Why do I have to give even one star when they don't deserve it? I should be able to give them an emoticon turd. Dishwasher has been broken for almost 5 weeks and this is the warranty repair shop. All they have provided thus far is excuses....and that's assuming they answer the phone. The part is either not in, or it arrives broken. Funny thing is that when I call other shops, to pay out of pocket, they ALL have the needed part, and apparently their parts are in working order. This is a total scam company. They're a third party contractor for First American Home Warranty and after today I'm a firm believer that these two companies are running a fraud based business. The knobs on my oven range came off due to wear and tear and the technician who arrived outside of the service window lied and said he'd get the order in, when I called Accord they said that it was denied. I spoke to FAHW and they said that the technician found it to be "physical damage" and denied the repair. Now I'm out $75 and my range is still broken. read more

I don't like to give negative reviews but unfortunately, this is the time when I must leave a negative review about this company. This company was recommended by AHS American Home Shield. Our icemaker on our freezer refrigerator, which is a subzero stopped making ice. We called AHS and they sent our service request to Accord Appliances. It took this company Accord Appliances, almost one week to contact us. Once they contacted us, it was a week and a half later they said they would send someone out. Low and behold these two gentleman came to the door one holding a metal clipboard (I believe his name was Sean) and another gentleman that was training. The guy with the clip had an attitude and no help at all. Almost zero conversation with us except to say sign this paper. The gentleman that was holding the clipboard wanted to look intelligent, but really wasn't because obviously he didn't know what parts to order. Two weeks later another guy was sent they made an appointment with us and did not show up and every time I called their dispatch they said it was for the following day either number one they don't understand/speak English or number two they're just want to be dispatcher's. Each time the appointment was made I did write it on calendar and repeated the date and time to the person on the other end and then would confirm. Every time I would have the appointments on calendar, either the person coming out would call and say their vehicle broke down which was twice to different people or the people in the office would say that your appointment was for the following day when I asked them what is the owners name or the managers name? They stated they did not know the owner and they did not know the manager for the company. Who in the world works for a company that doesn't know the owner of the company or the manager. I don't work for the company and know the manager is Jerry Underwood. I think this company is one of the worse and organized companies I have ever dealt with. Arrived on time and fixed my microwave drawer in quick time. Good communication and adherence to COVID protocols. What's not to like.

Since October 2022 I have requested service three times to fix my refrigerator or ice maker from my warranty company American Home Shield. They sent the same company Accord Appliance personnel to assess the repair. That was the first visit, that repair person said, "the ice maker computer is the problem, and you will have to call for service a few more times before thirty days to not have to pay the service fee again to get the part repaired." I was upset that they did not repair the ice maker and had to wait a few weeks before requesting service again, asking them to send a different contractor. The second time the same contractor came, and he would not make out a report, so the company was going to make me pay for a new service request anyway. I complained and asked them to send another contractor to view my refrigerator again and that the original request was not completed so a new payment should not have to be paid. I called several times to talk to a manager who told me a new appointment would be make at no charge and that the ice maker would be repaired. The third time, they sent three contractors in the same truck, they came in and I had to explain everything again, which upset me. I asked if they were going to repair the ice maker and they replied "No we are here to assess that the repair is required. I got very upset that I was going to have to pay for their assessment again after being told the repair was to be done today by AHS but was not. They said my attitude was bad and left without further communications. To say the least, I called and cancelled my contract, and they said I had to pay to quit with one finial payment. I hope they don't charge me for the service call that was not really a service call. Do not trust American Home Shield who only cover warranties on appliances but will stall for repairs. They stall you with having to read reports to assess that the repair is required, and then make you pay when no service is performed, and then do not reimburse you or make the repair in a timely manner. On top of the normal monthly fee for the contract. Do not trust Accord Appliance of Palm Springs because they will send out contractors who will not fix the problem until they make more than one report that you pay for each time, and then send another team out to assess the same repair but not fix it anyway. They stall on their service. Meanwhile my problem of a bad ice maker goes unfixed, they make money on the visits and make you pay to quit the contract, this is not good business practices and I do not recommend using either of these companies read more

I have American Home Shield service for my home and appliances. My refrigerator broke down, and I was referred to Accord Appliances as my service company. Accord Appliances saw a technician who came and checked the refrigerator and said I would report ASAP to American Home Shield to get this thing replaced. I called back, but they don't know anything about it. American Home Shield says he did not put his remarks or repo. I called the Accord Appliances back. They have people who barely speak English, and it looks like teenagers are working in their customer service. They cannot refer you to the supervisor or the manager. They will hang up on you. They have no communication between the insurance company and their technicians. Accord Appliances will give you a solution before listening to the problem. I asked them about the technician who came yesterday and did not put the remarks in the system, and they are ready to give me an appointment for next Wednesday. Accord Appliances are such a mess. Accord Appliances should be shut down. This is supposed to be called factory authorized. Accord Appliances should not even have permission to touch the appliances the way they are servicing. read more

