I had a very difficult stain in my wool area rug; the owner came all the way to my house and gave me an honest assessment that the stain would not completely come out, vs taking the business and money. I needed to get my sofa cleaned ASAP because my cat had urinated on it. My cat peed on two spots on the sofa and it was visible along with a strong odor. I had Eric come over and get my sofa cleaned and I was surprised how fast he did his job. Since it was my first time getting my upholstery cleaned I wasn't sure how the outcome would turn out, but Eric did a wonderful job. No footsies please! I have a little dog and well... I just can't get him to take his shoes off when he runs in & out my place. Truth be told, a dirty carpet can and will happen. I was totally dreading this because I just didn't think I had the patience to hang out for such a long period, but it all happened so fast and I never felt like my place was out of commission. Making an appointment was easy, Eric was very punctual and extremely efficient. He used a steam cleaner and it was pretty cool to watch how it works, it looked fun! I could see the contrast immediately (kinda gross, but true)! I didn't have to leave, he did every corner and then placed these little plastic shoes on my furniture to prevent wet areas and walking mats. I had about given up on the horrible carpeting there after two cleanings by other outfits, but I decided to give Eric a try, and was thrilled at the results. They were CLEAN! and they STAYED that way for quite a long time (as opposed to previous results, where the rugs looked fine until they'd been walked on maybe twice, at which point all the same old stains were right back). Since then I've moved to another building, where the rugs had been "cleaned" before I moved in, but I wasn't happy till I had them re-done by Action. The guy is fast, efficient, thorough, friendly, and SHOWS UP ON TIME. Oh, and his rates are good too. If I could give this one six or seven stars, I would. I intended to write a review for Action Carpet Cleaning months ago, but I've neglected it. Eric deserves a great review, though, so here goes. I had a 4x6 area rug made of wool with colorful stripes. It was five years old and had been vauumed but never deep-cleaned. After calling around several places, Eric quoted me $100 which included all taxes and fees. Eric came to my house and picked up the rug (which I had vacuumed) on a Saturday morning at 9 AM and had the rug returned to me by Monday afternoon! He had steam-cleaned it a couple times and while it didn't look brand new (which would probably be impossible!), it did look pretty good! I appreciated the fact hat he came and picked it up and dropped it off! You can't beat that for service! Eric was professional, helpful, and courteous, and I couldn't have asked for better service. Ever pull up an area rug that you put on top of wall-to-wall carpet, and discover that the part of the carpet that was covered looks great -- but the part that was exposed is a different color? Agh! That's what happened to me. Right before the holidays. A yelp situation indeed. I chose Action because of his good reviews, and I recognized a reviewer as a local busy realtor, so that gave the reviews even more credence. I also wanted to use someone independent and local. Last time I used a service was years ago and I chose a big name, and while they did the job, the billing was not straight-forward and it left me with a bad feeling. So I called and made an appointment for the one room that had the problem, plus three area rugs that were in need of a cleaning. Eric gave me separate pricing for each, which was useful. The prices were reasonable, so he went ahead and did the carpet right then, and took the area rugs with him to deliver after I came back from holiday. The carpet looks like new and the area rugs, including a large shag rug, were cleaned and beautiful again. I gave him one area rug that was old and faded, but I had him clean it anyway to see if I could still use it somewhere in the house. It cleaned up nicely and I'm using it again.
