I called in for refrigerator repair at 8:30 on Saturday morning and they scheduled me for the next Wednesday from 12-2. I called on Wednesday at 1:57 pm and after holding 10 minutes I was told the window was from 12-6pm and I was on the appt for that day. I waited until 6:23 pm and contacted American Home Shield to tell them that Accord Appliance never showed up or called. I called Accord Appliance at 8:00 am on Thursday morning and they said they could reschedule in another 4 days, even though it was their error. I canceled the call and my contract with American Home Shield. In addition, Accord Appliance's website didn't work and wouldn't accept my info and every e-mail message I sent was returned. I have given Accord Appliance as a whole 1 star because they are completely incompetent, non communicative, flip floppers and overall awful to work with. They have been sent out by our home warranty company 3x in the last year. 2 of 3 of the techs were in my laundry room for less than 2 minutes assessing the dryer. Both of them wrote a report they left with me stating we needed a new control panel...only to find out the report they left me and they report they sent my warranty company were 2 different things and they cancelled my work orders without the dryer being fixed. HOWEVER- the 3rd tech who came out was great and said that you can request techs within Accord Appliance because they are all independent contractors who work on call for Accord....his name is RAJ. Request him. Get the names of your Accord Appliance Technicians so they can be reported. Both my lousy techs have a chicken scratch signature, so I can't report them. Was forced to use Accord Appliance through my home warranty to repair our oven and dishwasher. The first guy said our dishwasher needed a new part and that he would be able to fix the oven when he came back. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the second guy, Jorge, was great. He fixed the oven and dishwasher (without using the new part), and said it could have been repaired the first time around. Wish we would have gotten him originally so we didn't have to go 2 weeks without an oven or dishwasher. Also, it took over 30 minutes on hold to even talk to someone there several times. This plumber acted very, very, very strange each time, which seems not normal to me. I am educated on certain behaviors. Each visit the plumber wanted to use our bathroom. The technician shows up for the appointment on time in a car not a repair technician type vehicle. Looks at refrigerator took temperature and in a minute says it needs a compressor. States they will be in contact when parts arrive to schedule repair. 1 week went by and no updates. I called to find out and Holly says repair guy will be out Monday the 30th of September and the repair will take 4 hours. On September 30th another repair guy shows up on time and completes repair in 1 1/2 hrs. When he left it still did not cool enough. We waited 2 days maybe needed time. Still refrigerator is not cooling enough. Again called Accord Appliance and Holly says he can com out again on October 7. There was confusion but they actually came out on Sep 8th. Technician states the gas refrigerant leaked out. The tech states Holly will call for appointment. Holly Calls me on October 9 and says the tech will come out on October 18th... I called her back and asked "why am I at the back of the line on your technicians mistake" . She says " He cannot come out before Oct 18. I did loose my mind on this. Only to get a call right away, scheduled for a service tech the following day, who showed up early within the time window, and had our issue fixed in under an hour... not to mention who was super friendly. Once a service person was supposed to come out he said he couldn't drive my dirt road and they wanted to schedule me out again. The "WORST" service repair company I have ever encountered. Accord has been assigned by a home warranty company to repair two of my appliances. The first appliance was my clothes dryer. The Accord tech installed the wrong part, which caused the dryer to stop working again. I went on-line and watched a video, ordered the part indicated, and repaired the dryer myself. Still running great 2-years later. Second appliance is my dishwasher. The home warranty company "first" sent out Accord on 9/4/23. They have been out three times "so far". The first two times the tech replaced the main board. The third time he said it was an electrical issue, that he was a repair man not an electrician, that I needed to call an electrician. Though I have repeatedly asked the warranty company AND Accord to send out a different more experienced tech, they keep sending out the same young kid. Scheduled ANOTHER Service "Recall" to repair the same dishwasher again for this morning 12/11/23 between 8:00am and 12:00noon. No show/no call! After waiting 5-hours, I called Accord and was told the tech is running late...that I should wait another hour. REALLY? I ask the home warranty company to send out a different repair service...other than Accord. They said they could, but it would cost me another service call charge. As long as Accord keeps responding to the "Service Recalls" on the dishwasher I incur no additional service charges. You are several weeks to months into this game, before you realize you've been had. If this has happened to you, you are not the only one. If you try to call in, then you will wait on hold forever...literally...they don't answer calls. If they call you, then it is just the "scheduler". My home warranty dispatched Accord for a few issues at my home. They called me within 15 minutes of filing the claim and made an appointment to come out. Porfirio the tech called 10 minutes before his arrival time. He arrived and quickly fixed tow of the issues. The third required a part. They ordered the part and made a new appointment. Again The tech called 10 minutes before. The part did not fix the issue and they ordered another part. Same thing. Porfirio called 10 minutes before arrival time. He fixed the issue. Each time they arrived within the window they gave me. Called 10 minutes before and Porfirio introduced himself at each visit. I read the bad reviews and was very nervous. What a horrible company. Dryer started smoking. Called American home shield and this is the company that they assigned to my repair. The technician (If you can even call him that) came opened the bottom half of my dryer saw a melted piece and said oh I see the problem closed at my dryer and said but I don't have that part on me we will have to order it. Two weeks later the part comes in and he comes back to install it. Because it was smoking it was in my garage. So he was doing the repairs on it and he is very unprofessional cussing. So as he's finishing the repairs I ask him if he can help me bring it in so I can make sure it's good to go. (Because how he was acting while fixing didn't make me feel confident it was going to work)No that's too much of a liability. Which I can understand that. But he also wouldn't wait for me and my 13 year old to bring it into see if it is working. As he's putting it back together was telling me the lint in the the dryer is what made this happens but wouldn't wait for me to clean it out. Just told me to take how to take off the bottom and do. Because the dryer was in my garage he picked up a screw that was lying around realized it wasn't for the dry and out of anger yelled that's not for the f**king dryer and chucked it and it hit the open dryer and fell in behind the drum. He didn't retrieve that. At this point I'm eager for him to leave he tells me I should be good to go and as he's leaving a conversation starts up about Colin Kaepernick not being oppressed and how Lebron James is racist and how there is no black national anthem. My mind is blown. He ends up leaving. my daughter and I bring in the dryer hook it up and it runs but it's not hot. After dealing with American home shield not being able to fix it because they were waiting on their diagnosis report. So finally they just opened a new ticket and I had to pay another fee which I'm still waiting on my refund for. The new company they sent out opened up my dry and found the repaired parts still in the dryer and pulled out the screw that the original tech threw in there. I made sure he put that it in his report back to American home shield. When I called to talk about my experience I spoke with Jerry who hung up on me because I asked him to stop being rude and cutting me off every time I told a part in my story he would have to ask the technician because he can't believe everything I say. Similar story.. GE sent them out to look at a wall oven that was less than 30 days old. Smoking like crazy with a foul odor and residue forming at the bottom of the oven with nothing in the oven. As he was leaving I asked him if I should use that oven and he said "I wouldn't". THEN, apparently they sent a report to GE saying it was cosmetic only. Somebody is lying. Now I have to fight with GE to replace the oven. I get that Accord has a lot of incentive to save GE money - but to tell me one thing and then send a report saying the total opposite to GE is slimy.
