Bottom Line: Great service and classy ambiance for a Saturday morning brunch. By the time we were ready to seek a Saturday morning breakfast reservations for a part of six we weren't able to get any reservations. We picked Acre 41 based on a combination of Yelp reviews and Open Table reviews and it was great! While this might not be a trendy spot, that was totally fine for our crowd of 40ish something's. Located inside a Marriott AC Hotel, we enjoyed the classy ambiance, quietness of the restaurant and excellent service. The food and drinks were also great. I personally enjoyed the ham and pimento cheese omelette, homemade biscuits and buratta on grilled bread. We also did a bubbles and brunch order for the table which was a flight of juices and sparkling wine. Service was awesome. Slightly less awesome was the still water on the table which tasted gross so we opted for some Perrier. Also a little disappointing is that when I called I was told there was a public garage across the street which was only $5 but when I looked at the website after the fact I realized I could have valeted for free for two hours but I probably would have tipped $5 anyway so I guess its ok. read more

This restaurant was a surprise! Located in the Otis hotel. Great vibe, Since they have a bourbon bar, I ordered an old-fashioned and it was delicious. We started with the oysters Rockefeller and were disappointed. There were five oysters, not six, I got two my husband got three. This dish was good not great. It had what tasted like ham in it and spinach. I wouldn't order it again for the price. I had the scallops and this dish was amazing! My husband ordered the fillet with the lump crab on top and he absolutely loved it. John was our waiter and did a fantastic job. I drink a lot of water and it tasted very musty to me, I did mention it to John. Maybe that's just how Austin's water tastes. Overall, I would recommend acre 41. read more

Overall, my experience at Acre 41 was good, not great. Our server was super helpful and sweet. The ambience is similar to a steakhouse but this menu has a little bit of everything. Sushi, pasta, steak, Mexican, etc. The dishes we ordered were a bit of a hit or miss. I thoroughly enjoyed my main course of truffled spaghetti and I added salmon which was nice. My salad was good, but I did not like the tuna sashimi that was on top. Our appetizers were just ok and the halibut was dry. The service was also pretty slow, there was a lot of downtime between courses. The best part of the experience for me was our server and the Pinot Nior he recommended. read more

We decided to come here for brunch on a Saturday after hearing good things about it from a friend. It was surprisingly not very busy and was super easy to just valet in the front. We were sat immediately and greeted by our server within moments. We started off with coffee, a Bloody Mary and the house made biscuits. The biscuits were so yummy. We devoured them pretty quickly. Then for our main dishes I ordered the prime rib French dip and my boyfriend order the Wagyu and Eggs. Both of out meals were really good. Not worth the price. The Halibut my husband got was undercooked/almost raw and didn't have much flavor. It also had a fishy smell to it and had too much oil on it. got the burger and it was dripping in grease. For $20 for a burger I definitely did not expect the low quality of bun (bun was smashed) and presentation of the burger (it was sliding off the bun). The bun was also soggy from all the grease. My fires were cold. Overall a disappointing visit. Gave three stars because the drinks were really good and so were the appetizers. The desserts were a hit and a miss. We got the Peanut butter pie and key lime pie. The key lime pie had toasted meringue on it that tasted burnt which ruined the taste of the whole thing. The easiest 5-star rating I can remember giving! The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. Food: Appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all awesome. The attention from the staff throughout our dinner was fantastic! Monte was our main server and offered a lot of suggestions for us to try during our dinner. The bar drinks were on point. Monte checked on us frequently and made sure we were happy with our selections . The food was served quickly and hot. Sigh, it's so bad to write this review. As guests of the hotel and decided to give the restaurant a try. Huge mistake. We love the hotel so far, but we dinner was the worse that we ever had. Literally most of it went to waste or was left untouched after the first bite or two. We ordered really late (940pm with a 10pm kitcheb closing) so maybe we got the chef's tired cooking before closing, but we were seriously disappointed. The blue crab artichoke dip looked good but was flavorless. The ceasar salad required me picking through the Lettuce to discard wilted or browning Lettuce. The street corn was the best thing but was essentially not Street Corn but spicy corn stir fry. The burger was awful - barely more than meat and bread. The bone marrow was okay. The hostess was lovely so there's no hesitation there. Service was good by everyone we encountered except one bartender woman. read more

