Ross and friend came today to fix my ice maker. Called ahead to tell me they were on their way, arrived as scheduled. They were very professional and courteous, and respectful of my home, which may not seem like a big deal, but when you see or experience good manners, you sticks with you. They fixed the issue, with no "upsell" or unnecessary part(s) replacement, etc., and refused to accept my paltry cash offering "tip". I really don't like posting negative comments. If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. But after my negative experience with Accord Appliance I hope they will have better communication in place with their customers and hire more people that are reliable in addition to following through with customers that have been referred to Accord Appliance from a home warranty company. My experience begin when I called my home warranty company regarding issues with my ice maker. The hm warranty put me in touch with Accord Appliance. They called me later that day to set up an appointment. They came to my house the following day to see my issue. The technician told me they have to order a part and once they get it they will call me to set up an appointment. This took nearly two weeks. I left messages to follow up and they only communicate via text. I finally got a text message to confirm a date to come out and get work done. I confirmed through text and planned accordingly. The day of the visit I was home all day. I informed them to be sure to call me when they arrive because I have a gated home. Once the window came I called to check their ETA and They informed me that the tech came And left because no one was home. I told them I was home all day and never received a call or text? They told me sorry, you'll need to make another appt. As irritated as I was about this I scheduled a second appointment . Again waited all day. I called 30 min before the time I was given that tech would be here and I was following up on their ETA. I kept getting voice mail and I finally got a hold of someone and they told me the tech said no one was home. I told them this is ridiculous, this is the second time this has happened and the same excuse, she then told me hold please. Then a few min later told me sorry the tech said he did not have your part available. I asked the scheduler I don't want to be rude but do you hear how ridiculous that answer is? You guys scheduled this appointment with me, you informed me that you had my part, so why did you waste my day again if that was the case? Her response, yes it doesn't make sense I'm sorry I will talk with my manager. In the meantime I can schedule you a third time. Third times a charm, I'm afraid NOT! I was held hostage from my home warranty to go with Accord appliance since they already had a contract with them to fix my ice maker and they had my part. Even my home warranty tried to intervene on my behalf to assure me Accord appliance will get my ice maker fixed. They also had a hard time getting a hold of anybody and did not get a response. But scheduled my 3rd appt. Once again waited for them to come out. The time came and went. I called to see where the tech was and I was told AGAIN that the tech couldn't come out because he didn't have the part with him. I am not making this stuff up, I have text communication from Accord Appliance with confirmed appointments and then 1 tech that did replied via text about not coming. I sent all info to my Home Warranty company as proof. If you didn't like the terms you worked out with the home warranty company, please make sure not to work with them since it hurts your business and your customers. TEXT messages to schedule appointments is ok but never ok to be the only form of communication to your customers and please don't schedule appointments with customers and not have your technician prepared with everything they need to get the job done. Return all your customers calls within the next business day by phone. These are simple business practices to stay in business. Ultimately my home warranty had to schedule ANOTHER COMPANY TO DO THE WORK AND YES, I finally have ice after 6 months of back n forth. Being a home designer and working with many contractors this by far is the worst I have experienced with scheduling appointments and actually Getting work done. Good luck! read more

Our dishwasher went out this past weekend and a GE technician came out and worked on it yesterday (we have extended warranty). He found the issue was due to the faulty repair that Accord did in February 2017. Power wires for the heating element were spliced and attached to a device used for powering microwaves and the wiring was left loose under the dishwasher. The GE technician couldn't believe the repair was done like this and documented it. I was told that myself and my family were put at risk because of this repair and that I'm lucky no one got electrocuted and that my house didn't burn down. I can't believe this companies rating and that extended warranties/ insurance companies use them to work on people's appliances. The work they did was unacceptable and could have hurt or killed myself, family, or others. I called the company yesterday to report this so they could at least look into the technician that did the faulty repair and they asked me to email them and send the photos. Still haven't heard from anyone. If you want yourself and your family to be safe don't let this company work on your appliances. read more

