In May, my warranty company sent out the Accord Appliance tech for my dishwasher and washer. I immediately noticed that the tech was very thorough, evaluating every aspect of my appliances. However, he reached the conclusion that the failure of my control panel on the dishwasher was caused by user misuse. In hindsight, it was as if he was trying to find fault. He also identified other issues with the washing machine that were not required to repair the simple leak. For the dishwasher, the control panel had failed after 8 years, which oddly enough, the tech had stated is common with newer electronic panels vs. the older, more mechanical dishwashers. The warranty company subsequently denied repairs for both appliances. They then sent a second appliance repair company out. The tech quickly diagnosed the problems, the repairs were authorized, and that company repaired my appliances within a reasonable time. This whole process took over 60 days! In fairness to Accord, this hasn't been the case for all their techs, but it took just one to turn this into a very unpleasant experience. read more

Accord came out in July 2015 to repair my fridge under warranty covered by Whirlpool. Fridge now works, no problem. Fast forward to December 12, 2015 at which time I receive a letter from Accord Appliance exactly as follows: Mike A ADDRESS " Regarding: Invoice ##### 1st Notice Greetings! As a valued customer we would like to take the time to thank you for your business with Accord Appliance in regards to the refrigerator repair performed on 7/27/2015. We also hope that you enjoyed your experience with our company and look forward to assisting you with any questions you may have in the future. Unfortunately, Whirlpool has not covered your repairs and we have an outstanding balance of $97.10 for parts and labor. Please review and submit payment. If we have not received payment by 12/18/2015, we will be forced to take legal actions. Respectfully yours, Head, Collections Department Accord Appliance" I was told by Accord my repair was covered, and it wasn't. Fine I get that I am responsible. They NEVER contacted me to let me know it was not covered. The first contact is the letter transcribed above where they claim to threaten legal action. Now, I guess maybe they deal with morons on a regular basis or something, but "legal action" for $97.10 is idiotic. They can not even send out a legal letter for the money they seek. Prior to this letter I would have recommended them to others for repairs before, it certainly would not happen now. I saw the reviews before they came out and was leery, but since Whirlpool was going to cover it they picked the repair facility. 1st notice 12 days before Christmas demanding payment within 5 business days. My advice is to stay as far away from these people as possible. They may be able to fix your stuff but this if this is the respect you get as a customer, I'd pass. As someone with a perfect credit score and plenty of money to pay any debt incurred, I am personally offended they have sent me this letter. Now instead of a positive experience, it is one of the worst I could have expected. Now I will not be able to recommend Accord Appliance to anyone. I will however, make an effort to tell them to stay as far away as possible; not because of ability to repair an appliance, but because of how I, as a responsible customer, was treated. I do not recommend anyone use this company I have missed 3 days of work and spent over seven hours on the phone and still my dryer is not fixed. My Washer and dryer broke 3 weeks ago and I was forced to use this company Through American Home Shield. They are completely unprofessional and rude, they never answer their phone, their technicians say that they fixed the dryer yet it has broken three more times and when I called to get it repaired again they don't answer the phone for days today I had an appointment between 8 and 12 I took off work again and their technician did not show up and when I called the lady hung up on me. Terrible at following up with the customer. They don't call back! 3 techs came to look at a washer. The 1st tech said there was nothing wrong with the machine. The following week the 2nd tech came and actually did a diagnostic. He was unable to come install the parts a week later but a 3rd tech was sent when I called. The washer is still not working properly. I was told I would get a call back and I never did, twice. I know everyone is stretched thin at work during the pandemic but the work still has to get done and communication is key. The technicians were very pleasant and knew what was needed for my oven repair. Once parts were ordered the process was a little lengthy, but partly my fault as I kept missing their call to schedule an appointment. If I could give zero stars I would. I called them because our refrigeration stopped getting cold. Their technician came out and said we needed a part which he said we should get in about two weeks. I called about a week later to get an update and they had no record of a part being ordered and they would have to talk to the tech and call me back. I called the next day because they didn't call back and they said the same thing, they would have to check with the tech. I called the next day and the same thing. I called the 3rd day and spoke to another person who said they couldn't get ahold of the tech. I asked if he was still working there and he said he did. I didn't understand by they were not in contact with the tech for 3 days but whatever. They