We were having low water pressure upstairs and when we would use to things at once, we would also have no pressure in either. They were able to come over within an hour and knew what was wrong. They replaced the pressure regulator in front of my house and it helped but still did not fixed the probelm. They then advised me to call the city, because since they replace the regulator, it had to be an issue with the city. They ended up rerouting some pipes through the attic which was the easiest and least destructive way to fix the issue. I debated writing this, but I am just so angry, and I feel like others should be warned of this. My shower wasn't turning all the way off/leaking, and I needed a shower cartridge replacement. This man came out and did a free quote on Friday, and quoted me $685. He told me they needed to give my building 24 hours notice, so it would push it to the weekend. If we waited until Monday, $485. I thought this seemed fishy, as I have my own water shut-off valve & it does not affect my neighbors in any way. I ended up watching a YouTube tutorial & just buying the part myself ($23.99 at ace hardware) and I fixed it on my own. I'm just appalled that this man wanted to charge me so much money for a $23 part and what was, for me, about 15 minutes of labor. That is a scam right there. I just wanted to get the word out about this predatory practice. It just made me feel really gross the way he tried to take advantage of me like that, because I'm a single woman living alone.
