter!!!!! Accord Appliance are scam artists that should not only be closed down but should be jailed for insurance fraud. If your home warranty company tells you that they are sending Accord Appliance to your home do yourself a favor and just tell them to cancel the request and your warranty and use the savings to just replace the appliance. Even if it just needs a new water filter. It'll be easier in the long run! read more

I called last week to schedule an appointment to fix my brand new never used dishwasher and they sent me an email from their dispatched repair service of Accord Appliance with a time frame of 8am to 5pm. I was told they would reach out to me to give a specific time frame. Never happened. Today is my appointment date, and still no call. I called their company 7times to try and get a hold of someone to obtain a more specific time frame. Each call lasted about 15-20 min and no one answered. Each time the call dropped/disconnected, or someone hung up. I called GE back to see what's going on and they said they can have a GE repair technician come out but I'd have to wait yet another week. This company was called out by our home warrenty, which we had to prepay the copay, for the washer machine. Person came in an unmarked vehicle, no name tag and nothing on his shirt. We had to supply a bucket and towels for him to do his work. He switched the hot and cold water lines without us noticing until he was gone. He changed a part and left a huge mess on the floor. He kept asking us questions about the dryer, which he was not called out for. His repair lasted only 1 week. We then had to call out our own appliance repair company and spend more money. I'm nervous about my job reading all the comments. My insurance also sent these folks. When they came they barely looked at the refrigerator said they need to order a ice maker. When the ice male came it was newer than my frig so the ice drawer did not fit well and the shelf that when on top didn't even fit. In order to get ice I have to pull the drawer out and when put it back in have to reach in the back so pull the ice machine over the drawer. The then tells he doesn't know if it's covered. I called the insurance company and explained the situation they are suppose to come back out in a couple of weeks. I'm not happy yet but I'm optimistic that things will Be resolved. I'll keep ya posted. But what I noticed is that the company could careless about theses reviews as they probably get most of their business from the referral of the insurance company. WOW!! I really understand why this company has a 1 star rating with over 600 reviews! Basically the only client they can get is Home Insurance, so you thing that you don't get a choice. He did not look at anything inside my machine, and said...."this machine is irreparable" end of conversation. - Seriously. The service manager was useless and in compassionate, he did nothing to correct the problem. I would give zero stars if I could! This company has been playing games since November 2, 2021. They can't make up their minds on if the washer can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced. It took 9 days for them to get the report to First American. They sent two techs out and the techs said it had to be replaced, but the report says they are ordering a transmission. This company doesn't like to answer phones, they did not call to schedule when the first part came in, I had to call them. The tech was supposed to call, but instead he sent me a text. When First American called and spoke to Lily, she said that I never received a text! They left black fingerprints all over my walls (from leaning), as well as on the appliances. My home warranty company contacted Accord Appliance in Temecula to schedule a repair visit for my Dishwasher that had a leak under the dishwasher. Accord came out an identified the part under dishwasher that was supposedly the cause of the water leaking during operation of the dishwasher. We waited 1 month for the part to arrive. Finally part arrived and Accord Appliance sent a service guy Raj to my house today March 26th and installed the new part. Raj never turned on the dishwasher to see if leak was fixed and rushed out the door before we could test it. We ran the dishwasher and leaked from same area and part that was replaced. We called Accord Appliance and they told us they cannot send out another technician and they cannot help us anymore. accord told us to call our Home Warranty company but our Home Warranty company told us that Accord has to fix the problem correctly! The worst Customer service and very rude to us during our call and Accord appliance is the worst repair company we have ever used and we highly recommend that anyone should not use this company for any future appliance repairs. read more

Armando came to my home to repair my dishwasher on 10/3. We had a detailed discussion on what was wrong with the dishwasher. Not once in his explanation did he say that misuse was the cause of the problem. If that had been the case I would of course want a how explanation, I am an intelligent reasonable person. He left with the machine working and said he would order a pump. He also said he would be the person who would return to replace the pump. The diagnosis he submitted stated that there was misuse. I shared with him I had years ago had unpleasant experiences with Accord services could this be the reason the diagnosis is completely different than what he discussed with me ? As a result of his what I considered contradicting statements my insurance is not covering the pump replacement which after years of service is probably needed because of normal use. It took months to finally get this case closed. It turn out it was a short at the back of the machine. All the months of waiting for motherboards and control panels were unnecessary. When they left after finally figured out the problem, they left the dishwasher loosely secured to my cabinets that caused the machine it to begin falling forward when shelves were pulled out to remove dishes. They did not replace the hardware correctly which cause the forward tipping and the didn't leave all the hardware parts it was installed with, so I had to go out and get washers, nuts, and bolts to secure the dishwasher. Simple solution to fix but they didn't do it. I had to go out and find the parts to secure the dishwasher to the cabinets. If I called for them to do it it would probably cost me two or three weeks if they even came out. Terrible experience as always with Accord. read more

Mid October of 2022 I contacted American Home Shield ( I will be reviewing their A**CLOWN company next) to have my dishwasher repaired. The technician came out on 11/2/2022 and diagnosed a burnt out motor. He said that he would have one ordered and it would take a week to receive. Upon not hearing any updates for almost 2 weeks, I contacted above mentioned A**Clown Home Shield and was told that the repair had been completed and the the transaction had been closed. After explaining that nothing had happened, they reopened the work order. They said that the company would contact me within 24 hours to schedule an appointment. I chose to call them instead of waiting and was informed that they would be out on 11/21/22 between 8AM - 12PM. The tech never appeared. I called Accord Appliance and was told by the operator that the appointment was for 11/23/22 for which I informed the that was not true. She quickly stated that they would be at my home on 11/23 and hung up. Well, here we are and again no service technician. Again I call the and she puts me on hold to "call the technician". I was then informed that the technician cannot be reached and that I would receive a text message for update. I just know that the text is coming any moment! I can't wait. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting with anticipation for Santa Clause to come down the chimney! I called A**CLOWN Home Shield again only to be told to hold as they contact the technician. I was then told that they are still waiting on the part that I'm sure was never ordered. Now with all this said, I must find something redeeming for this company... did say have a nice day before hanging up on me as I was asking a question. The day of, we called them around 10am to confirm and was told we were scheduled between 12-5p. At 4:50p we called again and was advised that they'd be here by 6pm. THEY NO SHOWED, not even a call from the tech to say he couldn't make it; not even a call from the company the next day to apologize and try to reschedule. This is unacceptable.