said they would have to send a different tech out to find out what part needed to be ordered and the soonest they could get be in was a week later. I complained and said I don't want to wait another week because then it will e another 2 weeks after that when the part comes in. That would me I would be down a refrigerator for almost 6 weeks! He said there was nothing he could do. I called my home warranty and they called to see if I could be seen earlier and they said no to them also. Well, today is the appointment date that they set and I called this morning to find out what time they will be out. I requested service for my refrigerator on April 16th. My insurance sent out Accord on April 27th. They've been out two times with the incorrect part. My service has not been completed yet. This company is the worst. American Home Shield sent them to my rental property because my stove, dishwasher and refrigerator needed to be fixed after my tenants left. The first appointment they came out and I was told they ordered parts and that they looked at the refrigerator and there was nothing wrong with it. The second appointment they came out, fixed nothing and told me they had to order parts again. Not sure why they came out the 2nd time if they didn't have the parts. The third time they came out the technician told me he fixed the dishwasher but couldn't confirm because he never even turned it on he never looked at the refrigerator even though I had called American Home Shield because the ice maker still was not working properly and it was leaking in the back where the water hose connected to the refrigerator. The technician told me before he left that I needed a plumber to change the valve on the house that the dishwasher hose connected to because it was clogged. He also told me that he could see that the dishwasher had been leaking because of the rust on the bottom but that it should be fine now. The cupboard that was next to the dishwasher was covered with mold from the dishwasher leaking as well. This was the Friday before Memorial Weekend. I called out a plumber on Saturday, May 28th and he looked at the valve on the house and said it was clear but that the hose to the dishwasher was clogged. I went to Home Depot and purchased a new hose, even though it should've been done by the technician and my plumber hooked it up. As soon as we ran the dishwasher, water began pouring from underneath the dishwasher. I immediately called American Home Shield, told them the technician was wrong and that the dishwasher was leaking again and I had just had my cabinet rebuilt because of the mold from it leaking previously. I also told American Home Shield that the refrigerator was still leaking and the ice maker didn't work. The technician didn't know anything about the recall on the refrigerator so he didn't check it. The fourth time the technician came out, nothing was done. The fifth time they came out (June 7th) , my new tenants met the technician and he checked the refrigerator, told my tenants that the reason the ice maker wasn't working was because the water was turned off and the line was frozen. He turned the water on and didn't check anything else. The icemaker still doesn't work and now the water has been on for a week and the refrigerator is still leaking. Into my newly rebuilt cabinet! He also told my tenant that the dishwasher was not repairable and that we just needed to buy a new one. My tenants couldn't check the icemaker because they needed time for ice to be made in order to tell if it was working properly. I got a text from my tenant today that the icemaker still was only making crushed ice and not cubed (which is one reason I asked to have it repaired in addition to it leaking). I called American Home Shield again today because I hadn't heard anything from them about replacing the dishwasher and I wanted to let them know the icemaker still wasn't fixed and that my refrigerator was leaking still. Accord Appliance never contacted American Home Shield with the diagnosis of either the refrigerator or the dishwasher and when American Home Shield called Accord Appliance today they were told that the dishwasher and the refrigerator were not even looked at because apparently I had a real estate agent at the property when they were there last and the real estate agent told them not to fix anything because we were going to replace the dishwasher and refrigerator. Now I do not have a real estate agent and there was no real estate agent at the property when they were there. My tenant was at the house and she never told the technician not to repair anything, in fact he did attempt to repair the dishwasher and refrigerator but was unsuccessful. I have no idea why this technician is lying other than maybe he is trying to sabotage my home by turning on the water to a leaking refrigerator so that it would ruin my floors and cabinets again???? I attempted to resolve this with American Home Shield and they cannot help me, they want to send this horrible company out AGAIN to properly diagnose the same items that they had already been out to diagnose 5 other times. I'm waiting for a call from Accord Appliances Technician Manager but have yet to hear from him and I am waiting on a call from a manager at American Home Shield but was refused to be connected to anyone higher than who I was already talking to. If your Home Warranty company tries to send this company out to repair your appliances, demand another company be sent out. This company is horrible. About a month ago, we