This may take some time but it is worthwhile to read. I have American home shield and I put in a request to have someone look at our oven. It had some issues with uneven heat but more importantly the handle was coming loose. This was a big problem if it ever came off when something was cooking how do you open the door to take out the food and if it caught fire then what. So they send out Accord appliance the technician who told my wife that the handle could be repaired he just had to send in a request for the part to AHS (American home shield) and when authorized he would come out to replace it. Well two days later I get a call from AHS stating the repair was not covered due to the report the tech submitted made it that we were negligent!! When I called Accord I was able to talk to Ashly the office manager who stated she has no way to see what the tech submitted it goes right from the tech to AHS and she did not know what he submitted. Calling AHS I was able after 2 hours of dealing with phone trees and the run around was able to talk to a supervisor who was able to talk to the tech; the one who submitted to AHS regarding loose handle and that it makes sense to repair. So she authorized Accord to repair. Yet when she started to submit the authorization in the written report the tech stated " due to clients negligence and abuse of product it was damaged". So she could not override it because he put it in writing!! He told my wife one thing and wrote another!! SO WRONG!! She the Supervisor at AHS stated because of that written statement she could not over ride it. Although she was able to have another second opinion come out to review the prior techs opinion. Well guess what the next tech came out looked at handle took off door tightened handle and was done in ten minutes!! I mean how does one abuse a door handle for an oven?!?!?! How is one negligent in care for a door handle for an oven you open and close that's it. So in summation the tech who shall remain nameless 1. didn't know how to fix, 2. lied to my wife stating was going to order part and repair then wrote a report that said it was due our fault the door handle was loose. So if anything I leave this piece of advice to everyone AHS can authorize a second opinion if you are not satisfied with the first diagnosis but if it is the same you have to pay again the co pay, just be prepared to wait on hold and 2. when get a repair from AHS you can choose to reject who they assign you as a tech when you call; that option is not available when you do by phone. I hope my story educates everyone. read more

Accord appliance came out to fix my washer and dryer per my home warranty company. The guy came out to my house and was there maybe 10-15 minutes and did not even open up my appliance and claimed it was too expensive to fix and that is what he was going to tell my home warranty company. He then proceeded to tell my home warranty company that there was physical damage to my unit, which was completely not true and sent pictures to them stating there was physical damage, which is a complete lie. He left and never fixed a thing. I had another company come out today as I requested a second opinion, and he came out and fixed everything in about 45 minutes. I feel like this company is taking advantage of my home warranty company. I will be reporting this to them too. read more

This whole episode started with southern California Edison, and their power surges in the Coachella Valley; they blew out the circuit board in my refrigerator. That happened sometime between October 25 and November 30. Using American Home Shield Insurance, the first service call from Accord Appliance to diagnose the problem was on December 2. The next time they came to take care of the repair was on Monday, January 10, five weeks later. During that service call, the technician said the part was defective, however, the technician told me he wanted to order two circuit boards, the main circuit board and the secondary circuit board but he was not able to do that because his boss told him the parts were too expensive and he could only order one at a time. The next service call was today, January 17. The technician came back and replaced the main circuit board however, the repair did not fix the problem because he needed to order two circuit boards just like he said at the very beginning. Had the appropriate parts been ordered from the get-go, by now I might have had a working refrigerator. It's been six weeks now without a refrigerator, and now at least 2 to 3 more days to get the next part that should've been here based on the technicians diagnosis. Every time you call Accord Appliance you are on hold for 20 minutes or more before someone answers. I've emailed them at least two times and gotten no response to my emails. How could anyone give this company a good review after this experience? I certainly could not. read more

