Update: I spoke with the manager, a woman they call Bonita. She is not at all pleasant to talk with. Turns out that it was basically my fault the food was bad, and that I was making it up. She could not find my order, therefore it didn't happen. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I will never go back to this restaurant. Overpriced... taco Tuesdays are a joke and also overpriced. Beans are good...I normally get them "to go" for my BBQ 's but they're expensive. I just pay for my laziness. Ordered chicken tortilla soup and just got zucchini, carrots and celery in broth. I don't know if it was just miscommunication and there is no chicken in their tortilla soup, but I would have ordered from somewhere else if I was told that when ordering on the phone. We accidentally discovered this awesome mexican place today. Yelp advertised the business is closed for today. Yayks! Going back to our Helendale food adventure, the server happily welcomed us inside and offer refreshments right away. Fully air conditioned, spotless and neat inside. Perfect for a hot summer lake gettaway break. Yes, it is by the lake! We got the Garlic sauced Tilapia (sooo tasty and tangy) and All meat shredded meat burrito. Both dishes are served with gooey beans and mexican rice. Both dishes are served hot, savory and fresh. read more

We renjoyed the food here. I had a crunchy shredded beef and chicken taco. My daughter had a huge Chile relleno & a cheese enchilada, and my other daughter had her standby, a bean & cheese burrito. I also had a classic margarita on the rocks. Everything was good! I liked my margarita (although it wasn't very strong). The sunset view of the lake was beautiful. The manager was extremely rude and inconsiderate, I asked for hot sauce and he explained they don't give out hot sauce when it's a to go order. I ordered two orders of chicken flautas and both were suppose to come with sour cream and guacamole and didn't. I must have gone in at the wrong time by the look I received, there were only two tables with customers and both were finished eating and were just visiting. I was told by the woman to set where I liked so I set at a small booth and after about a while she comes over and states, "You set at a dirty booth!" I said, oh it didn't look dirty to me and she wipes it off and asked what I wanted to drink and I said regular ice tea and no lemon. She brings the tea and the tortilla chips and salsa and a menu, twenty minutes later after running down my cell battery she takes my order then another 20 minutes later I get my food but she never asked if I wanted more iced tea so I ate and when I finished she was at the cash register ignoring me so I shook my iced tea glass with only ice and I made her mad. She yelled, "I'm cashing out my drawer and will be with you in a minute!" but ten minutes passed and then she walks to the kitchen and comes out with a pan of tortilla chips and dumps them into another pan and I got up and went to the cash register at the entrance and she immediately came over to get my money and asked if everything was alright. I said, "I'm full" and handed her a $20.00 bill, got my change and left without leaving a tip. This is just another restaurant in Helendale I won't go back too, that leaves Molly Brown's Country Kitchen the only good restaurant in Helendale and the only restaurant with great service, great food, great friendly staff each and every day. I'm sorry I ruined the woman's day for coming in at the wrong time. The food was great and a lot of it. The place is beautiful but so was it when the last two prior occupants were there. read more

This is for the Silver Lakes location. At least half of the time we get food from them our order is wrong. Also we pay for a full meal and don't get all the food we paid for ( on to go orders ). Finally tried this place. I had a ground beef burrito wet and hubby had a chili relleno and ground beef taco..our staples....they were excellent. Also had a margarita and it had a kick to it as well....great attentive service..we will be back...Silver Lakes needed this place. read more

Delicious!!! Just had the best Chile Verde, Enviornment is great, food was hot, plates were just right, portions were not to large most restaurants that we go to the plates are to large with to much beans and rice, the servers were wonderful very attentive they give the true meaning "service with a smile" we will be going back soon to try out the margaritas read more
