As a frequent flyer on American Airlines, I often find myself visiting Admirals Clubs before my flights at airports with an Admirals Club or a partner lounge. While the clubs used to be spacious with decent food and drink offerings and excellent service, the clubs have become much busier with fewer seats available and average food and drink options. It seems that everyone has access to an Admirals Club nowadays and brings their entire families. With that said, this particular lounge is one of the larger locations I have been in, and there are many places within the lounge to relax, do work, grab a snack, or anything else. In fact, for such a large lounge, there were surprisingly open seats here and there where I'm used to smaller lounges without any open seats. There is comfortable seating as well as bar seating and table seating. Also over the last year, I've begun to see the efforts made to improve the Admirals Club membership which includes complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). In fact, there was a build-your-own-waffle station set up which later turned into a guacamole station. There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. Access to the lounge is easy to get whether through the Citi Executive World Mastercard with free access for you and up to two guests. You can also pay $175 for up to three authorized users each receiving their own lounge access (with up to two guests). Also, One World alliance flyers with a certain status can access Admirals Clubs. There are also Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining locations, which offer much more than just Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. This specific lounge is where the B and C concourses meet up right near the shopping area. It's a great lounge that I plan on visiting again on a future visit to Philadelphia. read more

July 2025, newly renovated. Nice decor. For breakfast items, simple on the day we were here. Build your own breakfast sandwich, pre-cooked eggs, Canadian bacon, cheese on hamburger buns. Some fruit and oatmeal. The standard Admiral's Club coffee machine, fancy fountain drink dispenser. Kids room with decent sound deadening. I love hitting the Airport Lounges when traveling. Great place to charge up phones, hit the restroom and grab a preflight drink. I have been to this lounge in Philly many times. This time they were renovating the lounge. Know several lounges in Philly have gotten a face lift this time it was this lounge. Bar was closed. No problem but finding where to get drinks was not well marked, Water was in a different location than soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. Food choices were limited and items were either not marked or marked incorrectly which for me made the mystery meal a bit tough to navigate. Can't wait to see renovations but will go to a different location until the renovations are completed. Love the front desk staff !!! read more

Here for a short trip to RDU for a wedding. It is 745am on a Saturday. The lounge is a work in progress. It is half under renovation. There was no coffee but then there was. Half of the restrooms were available. The restroom that I used was in need of attention. There was limited seating but at the time of day we were here it was ok. The food offerings were unremarkable. Fried eggs and various pastries and bagels were on offer. The a/c was frigid but I prefer it on the cooler side. The service staff we encountered were friendly and pleasant. Not sure how this presently is any better than the offerings in the main C terminal. One good thing is there were no lines and the main lounge area was very clean. I come through here a lot and am hopeful that the renovations are completed soon. Mark. read more

I visited the Admirals Club in Terminal B at PHL for a very early flight, arriving right as they opened at 4:30 AM. The place was unsurprisingly empty, no crowd at all, which was a great way to start the morning. The staff were impressively friendly and upbeat, especially considering the hour. Overall the club is nicely appointed. Felt a tad dated, but it was clean, one of the benefits of being there at the open I would imagine. The breakfast selection was decent, nothing extravagant, but solid options to fuel up before a flight. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. I didn't linger too long since our flight started boarding at 5:45 AM, but the short visit was pleasant and hassle-free. Overall, a solid lounge experience for an early morning stop and I would stop by again if I needed a place to hang before my flight. read more

According to the staff, I just happened to be here on a very busy day, but honestly, I've never been to an airport lounge as crowded as this one. There wasn't even any seat available. A lady saw me holding my plate of food in one hand, luggage in the other, circling around for a spot, and kindly gave up her seat for me. There were other people standing around here and there, waiting for a seat to free up... I tried charging my phone while there but a few of the outlets were not working. That said, the staff was nice, and the food selection was filled and refreshed regularly. read more

Had a quick layover at PHL so I didn't have long in the B/C Admirals Club but it was a good one! Plenty of room and plenty of seats along with the usual menu (upgraded in 2024!). Only downside compared to others would be the lack of a soda fountain so you'll have to wait at the bar. Otherwise, a nice spot to rest in the airport. read more