I have a work order with American Home shield. The initial appointment with the technician went okay, I've had work done by this same technician and he does a good job, however, my biggest frustration is with the lack of quality with your customer service. The technician initially told me it would take 2-4 days for the parts, this was about three weeks ago, at the two week mark, last Tuesday I reached out to Accord to find out what was going on with the parts, it was only then that they said the parts wouldn't arrive until June 2nd, and they would call to schedule the repair. The second of June came and went and I heard nothing, I contacted accord today, and they said the parts wouldn't be in for another week. Now, here in lies my issue with accord, I can accept that delays happen with parts orders, back logs etc. The issue is that Accord makes zero effort in following up and updating the customers who have already paid, and then only use cheap cop outs like, I'm only following the company rules. Tell me what small business would not appreciate an employee who takes the initiative to keep customers informed? Accord, please do better. Your 1 1/2 stars is showing. read more

The Serviceman was excellent in diagnosing my refrigerator problem. But, the Company is horrible. I told the representative over the phone and by Text numerous times that I work Monday-Friday 7:30 am- 4:30 pm. I asked if they can come on Saturdays. They said yes. I waited all day Saturday and they never showed up. I made arrangements with my Supervisor to be off work so I can get Accord Appliance to come to my house and they have told me numerous times that I live too far to deliver my part. I have tried very hard to accommodate them but they do opposite. For example; I tell them that I will be home a certain day from 12-4:00 pm. They then tell me that there Serviceman is only available from 7:30-11:00 am that day. I then tell them a week in advance that i will be off on Thursday. They then tell me that they are booked up that day. It's evident that they have no plans of giving me my part. I am frustrated with the poor Service and professionalism. Horrible!! Referred here through my warranty company and nothing but a disaster. First of all service technician arrives in an unmarked car so there's reluctance to let him in. What he told us verbally was different than what he reported as a diagnosis to the warranty company, American Home Shield, resulting in me paying for a second opinion. A red flag is the fact that a blank work invoice order is provided. No description of services provided so who knows what he reports. When I called AHS they verbally told me what the technician said claiming the unit was damaged directly by the customer. Pretty ridiculous! They have since been placed on the Do Not Refer list as a service provider for me and definitely wouldn't recommend them. Accord was sent to my house by First American Home Warranty (FAHW) to look at my washing machine that failed. It sounded like a jet engine was taking off inside my laundry room and caused my cat and two dogs to run for their lives! So the technician came out and said "oh I don't even have to open this up I already know what happened". He informed me that the bearing inside broke which caused the metal drum to fall into the plastic drum which ripped the boot around the door. He stated the FAHW would probably just cut me a check for a new machine because the parts to repair it would be more expensive than that. Sounds pretty cut and dry to me but NOOOOOOOOO FAHW is denying the claim saying that the damage isn't covered because it wasn't due to normal wear and tear. According to them the report was written as NOT based on normal wear and tear by Melissa at Accord. Mind you the report is a vague email saying that there is damage to the machine with 4 photos. For the past several days I have tried to work with Melissa and three reps at FAHW to get a copy of this so called "report" and to get my claim covered based on what the technician described happened and common sense. Of course there is damage to the machine if a bearing broke and nearly flung the machine out of my laundry room, right??? Well as of this morning I was finally able to get someone at FAHW that cares about the customer to assign another company to come out and give a second opinion because obviously Melissa doesn't listen to her technicians who clearly state what they observe on site. If I could give less than one star, I would. I had this company assigned to me by American Home Shield. Waited several days for them to come to my home. They came to fix a leaking dishwasher. When they left, the dishwasher wasn't fixed, but the kitchen sink was now leading. We waited 10 days for them to return to fix it. Today Ulises finally came to fix the hose. One hour after he left, the dishwasher leaked water all over our kitchen and dining room. When we contacted him to please come back and fix this leak, he blamed our new leak on rodents! The technician Omar came out and eventually submitted an inaccurate and incomplete work order so my GE sise by side fridge is still broken. He also said that the secondary problem of a bad seal around the doors was not due to normal wear and tear (12 yr old fridge) so that was turned down also. MY freezer will not defrost and the work order submitted made no mention of this big number one problem. The absolute worst experience I have ever had. They never answer their phone, but when you do finally get someone (expect to wait at least 30 minutes), the person you get will be rude and unhelpful. Worst run company ever. On Sept 20, 2018, First American Warranty assigned our refrigerator repair to Accord Appliance in Temecula due to an ice bucket that was freeezing up . On October 2, my technician arrives in his late model, unmarked car, and assessed the problem and while doing it, broke our ice bucket. So he orders a new ice bucket with motor. I wait and wait. They call me on the day my part is due to be installed and tells me the part is broken. They reorder the part supposedly. My new appointment is Nov 5 from 8-12 and they no show . At 1pm I call the office and wait on hold 1/2 hour as usual (always a half hour). They reschedule me for the 12-6 timeframe on Nov 8. 6 hour timeframe! They no show me again for the service call . (just like some of the other reviews.) I ask for a narrower timeframe under the circumstances. And when I ask to speak to a supervisor, they put me on hold and no one gets involved in helping me with this situation. And today, Nov 14, 2 months after my request, they left a message the technician is sick and they need to reschedule me. Never in my life have I experienced such a poorly run company with poor follow-through, long hold times, and a lack of responsiveness. I would start all over but they have my part and I don't want to start all over. My refrigerator ice maker was finally fixed in December and the repair was done but the door was put back together incorrectly. I am contacting another company to fix it . read more