I've had bad customer service in the past but this was THE WORST SERVICE EVER!! Tech showed up unannounced to "fix my microwave." I never received a phone call telling me I was scheduled for service and when I explained that to him, he just said, "well your scheduled" and proceeded to walk into my home. He was not in any professional business attire at all and arrived in a beat up Honda Accord that had a magnet on the side saying "Accord Appliance Repair". He immediately started to type something into his cell phone and I politely asked him if he was there to repair or replace the microwave. He very rudely (never looking at me) said he wasn't there to do either. I can go on and on but long story short, my husband was very upset with his lack of professionalism and asked him to leave. The tech became upset, got into his car and as he drove off he was screaming profanities out the window at us! Please do yourself a favor and save yourself from any heartache by not hiring this company ! I filed complaint with Better Buisness Bureau today about this company. I have had them out 3 times to fix my fridge. They were coming out a 4th time on 2-16-2015 between 8 am and 12 noon . Finally I call them around 12:45 asking where they are and was informed wrong part was sent. I waited for 4hrs and 45 minutes without a phone call about wrong part. I reschedule for 2-20-2015 between 8 am and noon again and surprise I call at 12:15 asking where repairman is and once again informed wrong part was sent. They once again didn't call. I waited for 9 hrs this week waiting on these clowns. I called whirlpool who sent them to do repair and they were not happy with there customer service. They have all these bad reviews for a reason. read more

They diagnosed the problem with my dryer without taking it apart. They said they "knew" it was the belt. Had a second company come in and look at it. They took it apart, said it was a sensor, and fixed the problem in 15 mins. It took 14 days for Accord to call and say the belt for your dryer repair has come in. I told them I cancelled this job two weeks ago and nobody call me until now. She just said oh. read more

If I could give them less stars I would. They are in contract with my home warranty insurance company. This is the second time I have tried to get something fixed through my insurance and the same guy came and screwed us. TWICE!! He denied coverage for two different items. He found some very ridiculous things that he knew would deny the coverage. I'm not asking for anything other than him to do the right thing. Some bumps on my microwave got him to not even open it to see the reason for it not working. Now I either have to pay again for someone else to look at it or spend even more money to buy a new one. He took the $75 deductible I had to pay to just take a couple pics and leave!!!!! He didn't even take the time to see what the problem was. I am home alone with three kids and don't have time or money to figure this out and he was here for less than 5 min and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Waste of time and money. Never ever all them. Everything everyone else said on here x 100. My dryer stopped working so I put in my claim in with Select Home Mortgage which apparently is also called Nationwide. The sent a technician, Oscar, who looked at the dryer, tried to turn it on and within 30 seconds said the motor was dead. He had me sign a piece of paper with basically nothing on it. Stupid me - I did. He said he would order the motor and be back. Next day I get an email saying my claim was denied because of improper maintenance. I went round 1 with SHW/Nationwide. Round 2 I call Accord and speak with Bobby who tells me I don't work for you I work for Nationwide. He can't help me. The technician took pictures and filed a report. I asked him to send it to me - nope - he can't because he works for Nationwide. It's a huge scam. They send people out to tell you what you want to hear and then tell their overlords anything they have to so they deny your claim. Stay far away from Accord Appliance. read more

I have a Maytag French refrigerator was frosting and leaking water. I called my home warranty insurance and sent this company. All the techinician did was open the door of the fridge and freezer and said there was nothing wrong with it. I just need to defrost it. This is a frost free refrigerator. Then he collected the $75.00 service fee. We defrosted the fridge and the problem never went away. He did not want to do anything but collect the $75.00 and did not even report the service fee and I got billed by my home warranty insurance. I had to send them a copy of the cashed check paid to Accord Appliance so they will stop billing me. We almost got rid of our fridge. It's good I switched to another home warranty insurance company and tried to call for service. They were going yo send this company again and I refused. I told them, I need another company. I had them before and all the technician did was collect the $75.00 check. They sent Zen Appliance and the technician opened the freezer, removed the door and found that the water hose was frozen and clogged and he fixed it. He was able ti diagnose the problem because he took the time to look into it. Now my fridge is as good as new. No more leakage and frosting. read more

