The only reason I stayed was because Maria was amazing and such a great server. If it wasn't for her we would have walked out. To start when we came in no one greeted us, just stared at us and made us feel unwelcome. The atmosphere was one that made our entire party feel like we weren't wanted there, and made us feel uncomfortable. Maria's hospitality is the only reason we decided to stay. When we went to the bar after eating the bartender didn't even acknowledge us for over 10 minutes, we had to ask to be served even tho the bar wasn't that busy. Hardly any sauces on them.We asked for lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise and they did provide it. They had good beer and wine. The place is elegant inside and on the patio. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Our server was great and very accommodating. The manager did check on us , hardly anyone else was there. By that time he should have figured out how our meal was. My experience here made me create a yelp thing. The food was average not good not bad. However the price is high even for this area. Drinks were good and servers were nice and pleasant. We got our drinks and headed over for a couple games of blackjack. The server in the card room Moon or something like that would only cater to certain people and forget about others. A friend and I chose this place for a girls night out and loved it! The menu looks SO good - we had such a hard time making a decision on what to order. We started with cocktails - all of their house cocktails look delicious and refreshing. We ended up ordering the cauliflower and Gyoza to start. The Cauliflower had amazing flavor and just the right kick. For mains, we ordered the Pork fried rice, tuna poke bowl and hamachi tartare. We polished off all of it. The flavors are so good, the fish was nice a fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our waiter, Bobby from Boston, made some great suggestions and The manager, Edna, was nice enough to stop and chat with us and show us around the rest of the facility. We were on a Girls Trip in Napa and stopped in at Ace & Vine. We were expecting a full casino but it's really a room with a dozen or so card tables. This was fine with us because we just wanted to play some cards. The 4 of us sat down at the Pai Gow table and immediately ordered drinks. The entire staff is SO NICE! Every dealer we had was fun and talkative, laughed and joked with us. It was pretty late and we learned there aren't any Ubers or car services after midnight in Napa. The shuttle the casino usually has was out of service that night but the manager helped us find an off duty Uber driver (who is a regular at A&V) and was able to get us home safely at almost 2 AM. We didn't get to check out the restaurant, bar area or outdoor area but noticed all of them were very busy throughout the night with lots of people enjoying themselves. Went to Ace and Vine this past weekend and could not have had a better experience! The atmosphere is clean, chic, and modern with plenty of outdoor tables, fire places, heaters, a great ambiance, and pleasant views of the river. The staff was very attentive and even brought a complimentary amuse-bouche of thinly sliced steak with soy-jelly - amazing! The wine list was great and for food, my table ordered the Chinese chicken wedge salad, two orders of "wok-this-way", and two sushi rolls (the Hot Blonde and Spicy Tuna). Everything was delicious and we were pleasantly surprised by the quick service! Simply not enough good things to say about this new place... definitely a must try! read more

If you are going to play poker, don't. They are not ready, not even close. They have 2 tables and all the dealers are new and untrained. I mean very little if any training. What makes it even worst is the "floor man" on duty Friday (7/23) night was even worst. He failed to understand the situations, TWICE & made bad decisions. The restaurant is a hidden gem. First went with my husband while waiting for my daughter to finish her swim team practice. We really enjoyed the food and ambiance. When I spoke on the phone I made my self clear which table and she said it was all good,not once did she tell me that it wasn't possible. He tried telling me that the whole valley was like that. What a joke we have been dining in the valley for over 30 years , we always get the table we ask for. This manager is a joke he is very unprofessional. The 4 times that I have been here where good. Today the food suck and the service was very slow they brought dessert out first which was weird, prime rib was over cook. Everything was just ok they seem overwhelmed. Literally the saddest food I've had in a long time. The salt and pepper beef was terrible. Why anyone would hammer wagyu beef like that clearly doesn't know how to cook. The shrimp noodle salad flavor was good. Too much dressing and for some reason it was warm? Nothing on it seemed to be hit so I'm guessing they didn't have the noodles ready and had to make some on the fly. The potstickers come out in cast iron pan and had the sauce poured on table side. The pot stickers were burnt on the bottom and the "house made" potstickers tasted almost identical to the store bought ones. Looked like them too. Strange. Really really bad all around. In the end sat for about 30 min waiting for the bill. They were not busy. read more

The outside seating by the river is amazing! The menu needs a little work but the food we ate is delicious! Just need options for my meat and potatoes guests. I had sushi and some of the appetizers with drinks and highly recommend as a place to hang out after work for all my wine industry friends! we had gone here for the first time and I was impressed with the interior and decor. very modern, very clean and the ambience was calming and welcoming. the hostess were very sweet. our server was Ben and he had Flawless service. from the beginning to the end he was amazing.. he definitely made some recommendations and knew the menu well! he was sweet and very accommodating. where the problem was: The food. the cost of food here is higher than usual but thats okay, you need to treat yourself. but the quality of the food and freshness was very sub par. I got the Gyoza and that was a beautiful presentation.. I hate spicy foods and the chefs would not accommodate not adding chili for me because "they do it as it is and do not like alterations to the food" which in my book, if I am paying for it, I want it how I want it. No questions asked. 2nd I got the Sweet chili sauce chicken... the chicken was undercooked, I even made my friend try it and she agreed. I also got the Fat and Furious fried rice with the wagyu beef and the flavor was non existent and the waygu beef was minimal... it was kind of like ground beef. If I am paying 30 dollars for fried rice, I expect the flavor to be on point and to be amazing. it was salt less and over buttery. my friend got sushi rolls and she said they lacked flavor and did not seem fresh. they were beautifully presented and had a lot of Eye Appeal. She got the Cantonese style fried rice and it also had no flavor. my other friends were not impressed and agreed with what I was saying about the food lacking flavor but very beautiful. This is a new restaurant here in Napa, I would definitely wait to go back when all the kinks are worked out but I hope this place can make it. Morimoto, sushi haiku and Eikos still reign Supreme in Napa for this type of food but I am excited to see what others post as well.. This was my experience and I hope it does get better. read more

We ordered a variety of items for lunch and shared so we could experience as many areas of the menu as possible. Weather it was the fried rice starter, chicken Thai bowl, sushi, or even the ice tea, everything was just OK, and really expensive. To top it off, we experienced the worst service in a restaurant in the last year. It was not crowded and there would be 10-12 minutes that no one was around to refill drinks, or ask if you need anything, or just even check on you. Im going to chalk this up to being new. Maybe in time the food and service will improve. It's hard to even say I would give it another try in 6 months, but I will. For now, don't waste your time on very expensive mediocre food. read more