The review is really for AA which seemingly allows most AA passengers in here. It's unreal. If you are looking for respite and personal space away from the "average Joes" in the terminal you are setting yourself up for disappointment. For those that pay good money for a yearly Admiral's Club membership separately or with a AA Mastercard you will be intermingling with a lot of people that do not. ANYONE and everyone flying first class can use the lounge. Anyone in the world. They also allow day passes with space permitting! It's a revolving door like no other. There is no exclusivitivity. Zero. As far as the lounge is concerned it is clean, open with plenty of seating(typically). Easy friendly check in. Nice clean restrooms. Large comfy leather seating accompanied by incadescent lamps. If you look hard enough you can find a space away from most. La Colombe coffee is a plus. Breakfast breads and yogurt and oatmeal. Stopped in here recently for the first time. I love lounges that have escalators for the entry instead of having to wait for a slow and often crowded elevator. Inside, there's a ton of natural light flooding in from the large windows facing the airfield and plenty of seating despite being very busy. Didn't sample the food but it looked well displayed and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I also appreciated the large number of work carrels that let you spread out and setup your laptop and other items you might need to get chores done. Everything was immaculate as well. So last time I flew into into Philadelphia from Europe I tried the lounge and was told I needed to pay $75 which was fine but they told me they were at capacity and come back in an hour, but 3 groups were leaving, but okay, rules are rules. i say this as a person who frequents lounges. So this trip, again, had to pay, $79 which was fine again (1st class does not give lounge access) so I entered and it is very large. But lots of renovations so lines in the bathroom which isn't a perk that you expect in a lounge since the other bathrooms were closed. A line for the "bar" drinks selection was very basic. But free, so can't complain too much. Premium drinks had an up charge. Food was very basic, sandwiches, pasta salad, soup, salad, not much of a dessert selection. It was kinda messy and bathrooms were a disaster, no toilet paper in several stalls. I wouldn't pay to enter here again. Just wasn't worth it, oh and lack of outlets in seating areas. read more

This was my first time at this Admiral's Lounge... Checking in was simple. The lounge itself is quite large, with plenty of seats along the windows all nicely sectioned off, so you have the feel of somewhat privacy. The same, basic selection of food as the other AA lounges, which isn't impressive. While there, there was a guy playing loudly with his kid... Please people, keep quiet!! It should be a library'esqe setting! If you don't hear others being loud with the next person having to amp up their volume due to the loudness, then please don't be the one who starts this maddening process and PLEASE - if you take kids into a lounge, keep them quiet and play with them QUIETLY!! There was a completely packed business center in this lounge with small cubicle style separations between each desk and when I walked by there, it was quiet, though most people were on calls and many others working. My review about the lounge is more of a PSA about how others should act in the lounge, which is what I see is the biggest point of contention when I view FB groups about lounges - Bottom line, KEEP QUIET!! This lounge is quite decent though... Definitely worth lounging in here rather than in the main gate area. read more

My first time at the Admirals Club in Philly A(East) section. It was crowded and the front did apologize before coming in that it was very crowded for a Sunday afternoon. First not sure what is going on but there is no AC on!! There is over 50 passengers in here and we need air. The salad section was horrible! There was fruit flies all over and on the other salad items. I understand their club on West is under renovation and they have another one in B/C gate. I have been to that one and that one is nice and roomy! Lounge chairs, food is okay and they do have a bar section where you can sit at. My disappointment is that this is a club that members pay for and trust me it is not cheap. The annual fee went up this year and this is what you are providing to your passengers! Shame on you! You can do better, with the fees you charge every member, you should be providing fresh items at your food stations. read more

My wife and I stopped in while on our trip from Cleveland to Barcelona. Extremely busy and somewhat dated. That said, there is a lot of space. I enjoyed a couple of bloody Mary's that were very spicy and boozy. My wife had a Baileys and coffee and we also enjoyed their limited Buffet. I truly appreciated their staffs frankness when I asked for their comparison of the admirals club to the British Airways lounge, and he said the BA lounge was much nicer with better food. The food and snacks we good and the custom guacamole bar was a nice touch. I'm not currently a member, but I was able to gain access with 5900 AA points. Hanging in the Admiral's Club in Philly on our painful 5 hour layover. Food offerings are minimal and only mediocre quality. Complimentary drinks are limited and the lounge is very crowded. The most problematic thing is the nearly complete lack of WIFI, this is one of the most critical requirements for a traveler. You would think at one of American's hubs you would have a better lounge but here we are. Not sure if the club card is worth the money based on our experience. read more

