On certain days of the week they have live performances to spice up the night, you can check on their websites or Instagram for those events. We went during one of those live performances and it was amazing it filled the room with energy. The food was good too, the Sushi with the Spicy Mayo was one of the best tasting dishes I had there that night. Service was great too, they were very knowledgeable about the dishes when we had questions of what they were. When they offered us a complimentary side dish and we asked what was inside, they immediately described the ingredients and the texture to us. This spot is such a vibe. Japanese fusion meets French fusion, and it actually works. The food was super flavorful and creative without trying too hard. I had the black cod, broccolini and mashed potatoes. Apple cobbler was awesome with plenty of baked apple bits. All of the food was fantastic. The live music was worth the wait - the band had multiple singers and played different genres which kept the vibe strong and going, never a dull moment. Parking was easy (valet or self). I highly recommend ADKT for date night or groups celebrating a special occasion. The full bar is also excellent. Came here to celebrate by husband's birthday. It was just the two of us. The reservation was right before 8pm and we were anticipating the band starting at 8pm (which they started about 20 min late and we came for that) We ordered red wine for drinks and one of the special crispy rice with tuna, salmon and branzino served with semi warm creamy sauce for our appetizer. It was delicious and different from any crispy rice I've had before. For dinner we ordered the miso glazed black cod and the sea bream. Not a big fan of the way the cod was prepared as I had quite a few rubbery bites. The sea bream was super tasty and I'd definitely order that again. The sides we ordered were the broccolini and mashed potatoes which were so good. The side could be larger for sharing given the price. The male server we were assigned was super slow and not really attentive but the servers who were there to assist the main server were incredible. No one asked how anything was or tasted. Our server really only came when we asked for him. Overall the food was good and the music from the live band was worth it for sure. Towards 9PM they had sax player and a DJ, he was going around playing certain songs and you can even request certain songs for them to play for you as well which was cute! Food 10/10 - LISTEEENNNNN the food was bomb.com. We had salmon, lamb chops and the apple pie or crisp dessert. No cocktails (which is rare of me) so when I go back I'll update yall on that but the salmon with Bok Choy (probably misspelled but you get it) was fire. It was juicy and moist with a crispy thin layer on top. A lot people over cook salmon but every bit I made a sound. My friend had the lamb chops and he said they were great his plate no crumbs left just bones. The apple crisp dessert was also amazing no lie! The apples weren't hard and the ice cream was like a cinnamon ice cream (a lavender ice cream would've been better) but I'm not complaining. Service 9/10- the bartender was mad nice bc he mad a whole space at the bar for us with a light and everything as we waited for our table. Domingo was serving us and although he was cool he didn't want to bring me a dessert menu before we ordered food which really rubbed me the wrong way so I asked someone but he made up for it by bringing us a small thing of tuna tartare in these waffle cones that were delicious. Seriously, the decor and ambiance are in a league of their own here. One thing though, there's a photographer who goes around snapping pictures and then tries to sell you the print. Honestly, I wish they'd just make that complimentary. It probably costs them a few bucks, but it would leave such a lasting impression. 3.5 stars for food but I rounded down because it's a bit overpriced for the portions, and the bass dish was misrepresented. I'm not sure how my friend picked this place when coordinating a birthday meal as it is more date night vibes than friend group, and the menu is not really designed for sharing although we still did do that. Pretty much everyone else there was a couple. The decor seems over the top with all the red velvet and fake trees and even a red carpet/velvet rope entrance but given all the photos of women posing on yelp it clearly appeals to others. The staff were very friendly and accommodating although our waiter was a bit clueless. He incorrectly told us that the bass dish was Chilean sea bass - the only way the price would have been justified. It definitely was not, which is very misleading since they have photos on yelp of Chilean sea bass. It was not like the photos at all, it was an extremely small and skinny filet with the taste and texture of rock cod which is a much cheaper fish. I did mention to the waiter that it wasn't Chilean sea bass as he had said and he ignored it - if it wasnt a birthday dinner I would have inquired further for false marketing and major overcharging. Overall pretty much everything did taste good at least. It's pricey but doesn't feel worth the price, but I assume people are coming here more for the unique ambiance. The menu has a prominent French and Japanese influence with notes of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern ingredients such as hummus, saffron, etc. Two start, we commenced our meal with the La Revolution which was very refreshing! Vodka, cointreau, limoncello and yuzu was in perfect balance create the perfect buzz. For appetizers, we ordered the crispy rice, halibut sashimi, French Baguette, and wagyu tataki. We found the two fish appetizers slightly fishy but the wagyu was excellent. The crispy rice had the most perfect light crispy rice texture; both the truffle and ponzu flavors were pronounced, but unfortunately, the fish was slightly fishy. The halibut sashimi was our least favorite item of the evening; the halibut was also fishy and cut in such a way that made it difficult to chew. However, the chili-lime ponzu with truffle sauce served with it was excellent. The French baguette was served warm with a creamy edamame hummus. The best appetizer we had was the wagyu tataki! Seared rare with truffle aioli, kombache squash puree, and pickled mushrooms, this was our favorite order of the evening. The textures and flavors were the perfect combination! For our main course, we ordered Le Saumon and Daurade Japonaise with a side of mashed potatoes; they were perfectly prepared. The salmon had a crispy furikake and sesame crust on top of a kaluga miso velute sauce which was delicious. The daurade had a lemon, ginger and teriyaki glaze with a creamy taragon sauce on the inside. Of the two fishes, the salmon was unique in preparation and flavors; the daurade was an excellent fish but the flavors were average. For dessert, we had the lychees and yuzu sorbet; it was very refreshing and perfectly sweet. The saffron-sake flavors did not come through but it was the best way to end a delicious evening. The food was amazing, I got the contre filet, mashed potatoes and the mixed salad. I also had the old fashioned in Paris. My steak was perfectly charred with great flavor and the mashed potatoes went with it perfectly. When I ordered my drink, Tommy (I believe that was his name) came to my table and made it right in front of me and gave me some of the history of it because he's the one that created it. I ordered the Bisou Bisou and my friend ordered a martini. Both drinks were ok. While we waited for our table at the bar, a photographer came up to take our pictures. She then printed them out, put in frames and sold for $20 each which was nice. The hostess came to take us to our table and at first she sat us right next to the dj, which we didn't like because we wanted to hear each other talk. So then she moved us to the upper stage area which was perfect because you can overlook everything and it's not as loud. For appetizers we ordered the crispy rice tuna and broccolini, both of which were scrumptious! For the main, we ordered the ADKT Seaboard which included oysters, hamachi sashimi, big eye tuna ribbons, and wild Maine lobster. All were very good! I enjoy trying new resturants but ADKT LA was by far the best experience my family enjoyed . Upon arriving, we were greeted with a warm welcome, seated, and hosted by Mya who was our server. She greeted my family with a warm smile, very welcoming & inviting, respectfu and hospitible showing exceptional service! She regularly checked on us and offered us what we needed throughout our dinner.