First of all, they took over a month to get the part to fix my refrigerator. The office was very unprofessional when trying to set up an appointment. Was not flexible at all and did not try to work around my schedule to have someone come out. I had to take two days off of work just to sit around and wait for them to call me and say they got the wrong part. When they finally got the right part and came to fix it, I had already ordered a part off of Amazon to temporarily keep my refrigerator running. The technician used my part and said the fridge is fixed. My ice maker went bad and had to file an insurance claim. The insurance provider hired Accord Appliance (Temecula CA) to make the repairs. Tech came out one week later to tell me that the water valve went bad. One week later, I had to call Accord Appliance and ask them for the status of my repair. The tech indicated in his notes that my water supply line did not meet building codes. My house was built in 2000. Come on. The guy is an appliance repair tech, not a building inspector. One additional week and still no repair. Playing phone tag with American Home Shield and Accord Appliance. One company says the work order has not been approved, the other says it has been and the work order has been processed. No one wants to step up for some customer service.. This has been going on for 2 months, placed a claim thru Home Warranty and Accord came out and said they needed to order a belt for dryer. Never heard from them. Called and they have no record, but I have an invoice the tech left us!! Called home warranty 2nd time and same technician came out and said oh your home warranty company dropped the ball. He took video of the problem and said we would be here back with in 5 days to schedule appt to install equipment. Fast forward 2 weeks and called, the lady said it does not need to be repaired, the noise is okay. I am done with their lying!!! Accord appliance was sent by American Home Shield. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. My refrigerator is leaking, the guy took out the ice maker, put it back in and said call us back if it's still leaking. Of course, it was so I called AHS and they sent them back. The same kid came out, stuck his head in the freezer and said, "you need a new refrigerator, this one is old and can't be repaired". He said he needed to go send a diagnosis to AHS, two weeks later, refrigerator still leaking, and no diagnosis sent. You cannot get ahold of anyone other than dispatchers, who cannot connect you to anyone who can help you at all. They will not return email or voice mail. This is the worsth company I ever deal with. They are unprofesional, they are scamer, they misdiagnosis the repair of my vicking counter stove month ago. I call my home warranty for another issue with my dishwasher and the ignition not working properly. They called the following day to make an appointment from 12 to 6pm on a Monday, but the techician never came. They always send their report to the warranty company as that failure to your product was due to not normal wear and tear or due negligees and miss use when the job cost them too much and they know they will not get their full reimbursement from the warranty company . Worst experience ever, won't come to work on washing machine giving me the runaround saying he's going to come early in the morning then at 1 pm then now saying it's going to be 3 pm and finally saying they aren't going to come because it's "too cold". As a customer of American Home Shield, they continue to appoint Accord Appliance for us to use them on all of our home Appliance needs. I am at my wits end with Accord Appliance for a number of reasons. My suggestion to anyone looking to use them is DO NOT!! We asked to have them removed from our vendor last seven years ago, it seems that they have a exclusive Monopoly with American Home Shield as they keep getting appointed. It is true that Accord Appliance is not BBB accredited, the wait times for them to answer the phone, if they answer the phone, is generally over 20 minutes. We have had to notify Jerry the manager that we would no longer have one of his representatives come to our home after he left my front door open several times after telling him I had animals. It came to a flareup of his anger and poor behavior with one of their witness representatives looking on. I have to say that the manager Jerry did call me and listen to my complaint. However, I called this week for a dryer that although new, needs repairs. On Monday I placed my order with American Home Shield, they assigned me to Accord Appliance, I heard nothing as far as an appointment, decided to call them on Tuesday, with no answer. I waited on hold over 18 minutes per call. After calling American Home Shield back regarding this, they were told by Accord that I had canceled the work order, they said they had tried to call me all day on Monday to no avail, which was a lie. And then said they sent out a worker at 12 o'clock yesterday on a Tuesday, with no appointment. That doesn't even seem logical for any company. Again another lie. I have never been so mistreated in my life. In April our Refrigerator stopped working Our home warranty company called on Accord Appliances to repair. Several times people came to inspect the fridge. Finally parts were ordered and it took over a month to get parts. repairs were made and the fridge was running but not getting cold enough. people were sent out several more time but the problem was never repaired. we have gone ALL SUMMER without a fridge in Southern California. and believe me Accord Appliance does not care.