discovered our refrigerator where the icemaker line attaches to our refrigerator had burst and was spraying water everywhere. Apparently, however unbeknownst to us, there had been a slow leak for a while, but to make a long story short we initially thought it had just happened so we called our home warranty company to report the problem. They informed us that they were going to send out Accord to fix the issue. Accord called right away to make the appointment that wasn't for a few days, which was fine. It wasn't until just after we made the appointment that we realized the problem that the leak caused was much worse. That unfortunately it had been a slow leak that apparently had been leaking into the walls and into our hardwood floor's and in the backs of the kitchen cupboards as well causing us to ultimately have to replace the entire kitchen, due to water damage and mildew/mold. Accord came out, but understandably could not fix the fridge at the time initially because during the kitchen construction, the waterline was not connected to a water source so the appliance tech would not be able to diagnose the problem. This was completely understandable. We told them we would call them back when it was all done and when the line was reattached to the water source. Fast-forward four weeks, The construction was completely done, and the refrigerator was back in place we were out of town for a family reunion, but I called and made the appointment regardless because we wanted it to be taking care of. Some friends so generously agreed be at the house for the appointment. They sat at our house ALL day waiting for the technician to come out between 12 and 6 PM on Monday, July 18. I contacted my friends around 3:45 PM they said no one had showed up yet, so I called customer service and a very polite gentleman said that we were still on the schedule and that the tech would be there within an hour or so. But, the tech NEVER showed up! Did not call, did not leave a message NOTHING! OK, so that was frustrating enough, but I called customer service this morning to see what the heck happened, and the NIGHTMARE woman who answered the phone was SO incredibly rude it was COMPLETELY UNBELIEVABLE! I called just trying to find out first of all what happened, and second of all to try to reschedule. The woman actually said these words "your issues are not my problem!" She said some other really special things as well, including asking me when we would be available for a technician to come out and I said today, she then said, "Today is not going to happen." Then she very rudely said to me, "I said when are you going to be available?" I answered her we'll be home today... Then she cut me off (I was going to say today and tomorrow) and she starts yelling at me telling me and said & I quote that "today is NEVER going to happen!" She then said let's Move On from today because it's not going to happen not ever, so when are you going to be available?!" I said to her why are you being so rude I'm not the one who didn't show up and keep the appointment... Then she says if I'm so unhappy to call my Home warranty company and ask them to send out a different company because she said "I couldn't CARE LESS if we have your business!" So, I would love to be able to give a review about this companies work... But the crappy customer service is so poor, that it is impossible for me to review them at this point other then the miserable customer service experience that I encountered. On a side note, I did call back to try to speak to a manager about the nightmare woman, and a very kind gentleman answered the phone and told me that they were on the phone as well but that he would be happy to pass along the message, which quite frankly is doubtful, but I am going to follow up because NOBODY should be treated so poorly, especially by a company that made a mistake at no fault of my own. I was in customer service for over 10 years for a bank, I know what it's like to have to deal with people who are dealing with a problem, and I wasn't even upset with this lady until after she spoke to me the way she did. But I do know that you never ever blame somebody for a mistake that you made... The company screwed up and didn't show up... That is not MY fault it was theirs. All she had to do was apologize, say I'm sorry that must be frustrating I'll see what I can do... But NO... She told me my issues were not her problem she did not care about my situation she had 6 other callers ahead of me, and she couldn't care less if they have our business or not. Really?! WOW! FYI, we purchased an appliance which required servicing. Accord Appliance was referred to us in the latter part of April by our warranty on the product. The technician can and said a part needed to be ordered. He returned and said the part ordered was wrong. This happened two more times. The third time, I received a call May 12, 2016 to say the technician would not be over because the wrong part came in again. I don't think it really matters if I leave another poor review to the long list of poor reviews for Accord Appliance. I don't understand why AHS works with these subcontractors. Anyone would be crazy to chose this place but have no choice I guess when AHS assigns them. To be fair I have to wait and see if my issue is resolved so I will update this if I am wrong. The tech Sean came to service my dishwasher today and asked me to sign saying the job was completed after 5 minutes. He had just started the dishwasher cycle and I asked what he