I too wish I could give zero stars. As a few others, I was assigned this vendor by American Home Shield to repair my refrigerator. Three weeks, four appointments, one of which was a no show even after I Called the office to confirm, then had to call the next day to reschedule, two days later on his schedule appt time the tech called and said he didn't have a part needed. Rescheduled again for a week later, the soonest they could get someone out, I complained to Accord and to AHS. Their support is all overseas so the people you talk to aren't able to do anything but schedule techs. Tech came out - a senior tech this time - as he was working he admitted they ordered a compressor that was not compatible. I don't know what he did but he said he was working with my old compressor to repair, added a circuit and changed a relay. The next day it stopped cooling all together. I called again and was told 2 weeks to send that guy out again! Finally got the OG guy to come out the following week. Now going on three weeks w/o proper working fridge. Two days after it stopped cooling completely I gave up and bought a new one. I have a message in to the Contract Dept at AHS to make my fourth complaint and have asked for a refund on the service fee. So ridiculous! read more

OMG! This is going to be a long one, lol. Accord was sent out by American Home Shield (also avoid) to repair a fridge that was not cooling. The first technician came out and told me that we were not covered and I could pay cash if I wanted. I was like, what? AHS just told me I am covered for my garage fridge. I sent him away and told him I would call AHS. He was not happy with this but managed to take a picture of my motorcycle in my garage. I had no clue why (caught on ring camera). Called AHS and sent someone else from Accord out who was training someone (no worries). He diagnosed the fridge with a faulty defrost board, was ordering parts, and would call me when in. Part came in, and it was replaced, but now the fridge was tripping the gfi outlet every few hours. Accord came back out, and we plugged the fridge into another outlet, immediately tripping GFi. His advice was to remove the gfi outlet. He then reported to AHS that we need an electrician when it is obviously the fridge. I finally had to pay a reputable company to come fix my fridge, and it was the defrost heater. Highly skilled technicians? NOT! Don't call these guys. They made the problem worse when they could have simply Googled, "What would cause a fridge to trip a gfi outlet?" and Defrost Heater is number 4. It's what I did. Simply passing the buck to an electrician so you don't have to fix the real problem or you truly could not figure it out. That's really bad! read more

I had them out once (11/28/16) dispatched from American Home Shield (AHS) warranty repair. Staff was nice and polite the dispatcher and the technician. However my 8:00 - 12:00 appointment was met at 1:40 pm. I was kept in the loop however that doesn't take away from me taking my day off and wasting it waiting for a repair person. I was told by the technician after checking for the problem and after watching the video I made on my iPhone just in case the issue did re-occur while he was there. The technician took his notes, told me he will follow up with Kitchen-Aid the next day to determine the correct part. He will get in touch with me once he orders the correct part. Well several days go by and I get an email from AHS stating ticket is closed. I followed up with AHS and they stated the repair company couldn't duplicate problem, so they couldn't fix it. All this after seeing the issue and watching my video's of the issue also. Completely unprofessional with lack of communication and follow-up. This issue still remains to be resolved. However not with this company. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews earlier, I would have told AHS not to send this company. What a big waste of time. read more