My first time visiting this place recently and it was not at all what I expected it to be. From the pictures online you'd assume this place was a steakhouse and they have some great cuts of steak that definitely hold the price tag of what you'd expect at a steakhouse. The reason why I'm personally skeptical of calling it a steakhouse is because the ribeye we ordered was very flat in terms of flavor. It tasted fine? Yes. Cooked nicely? Of course. Seasoned and basted like a typical succulent steak you'd get at a steak house? Not even close. I'm sorry to be so harsh but if you love a good steak like I do, you might be a little disappointed with the ribeye. Even though it's $60. Maybe our expectations were too high but we definitely expected the steak to rival Ruth's Chris or Fleming's. Even Yard house has more unctuous flavoring to their meat. Maybe it was a bad night to go. We went on a Friday night and waited over 40 minutes for our entrees and that probably added to our disdain. Our server was friendly enough and we appreciated his recommendations for the other food we got. The lobster raviolo was delicious though the lobster was a touch on the chewy side. The creamed spinach might be the best creamed spinach we've ever had. Also our appetizer was the blue crab and artichoke dip which left us fighting the urge to lick the skillet it was served in. Ha! It was that good. I want to wrap this review up by saying that the two main things that make us not want to come back here is 1) towards the end of our meal a manager gave us the bill and our server came back later and told us it was the wrong one. Very weird and a bit unprofessional. And 2) the steak was the main attraction and we were let down. If you do decide to eat here you'll get decent service and great appetizers! read more

I used to love this place! The food and ambience are great and I used to come with friends, family, and for work. I'm so disappointed they are falling into the trap of nickel and diming their patrons. There is no parking around this restaurant because it's located on UT campus on extremely busy streets so you have to valet. Now they are charging $15 for valet alone and none of that even goes to the valet guy so you'd have to tip on top of that for them to get paid!! So disappointed they would do this to locals. I will no longer be coming here because how do I explain that to my business guests or family that after an expensive meal to be prepared to pay an additional charge to something that should be comped other than tipping the valet guy. read more

Must visit. This is my second time visiting Acre 41 and it doesn't disappoint. Wide selection of wines, cocktails, mock tails, apps and entrees. Started with the iron skillet cornbread which was super moist and fulfilling. Also had the crab dip which was super rich with tons of crab filling hit the spot! I was so glad to get the email that they opened again. The food here is so well thought out, I am never disappointed. I enjoyed a nice glass of white wine and their truffle burrata. Simple yet so satisfying, especially with the toasted bread. I have been craving a burger, so I thought why not here? The beef comes from a collaboration or close relationship. My burger was delicious and I LOVE shoestring French fries. I would also recommend the truffle spaghetti, which my friend ordered. I wanted to eat her entree too! Was finally to hear this place opened back up after being closed for months during COVID. This place was outstanding from beginning to end. The restaurant is gorgeous and has a lot of beautiful lighting and wall decor not to mention a kick ass vinyl collection you can check out. Beyond that the food was amazing. For apps we tried the spinach & artichoke dip and for entrees we went with the king salmon & truffle pasta. The king salmon was super flavor and the truffle pasta was so rich & indulgent but nonetheless great. The service was also notch as our waiter was curious, knowledgeable and even gave us a sneak peek of the upstairs bar. This place can be a little pricey but worth the money. The dining room was half empty, we had a reservation and the hostess seated us at a table that was wrapped around a structural column, hard to describe but very unappealing, when we asked for another table she offered another one right next to the kitchen door, when I asked to sit across the room at one of the many vacant tables, she said no they had other reservations. Make sure you stir it before eating or you'll be choked by the chili and spices. On a good note - my NY strip came out great. +1 star. I normally don't comment on service but our waitress was green and didn't check on us after our entrees were brought to the table. The advertising budget for this hotel was pretty high. It was everywhere on social media right before they opened. Acre 41 did not disappoint. We had the scallops and shrimp grits meals, an appetizer and dessert (bread pudding), all were cooked to perfection. The scallops had some delicious mushroom spears and some greens. It would have been appreciated if it featured a more substantial serving of greens and mushrooms. The stand outs for me were the Blue Jay mocktail (Blueberry, mint, vanilla, lemon, lime, ginger beer) and the bread pudding which had a generous portion of ice cream on top. I really appreciate when the restaurant goes to the trouble of making delicious mocktails. Service was excellent. FInally, restaurant was stunning with soaring ceilings and artistic lighting. I was very much not a fan of this burrito. The salsa just completely overshadowed every thing else that was in it. The potatoes were pretty good, as was the chicken sausage by itself. It's a very nice restaurant right near the campus of the University of Texas. I can't say I'd choose to come here again but if I did find myself back I'd try and come for dinner instead. read more
