I've been going to Active Barber for about 4+ years and most of the barbers there are great, but Keith, Keith is the GOAT. My brother has been going here for a while also and told me to get a cut with Keith and I have had the freshest cut since and get many compliments every time. I used to only stop by for a haircut if I was in the area but now I will drive from Westlake Village thru the 405 traffic to get a cut from him. Walked in and lucked out to get Chris, a laid back barber with a beard and sweet stash so I knew I was in good hands. Have a wedding to go to in two days and had let things grow out this summer so was due for some work. Quick and easy with good conversation as Chris did a great job with the cut and trim. Awesome value for great results! Also a bonus was that this was the first barber where the prices for their styling products are is actually cheaper than Amazon so that's an unexpected perk. Best place for a haircut on the west side. Each barber excels from fades to buzz cuts and scissor work. Very welcoming, they greet you the second you walk through their door. I've been a customer of Active Barbers for the last year. Place is always busy (for a reason) and the barbers (aside from being great barbers) just have a great attitude and you can tell they love what they do. This morning on my way to pick up some coffee (Jul 23), I noticed that they were giving haircuts on the sidewalk. I stopped and started talking to one of the Owners Ernie (really nice guy) and he mentioned that since Newsom lifted the bans, they are able to operate outside. They have full on safety protocols, (checked to make sure my temp was good, sterilized the chair, provided a disposable apron, barbers wore a mask as well as a face shield, provided hand sanitizer for both me and the barber). The Owners all grew up in Santa Monica its a great local business, I'd recommend them to anyone who prefers Barber style haircuts. read more

I went to active barbers, I called them beforehand and asked if they had someone who can do a burst fade mullet, and the guy said yes of course well guy, please don't be that confident next time because you wasted my time and money. After leaving disappointed, I went straight to Lincoln barbers, and they fixed me up. The two first pictures are active barbers, terrible, no blend, no freshness, I can't believe a barber would look at that and be like "yup yeah that's good" lmfao, then the 2nd two pictures are Lincoln barbers burst fade mullet. The tattoo guy at active barbers did terrible, cool guy though. But if you want a fresh cut, maybe skip on the active barbers. read more

My first cut here was for my 1st movie premiere back in 2016. They made me feel right at home, even though it was my first time in the shop and it happen to be the same day of the premiere. They came through in the clutch and made me feel like a star. I recently was fortunate enough to work on another project and of course had the pleasure to be cut by the great team at Active Barbers.