Was given an appointment time for 8-12. Technician called at 11 to tell me he was in the area and would be over as soon as Samsung called him back because he needed them to consult to fix the problem. Well it's 5 pm and the technician never showed up and never bothered to contact me again. On top of that he didn't even order the part he said he would at his last visit. When I called the office to find out what happened the person on the phone said I was the second person today that the technician no showed on. This may be the worst run, most consumer unfriendly, incompetent business in the Temecula/Murrieta area. We have an American Home Shield policy. Accord has been sent twice on minor repairs. The first time it took four tries to get the repair made and the 6 hour window they quoted was just that. They showed up each time at the very end of the window without so much as an "I'm sorry". Just expected us to wait till they got here. Four times, 24 hours of waiting. The second time, this past Friday, they again quoted a 6 hour window. Same result. Waited from 12 to 5:30 with no call. Finally called the office and was told "the workman will be there by six", no apology/explanation. He did show, spent 10 minutes looking at the appliance and said he didn't know what to do and would have an "expert" come back on Saturday. Couldn't say when he would be here. On Saturday no show by 11 and no call. Called the office and was told no one available but would have someone out on Monday between 12 and 6. Again no apology. Monday arrives and no workman. At 5:30 called the office, it's closed. Tuesday morning call the office and ask what happened. I'm told "it was a missed appointment ", no apology, just a rude woman who couldn't care less that we've waited 15 hours for them to show. If you want a similar result hire them. I have American Home Shield for my home warranty and they keep forcing me to use Accord Appliance to "fix" my fridge. They have been out over 5 times for the same issue on the same fridge. I have to pay $75 each time. Fridge is still not fixed. They also do not call back promptly. I was told they would call me Monday. It is now Thursday. I called American Home Shield again on Tuesday when I didn't get a call. So they called them and left a message to call me... still no call. I called them Wednesday and asked them to call me. He said he had diagnosed a problem with the washer, however didnt have the part which is understandable. He came back thr next day. Came back and replaced the part, stated the washer was fixed. He left and not 2 hours later we used the washer and the same problem was occurring. When we called back, we were told it would be another 1-2 weeks before another tech could come back out. I wasn't really sure what to expect since I have had ups and downs with repairmen in the past. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. Fridgidaire set up the appointment for 2 days after my initial call to service my icemaker. Someone from Accord called back the very next day to confirm the appointment. Jorge, the technician contacted me as well and was very prompt, courteous and efficient. He put in the work order and even called back to see if the icemaker had begun to work after his adjustment. When I let him know it still wasn't working, he had another appointment set up to install a brand new icemaker and it works great! I was very pleased with my experience and plan on calling on Accord (and Jorge) again if the need arises. read more

I had to write a review to tell about a different experience than most of the other reviews had with this company. I was very concerned when I checked Yelp after American Home Shield set up this company to do a dishwasher repair for us. The reviews were almost all bad - I've had my share of dealings with service companies that don't show when promised, don't call back, take several appointments to repair anything etc., and I wasn't in the mood for the kind of experience most reviewers had with Accord. Accord called me the day after I put in my request with American Home Shield (home protection insurance) and made an appointment for 2 days later. They gave me an expected time of arrival. The technician called me to say he was on his way and he arrived within the expected window. He quickly diagnosed the problem - at first it looked like it would be a very simple fix, because the lock feature on my touch panel was set which would prevent any use of the touch panel. I wasn't even aware that my dishwasher had this feature! We probably engaged the lock feature when were were pushing all the buttons trying to get the dishwasher to work. He was ready to leave at that point - I was impressed by that because he didn't try to make up something that would be expensive (for the insurance company) to fix. However, he wanted to run the panel through the paces, and we could see that several of the buttons (which we don't use often) were not working, or sometimes they would stick (we tried it too and had the same experience). He quickly ordered a new touch panel and we were finished. He said we could expect the new panel to come in within a few days and the company would call to set up the appointment to complete the repair. That's exactly what happened but it was quicker than we expected. Again, the same technician, Dimitri, arrived on time and completed the repair quickly. He told us to call him if we had any problems with the dishwasher. I was very happy with the service from Accord and from the technician, Dimitri. He was polite, efficient and competent. Thankfully, we didn't experience any of the problems others reported. I wouldn't hesitate to have them come back in the future. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. This company was sent out by Frigidaire to fix our dishwasher. They assessed the issue and ordered a new part but only came out again to replace it AFTER I called them and asked for update. They replaced the part, and it never really worked right so I called the to fix again after about 2 weeks. They came out and re-assessed the issue, found that the same part needed to be replaced again. It's now been about 2 weeks and I called to follow up. Spoke with Sheila and she said that they were waiting on Frigidaire to approve the cost of the replacement part again, so I called Frigidaire and they said they didn't have anything pending but they sent another work order. Called Accord AGAIN, after being on hold for 15 min before speaking to Sheila again. She said that the work order was just to diagnose the problem - THEY HAD ALREADY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM. I called Frigidaire again and the rep did a 3 way call with Accord and mid-call I was disconnected. So AGAIN I call Frigidaire, explain the whole situation to them AGAIN, and we did another 3 way call - waited another 15 minutes for Sheila to pick up again. She was SUPER rude, said that they want to make sure they get paid because the issue 'wasn't normal wear and tear' - this is bull because the dishwasher was barely installed in December 2018 and the part had JUST BEEN REPLACED by them! I tried to speak up and Sheila abruptly stated 'I can't do a 3 way call - goodbye'. That was it. I cannot believe she just hung up & neither could the Frigidaire rep. I was doing all the legwork making phone calls and all I want is my dishwasher to be working again! I would NEVER let this company in my home again and would NEVER recommend them to do any service for anyone. From start to finish, they have been horrible to work with. read more