American Home Shield will not honor the work unless I pay $100 again. I'm dumping them as soon as my contract is done. DO NOT LET THEM ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR HOME. These guys are a complete joke. If you can sorta do any repair yourself or even if you can't, you will be more qualified than who they send out. I would be ashamed of myself for having a such a terrible company with terrible ethics if I was the owner. They have a D rating on the BBB and only 1.5 out of 5 stars from over 600 reviews. This just tells you what kind of immoral, low standard company this is. My dishwasher simply needed a new drain hose. I'm busy with 3 kids, one of which is 3 months, so I opted to have a "professional" take care of it. Nope, what a mess. Chris came to the house one time, ordered the parts because he didn't have what was needed. A couple weeks later, he returns with the parts. I'll try to spare you all the details.... He immediately flooded half our kitchen because he forgot to turn off the water valve before disconnecting the water hose. He didn't even know what to do at that point so I had to go turn off the water. He kept swearing in front of my two grade school kids, over and over. Then he tore/frayed a bunch of wires in the dishwasher because he didn't know what he was doing. I have a video of this dude kept trying and trying to force the cover down when it was very clear and obvious that there was a bunch of wires blocking the way. Again, he kept trying the same technique over and over without trying to problem solve. I kid you not, this guys spent about 30 minutes trying to get the cover on, but not before telling me the wires were already like that and must have been burnt or something got to it. I told him it was because he kept trying to force the cover on. He didn't say anything. Like I said, I have a video of this guy caveman-ing the cover back on. Furthermore, he also dented up and scratched up our dishwasher! I told him I was concerned about mold because of our kids, and the 3 month old has heart defects, so we can't take any chances of respiratory issues or anything else like that. He said "oh the water didn't reach those cabinets over there, it was just at the dishwasher." Just shaking my head about that because it's like dude, did you forget that I was in the middle of the flood that you created? I was under the sink trying to turn off the valve you forgot to turn off and because of that my pants and socks were completely soaked from kneeling under the sink. It was well over to the cabinets plus more. He was far from being bright. Also far from being bright was his so-called supervisor whom I talked with on the phone. It was clear they have gone down this path many times with other customers. She completely would not listen, denied everything, blamed the forgetting to turn off the valve or knowing how to work on a dishwasher as being the issue I originally called in for. She was a complete ****. It was very surprising since I started if the call nicely and was just calling to see what we can do to make sure there is not going to be mold but she quickly denied everything and was extremely unprofessional and rude. I'm sure she goes home at the end of the day so proud of what she does for living. That goes for the business owner as well. It's clear they hire anyone that can't find a better job with a better company. Btw, I didn't pick this company. First American Home warranty does business only with low rate companies. I didn't know that until Accord Appliance damaged my dishwasher and flooded my kitchen. I just needed the drain hose replaced, but they flooded my kitchen, and completely damaged my dishwasher. The tech was late, did shitty work, rescheduled when I explained the problem (because he left after his terrible & inaccurate assessment) was rescheduled because he refused to return the same day. On the day of reschedule the appointment window was between 12 - 6pm! The tech showed up while I was away for 5 mins, didn't answer his phone or give an ETA prior. Then the tech would not answer the phone when their own staff called and then no showed on the return. If your home agency gives you this company as your provider, simply avoid and redirect. They deserve to starve for their lack of work ethic. By the way, my matter is still unresolved after 14 days (broken washer). read more

Not to be trusted. Don't waste your time. Was forced to use this company despite awful reviews by my warranty company when our dishwasher was showing an error. Service tech came and said that there was "dust in a sensor" that was causing the problem and that he fixed it. We paid our $75 service fee. Sure enough it seemed to be fine for about 2 months, when the same error came back again. Of course, this took us past our warranty and outside the 30 day window when this initial repair was still covered. We then called several other appliance companies, with better reviews, and when they inspected the problem they said that the main pump was broken and that there is no way that the Accord technician fixed anything. They said that he simply must have rebooted the panel and that's it. They said they definitively missed or ignored the clear problem. Now, we are stuck having to have this fixed (~$400 parts+labor) out of warranty. I have requested that the $75 service fee be refunded and will update if they do. Mad I have to give them even one star. Wish there was a choice for none! Not happy with their service so far. Took over two weeks to get an appointment to start with as they are not accommodating to your schedule and give you a 4 hour window. The tech came, was at my place less than 5 minutes and had to order a part, and now I have to wait another week and a half to have it installed. Been without a dishwasher since end of April and still not fixed. I was given a window of 12-6. I called at 4:50 and was told the technician was on his way to my house from Carlsbad and that they would have him call me and give me an ETA. At 5:40 I called them back, but no answer because it was after hours. The technician just called now, 6:02 to say he would be here in about 15 minutes. He said he was never in Carlsbad, but Rancho Santa Fe. Add liars to bad customer service and that will sum up this company. DO NOT USE THEM! read more