did. He just said something was stuck and he freed it up. I knew he didn't fix it as I had already checked it before opening a ticket with AHS home warranty. I told him it takes about 5 or 10 min to fail and he said the company wont let him wait to test it. He said call AHS if it fails again. Accord clearly just wanted the fee for the service call and not to actually repair the dishwasher. It failed with the error code and I caught him in the driveway. Then he said it will be a few days, he will need parts. I'm hoping I'm wrong but he didn't seem interested in repairing the issue and I knew it wasn't fixed when he was trying to leave and close the ticket. I only wish they had a negative rating options! They came to my property as a referral from Frigidaire to repair our washer. The first time the came they could not find the problem. Frigidaire then sent another company who then identified the issue. The issue continued so Frigidaire again recommended Accord to come look at it. They scheduled an appointment for Tuesday and of course had a 4 hour window. While we waited they called and said there was an error and wanted to reschedule. We then rescheduled for Thursday same 4 hour window. We even called back a second time to request first thing am appointment on Thursday as they screwed up on Tuesday (of which they declined to accommodate). Thursday came and after waiting 4 hours, NO SHOW! These guys are totally incompetent! Do yourself a favor and find another company! read more

It is Nov 16 and they have yet to fix the problem which means NO REFRIGERATION and SPOILED FOOD for almost a month. They first sent a guy that looked at it, then he said he needed a technician to come a week later. We planned being at the house for their 6 hour window and the tech did not show. I called and they said he wasn't going to make it and rescheduled for a week and a half later. Got an appointment with Accord Appliance to service a built-in microwave by my insurance company for extended warranty (American Home Shield). Recommended by American Home Shield, not my choice. Erick, Accord Appliance technician came out to inspect the broken vent on my built-in microwave about three weeks ago, September 7, 2017. Very courteous, very quick...wrote on the invoice, "Broken Vent." Nothing else was written, took less than a minute of his time to diagnose that (not rocket science, I get it). Ask me one single question, "Does the microwave still work?" To which, I answered, "Yes." He made one single statement, "We're going to replace the whole microwave." To my amazement, oh, okay...I thought that was very strange. I only reported a broken vent, and you want to replace the whole microwave. A week later, for a call from American Home Shield, "Your claim for he microwave has been DENIED." I inquired, why was that denied? It's only a cosmetic issue, not a functioning issue. In addition, the technician, Erick, wrote on the report, broken vent was PHYSICALLY damaged...therefore, it's not covered since you PHYSICALLY damaged it yourself. Funny, on my invoice, he only wrote, "Broken Vent." Two words, not very difficult to missed any other words written, as I carefully studied the invoice with a magnifying glass...sure enough, NOTHING else written there! I insisted that you get me a second opinion on this (talking to the representative who repeated that I physically broke the vent). "Oh, so you want a second opinion on this?" Yes! I do. Okay, I'll have another company call you to set up an appointment. Please, any other company, but definitely NOT Accord Appliance. The same day, I received a call from Barbara of Tru Appliance. Barbara was straightforward and honest...asked me about what type of service I needed. I told her that this was an insistence on my part to get a second opinion, as I felt strongly that I was scammed by the first service company. I told Barbara that the first technician, Erick, of Accord Appliance, screwed up by falsely stating that I physically damaged the vent. She asked me what was the name of this appliance company, to which I answered, "Accord Appliance." She responded, "I could've told you the name." It was their mode of operation to collect the service fee (I paid American Home Shield $125), whatever that amount may be...to fabricate the damages and keep American Home Shield placing them as the go to service provider (beneficial to BOTH parties!). What a unscrupulous deal, they have going...American Home Shield, collecting monthly warranty fees and don't have to service anything and Accord Appliance keep fabricating statements to be the top service provider for American Home Shield. How sad! Don't trust either of them! I'm going back to Old Republic Home Warranty. Enough said. read more