We have to go through Accord because they are contracted with our home warranty , American Home Shield....Called over 2 weeks ago because our 2 yr old frig wasn't cooling. They came out fast, within a couple of days. Said we needed a new condenser and would order the part. Couldn't give us an estimate on time, which I really don't understand , since I always get a time estimate when I order something . They also don't schedule for the repair until they get the part in . After waiting for a week, I called them and was told the part was expected in Thursday and they would call when it came in . Never heard from them , so called back Friday. Was told the part would be in Tuesday and If I didn't hear from them by 3, then call them. I called and was told they were going to call the parts department and would call back in a half hour. Never heard from him. Called back 930 this morning and was told the part came in this morning . Of course they didn't call and tell me that , I had to call them. The first appt. is 6 days out. I have had to call them everytime , . Don't understand a part taking 2 weeks in these days of overnight delivery and tracking. 3 weeks without a frig in the middle of summer has cost us a fortune in bottle water, ice, and fastfood . I received an appointment within 2 days of contact, the repairman came out within the time set, he quickly diagnosed my dishwasher problem and then proceeded to give me additional tips for preventative measures. We emptied the freezer beforehand and waited the entire time. They did not show nor did they call. If I had a choice I'd give them 2.5 stars because they did ultimately fix (after 2 tries) my dryer and they're all friendly people, but really need more staff working for them to shorten hold times (when you don't get through straight away). They do offer 6 hour windows as noted by others, which is a long time to wait. In my case they've showed up in the last :30 minutes and or were a half hour to hour late and usually exhausted and or in a bad mood and have ended up rescheduling to the next day when they're fresh. I have received the worst service I have ever experience with my dealings with Accord Appliance. American Home Shield contracted them to my home in which Accord never call to make an appointment and after my calling several times, they came to my home FOUR times and my appliances are still NOT repaired. The technician broke the entire panel of my washing machine and every time he would come to my home he would bang on my glass door instead of ringing the bell. I am so frustrated with this company, after FOUR visits they are continuing to tell me RUDELY, from Dawn the office manager, that the parts are not in and their is nothing they can do. She even told me that my work order is completed and she had closed my service call. Very rude and very unprofessional. I have had to go to the laundry mat 4 times (costing me over $40 each time) this is ridiculous and I will make sure that everyone that I know and hopefully the world will know how bad Accord Appliance has been. Initialservice call was on 6October, on 13October I called as to status....I was informed the parts would be in on the following Monday. I made sure I had an appointment set for the next Saturday pm 20October. On Saturday 20 October I got a call in the morning saying the technician was sick and no one else would do the job. Today, I had a MISSED APPOINTMENT. Somebody was home business card stuck in my door. The claim they called, a half-assed attempt when the call dropped, they did not try again. When I called the office to insist that the technician return and do his job they said he was out of my area. When I called the office about the issue, they said they could not send him back today. THe person answering the phone REFUSED to do anything but reschedule for another date. I asked for a supervisor....There is not one today. I said CALL HIM again she refused. If this is good customer service I would hate to see what bad service is. I wish I could give 0 stars. Less than 3 years ago I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer through Pacific Sales/Best Buy. I also purchased the extended warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE THE WARRANTY! I have since found out that I would have been better off purchasing the warranty through Whirlpool. The company they sent, Accord Appliance is absolutely horrible. Guy was here for 10 minutes and said he went through all of the error codes and it should work fine. If something is wrong it's probably my water pressure or something in the house. Everyone responsible except Whirlpool and this complete waste of a warranty company. I of course tried to run a wash within 2 minutes of him leaving and it does not work. I'll start with I gave 1 star only because I couldn't give zero. Like many others, they were sent to our home for a repair from American Home Shield. I failed to do a review of Accord until after I received horrible service when they came to our house.. First, very unprofessional service tech, no uniform, driving a plain car, no company name. Should have been a clue. My wife showed him what was wrong with our stove, and he advised that he'd have to pull out the oven to get under the stove top to repair. We knew this was the case due to the built in cooktop. Within a minute of starting to physically pull the oven out, he pushed down really hard to as he says, loosen it, and proceeded to damage and pop loose the cabinet work around the oven, damaging it. He then advised my wife who was watching "you'll have to get this fixed before I can do any repairs". She questioned him and he said nothing he can do. So my wife called me at work and I talked to him. He told me he didn't break it, must have been like that (its a new home, it was NOT like that). After I questioned him briefly, he simply hung up on me. he then told my wife to sign his repair order that she was "satisfied" with the repair. She refused to do so, he grabbed his tools, walked out the front door and slammed it behind him. Now, I have a damaged cabinet, a stove that still doesn't work. Home Shield, who is another problem, is telling me that's the only company they can send out and either I have them back or terminate the work order. And oh yeah, they even auto billed me $125 for the service call which I'm obviously disputing. And then cancelling Home Shield as they were extremely rude when I called them to complain, wouldn't let me talk to a manager and said basically, "oh well, those are terms of your contract". Not our problem. Please, do NOT, do NOT use Accord. They've failed to return any of the few calls I've left for them which seems to be the pattern of all the others below who were given poor service. read more

