Doro Tibs with Gomen, Kik Alitcha, and salad
    Mia L.

Ada's Gojjo has an interesting concept. I never saw a restaurant that served Ethiopian and Dominican food in the same place. I visited this restaurant with a good-sized group of women from a social club that I'm apart of. The restaurant isn't large, but they accommodated us. I ended up getting the chicken empanada as an appetizer, but I went with Ethiopian food for my entree. I didn't really care for the empanada much. It could've used a little more flavor, and the filling was more on the dry side. I had the Doro Tibs for my entree. It came with my choice of two vegetable sides. I got the Kik Alitcha and Gomen. I wasn't too crazy about the Doro Tibs either, but I loved the sides. We met the owner of the restaurant, who was very nice and excited to interact with our group. I was happy to support this black-owned business, especially during the holiday season. I would return, but I would probably stick to the vegetarian dishes because those seemed to tickle my fancy more.

Amazing service. Super friendly server who brought a bowl of water for our two dogs. Plenty of outdoor seating with lights, plants, and overall nice vibe. We had the veggie combo which is a choice of six vegetarian dishes. Kik Alitcha and Misir Wot were my favorite as always. Injera is fresh and perfectly soft.

Another lovely dinner to cap off a wild work week. I was hosting one of our consultants again and a group of us decided to decompress after two days of hard work. I try to experience new restaurants and cuisines each time so that my guest leaves with a favorable impression of NJ and we get to put money back into black owned businesses and other business of color. This time around one of my co-workers recommended this Ethiopian spot and I was delighted to learn no one in my party had ever had Ethiopian food. This place is interesting because they serve Ethiopian and Dominican food. It actually worked out nicely because two of us got the Ethiopian and the others the Dominican and we shared bites. Overall the food was pretty good. The beef empanadas were stellar and I loved the two gomen I had. Portions are...restrained which is great because I wasnt too stuffed to walk as I usually am after eating Ethiopian. My friend did not enjoy her mofongo - texture was strange to her. The person who had never had Ethiopian cleaned his plate. Service was outstanding and I'd go again just for that. Tables were good. I requested the 1/2 booth 1/2 chairs for my party and it was ready to go when we walked in. They do not take American Express so be aware. Free parking was available at the far end of the strip mall. In 2 weeks after the summer starts I bet parking will be a pipe dream. Until then - enjoy!

This was an amazing last-minute fine. We needed a quick dinner while we were in the area. We were able to sit outside. It was relatively quiet although right near a train station so just be aware of that. Service was quick friendly. Food was delicious. My favorite was the cabbage. Everything was cooked and spiced to perfection. Highly recommend.

The rice is definitely on the salty side, but is good overall. I do appreciate that the lady working there is always generous with pouring extra sauce on our rice as well. We also tried the tres leches during our last visit and would get it again. It had the perfect texture and sweetness.

Whether it's the lunch special or a regular meal they give u two tiny pieces of chicken or very few pieces of meat. It is really a joke. Every Spanish place I know of gives you so much rice and a huge piece of chicken or meat. And the lady who is in there during lunch has an attitude and no personality. This place is not worth it and I won't be coming back again. I just paid $17 dollars and got a small platter with rice and beans and she was super cheap on the beans and the pepper steak I got was like three pieces in the tray. I paid for all rice. Do not come here. I would recommend against it unless you like wasting your money.

Celebrating my eldest graduating today we decided to try Casita RD , we always read so many reviews and it pops up on recommendations around social platforms. The food was great as well as the presentation of each drink and meal brought out to us I ordered the Oxtail with a side yucca mash with added cheese , the oxtail was extremely tender as it should be and the flavor was really well seasoned more on the savory tangy side that paired well with the velvety texture of the yucca mash , I added cheese to my mash however next time (because there will be a next) I would prefer without the cheese flavor of the mash was perfect as is ! My S/o ordered the Boca Chica which was a deep fried Snapper , I cannot really speak on how the flavor of that was but he finished it and was full and satisfied , he paired that with some yucca fries which were very filling . My children both had their own meals of fried chicken my son with fries he's pretty simple and my daughter chose the Moro , the Moro looked so good I asked if I could try some and I am so happy I did bc the Moro especially at a restaurant was flavorful and on point ! I was happy with the food we chose , our family friend ordered the mofongo with the chiccharon she had to have me try it because she said it was delicious and it was , the chiccaron paired with the creamy sauce was such a decadent pairing and not too much , for drinks we ordered a few items like the Morir sonando that was made with fresh pressed orange juice and tasted like one of the greatest creamsicles I can find and I had a Chinola juice , which was perfect not too sweet. my husband had a few drinks , I ordered the white wine sangria which also was strong and very delicious served with fresh fruit . For the ending of our meal we had the tres leches and the lava Cake , we aall shared although the lava cake baked fresh to order I wasn't a fan I prefer the tres leches . I had a more than happy food experience and state it again extremely happy with all the food choices we honestly ate so much that there's items I failed to even talk about bc they were just great but I will be coming back again soon ! I can strongly say even if I didn't try a item I could say it would be good and well prepared their service is great and the food and drinks are made to perfection

A little crispy surprise on the bite. Over all, best mofongo I have tasted from Harrisburg PA in between to NYC.