Accord Appliances was sent out by American Home Shield our warranty company. If I would have chosen, it would not have been them with all these bad reviews. Well I'm here to write another one. I asked that they call half an hour before coming out. They called and gave me 10 minutes to get home. When I arrive, Dimitriy was parked in my drive way preventing me from entering my garage on a 104 degree day. When I waiting for him to move his car he walked to his vehicle while shaking his head...not a good sign. Upon accessing our wash machine he said it was a major job and that he would have to go back to his Manager and see if the insurance company would cover it and that I should call the next day. When I called, the girl said that she could not find any notes on the project and that she would call me the next day. Never hearing from anyone the next day I called and was told the work order had been closed. When asked why I was told to call my insurance company. I called American Home Shield and they called Accord Appliance and was told that the work had been completed. The lady assisting me from AHS was astonished and said the girl she spoke to was very rude to her. That she did not want to send them back out but their policy is they have to order the same company to come out. She called them again and they said they could not come out for 5 days. With that being said she could order another company which she gladly did. It's obvious this company is not only very unprofessional but also did not want the job and did everything not to take it. I read these reviews and was terrified. It did take the company 4 days to return my call and it's through insurance so I was discouraged but then Orlando showed up and he was professional and efficient and on time and pleasant. He has to come back because parts were ordered so we will see how that goes, but so far I was pleasantly surprised with him! Continued- they called when parts came in and got a little bit confused but then Orlando saves the day again! He came within scheduled time, called before, installed and was successful and left! He was nice and efficient and perfect. I'm not sure if I would recommend this place overall, but Orlando was great and did his job so well that I had to give 5 stars. They deserve 0 stars. My washer flooded my laundry room causing thousands of dollars in damages including damages to my lower level bathroom and garage. I needed an oven repaired and my home warranty company sent out Accord appliance. The technician arrived at the end of a really long day and I must confess I was unfriendly and short with him. He calmly ignored my rudeness, explained succinctly what was wrong in a polite manner and said he would order the part. In response to my rudeness, he was a complete gentleman. I did not deserve his civility. The company contacted me within 5 days and the replacement of the part is scheduled for this week. This is totally a mess. I have a washer water leaking in Jun 2017. AHS sent Accord guy to fix it. Now, 3 months passed, problem still unfix and even worse, water burst out and flooding the floor. I called to Accord, every time waiting an hour to have someone pick up the phone. Every time they said the parts would be arrived the next day. But every time they were lying. I have been waiting for the parts 3 weeks, my washer is down 3 months. No call from Accord. Nobody care !!! AHS continue to draw my money from the bank every month, Accord continue to hold the service without knowing when to fix. I wonder if they just want to hold the problem until the contract expire, then no more responsibility. Today is 5 Oct (Thu) I called them for the parts which was told to be arrived Oct 2 (Mon). Again, no parts, instead the guy said the parts will be arrived on next Mon (Oct 9) !!! Within last month, I have called about 10 times for the parts, and every time the answer is to be arrived on the following week. I am so disappointed to their service. There is unlimited Mondays, I dont know which Monday is true .......... Never never to have any home insurance with that contractor ! It's a nightmare. Today is Oct 13 (Fri). Finally Accord called me to schedule the repairs on the past Tue (Oct 10). On that day, the technician simply called that he did not have the part and reschedule on Wed Oct 11. Then, busy couldn't come, schedule to Fri Oct 13. At about 4pm, I called Accord who still said the guy would come at 6pm. Liar liar liar, postpone again to tomorrow. What can I say ??? . Do I even have to use 1 star?!!!! WORST service EVER! Never showed up till following day; even promised he would be here FIRST service call between 7-8 since my hubby took off work all day. But then did not show the next day till noon. Refused to help my husband pull out the dishwasher AND push it back in. Refused to hook up hoses afterward, telling husband to call a plumber. Husband climbed down there and did it himself! Impolite, unprofessional, lazy, irresponsible, undependable, unreliable and half-a$$ work!!! NEVER again! Thanks but NO THANKS!! read more

Horrible service, inconvenient and very frustrating. It took 1 week to get a repair tech to come look at my refrigerator, another week for the part to come in followed by another week to schedule the actual repair. They give a 6 hour window of when they will show up, this makes it really hard to plan around an already busy day. The only reason I used this company was because Best Buy assigned our repair with them but I would never use them for any other types of repairs. Their customer service is awful, all 3 times I called I was on hold for over 9 minutes! All this being said the fridge does seem to be working fine. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Accord was selected by my home warranty company and I was called by them within 45 minutes of having hung up with the warranty company. This was on a monday and they advised that they could not come until friday afternoon (never mind the 48 hours max that is supposed to be guaranteed). None the less I agreed. By friday at 2 PM still no word. I called to check and was told yes they would be here between 4-6PM . At 5 I get a call saying they were not going to be able to come that day and I would need to call back to re-schedule. This is unacceptable customer service.