We contacted kitchen aide regarding our refrigerator which stopped working. They connected us with accord appliance.Honestly this place is a joke. Not even worth one star, but I had to select one star in order to write a review. I agree with every horrible review I have read. Dawn, the receptionist, is insanely rude and unprofessional. They gave us a 4 hour window and showed up after 4 hours and 15 minutes!. They diagnosed the problem and then never called us back. We had to call 6 times!!! If I could give zero stars I would for this company. We have had 3 repair techs out and no one can fix our fridge/freezer. I've asked and have been told that Jerry who is supposed to be the "boss" to call me to discuss but was told today he won't call customers back. I would not have ever used this company if it hadn't been for KitchenAid having us use them for the warranty work. Every time they've come out I've asked them call before they come and they NEVER have and they will give you a 6 hour window! Pathetic customer service and incompetent technicians. My First American Home Warranty insurance assigned these idiots to fix my dishwasher which only starts when it feels like it. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that the panel in the door needs to be replaced. I reported the problem on 9/21 and they couldn't come until 9/26. They tried several times and finally got it to start so, they said there was nothing wrong with. I filed another claim with FAHW 9/29 and they said Applied will send a senior tech to review the problem. They finally called today 10/12 and will send a tech on 10/18. No parts have been ordered. Do yourself a big favor and find any other service company the Accord Appliances! They are horrible! read more