I'm here on a Monday Morning at 0930 and had a great experience. This place is spacious yet I've only seen 5-10 guests, likely due to the time. I wished I hadn't eaten prior to entering because there are more food options than I expected! There is a made to order avocado toast station in the mornings, which you can customize with various toppings including prosciutto or smoked salmon. It looked so good, and they were kind enough to offer to make me one to go to enjoy later (pictured). They even gave me a reusable lunch bag! NOTE: Though they don't have a tip jar out, I highly recommend tipping, especially if they give you extra or go out of the way to wrap it up for you. There are several scattered food stations also; one has individually packed pastries and bagels along with a toaster, with butter/cream cheese/jam if needed. There are individual cups with hard boiled eggs, single serve chobani yogurt, cereal cups with half pints of milk, small cups of fruit. And the espresso/cappuccino machine is fully open for business. There is of course the bar, which I skipped this time, but is handsomely designed and appears to have all the standard offerings. A work area with printer/fax is also handy but no built in computers that I could see (bring your own!). The folks working here are friendly and helpful, and everything is extremely clean. read more

I appreciate the staff and location of this lounge. It's a little difficult to find as it states "between B and C terminals". There is literally a walkway where you see both B and C signs, it's kind of behind the food court area, close to the Marriott. So it's not super easy to find the first time yet ask any airport staff and they will direct you! Once inside, the front staff is super nice. I am with a partner lounge and yet they're always nice to me. I don't take for granted that I have access as I've seen my lounge put the sign out that they don't have room to accept the partner memberships. I've never experienced that with the Admirals lounge! Anyways, they have fresh guacamole starting at 4 pm, nice well drinks and great cappuccinos! read more

I'm at this club a few times each month--PHL is my home airport, most of my flights are out of B/C Gates, and Terminal C has the PreCheck lane. The club is staffed with great people, always friendly and cheerful. The bartenders are awesome, and super attentive. This particular club always has great "new" complimentary food options (i.e. Made-to-Order Avocado Toast for breakfast and Made-to-Order Fresh Guacamole for lunch), in addition to standard Admirals Club options (soups, brownies, cookies, vegetable/fruit/cheese spread etc.) and food for purchase. There are several different seating areas, and the club is never "full" so you're practically guaranteed extra space. All in all, great club! read more

My son and I walk in I'm white with dark brown hair my son isnt.. this lady at the gate immediately said we don't sell day passes today because of capacity. I said I have the AA Citi Card she said is it black is said actually it is. Had she had scanned out passes she would of saw all of this. No doubt she saw my son and made assumptions. I immediately called my concierge for my Centurion card which I rarely do and she said she should of let in. I have never reviews and complained about much but that lady at the dest was wrong in so many ways. Going to file a complaint with American Airlines. So upset. read more

Admirals Club - the lounge area of the terminal - Airport Lounges Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

This is one of four Admirals Club locations at PHL, and this one was equally hard to find as the other one I visited. The elevator to reach it is tucked into a pillar and facing the opposite direction of when you approach from security. Additionally, there did not seem to be any general signage in the terminal pointing the way to any of the club locations. I actually had to stop and ask an employee, and I've never had to do that at DFW or elsewhere. Once you get off the elevator you'll find helpful desk staff; they offered to look up flight information for me as I handed over my membership card. Inside you will find quite a large lounge rivaling some of the DFW clubs. I'm guessing it's so large given that PHL used to be one of USAir's hubs. It's basically laid out in one long rectangular shape with seating on both sides. They have small groupings of seating on the window side allowing a small group to sit together with a modicum of privacy. The WiFi was working and seemed reasonably fast. There are lots of large windows with views of the tarmac, and power outlets seemed to be at all the seats. The club was not crowded at all around 7:00pm. Staff were circulating and picking up used dishes, etc. They had a bar, a gourmet coffee machine, and several small buffets with the usual Admirals Club fare (dry snacks, two hot soups, cheese cubes, hummus, cookies, brownie bites, etc.). Beer and wine are complimentary as is the standard at Admirals Clubs. I had arrived too late for the custom guacamole service which is a fun thing many Admirals Clubs offer these days. I wish they would put in a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine as some other clubs have done. There seemed to be only one small bathroom (odd for such a large club). Overall a perfectly decent and standard Admirals Club, but I wish there was better signage telling passengers how to find it. read more

Probably one of the worst airline lounges and in desperate need of a makeover. The food was so pitiful and put out as such an afterthought by the staff that I didn't even bother eating it. The only complimentary drinks are Coors Light and house wine, everything else is extra. Furniture is quite worn as well, and most of it should be replaced. If you have other options in PHL, use them. read more
