I don't drink alcohol so didn't try their extensive mezcal list, but their non-alcoholic colada was my favorite drink of the year so far. With lyres white cane, pineapple, coconut, epazote and lime, it was not too-sweet elevation of the colada to a truly memorable level. Service was very personable and quick, and while the restaurant is small, had a great atmostphere for small groups (there is only one table that fits 4). I will return every time I'm in Denver.

Wow. Seriously wow. I've never said this before, but if there was a 6 star option on Yelp,…read moreMezcaleria Alma would get it. Everything is perfection from the delicious food, the outstanding service, and the beautiful decor. I know this sounds like hyperbole but dining here was an experience I'll never forget. Let's start with the food. Everything was perfection. Our favorite was the aguachile de erizo (scallops and uni). The Santa Barbara uni is to die for. I'm not even a fan of uni nor scallops but the dish was so good especially with the aguachile. Do not skip that dish especially if you like a little bit of spicy. The Tostada del Toro was next up. This is the dish that everyone gets here and for good reason. First off, look at all those chives. The tostada shell was amazing with a nice charred taste to it and the aged toro (aged 3-6 days) was so flavorful and melted in the mouth. The burrata con huitlacoche was the most unique burrata dish I have ever had. The combination of the toasted bread, savory burrata, sweet nut crunch, and the unique taste of huitlacoche (Mexican caviar) was so well-done and just all fit so well together. Last but not least, the tres leches. Hands down, the best dessert I have ever had. Not too sweet and just heavenly. Do not skip this. I'm pretty sure I said "wow" after every bite. Second, drinks. I love mezcal. If you are a fan of mezcal or tequila, this place is a must go. I was given a free birthday shot with a side of crickets (I hate bugs but try it, it's actually really good), orange, and wormsalt. We got the Stinger and Colada. I was warned that the Stinger is a love it or hate it drink. I personally enjoyed it but it is very in your face with the herbal taste. The Colada is much easier. Last but not least, the service. Jorge, the sous chef, deserves 6 stars alone. He really elevated our experience which was already great to next level. He took care of us professionally while also being very personable. I would highly recommend getting a seat at the chef's table if you can. If you are celebrating an occasion, trying to impress a date, or just want a phenomenal meal, I can't recommend Mezcaleria Alma enough. I'll be back soon!

It also included a small bowl's worth of jasmine rice topped plus three sauces on the side. My favorite was the sesame with sweet chile sauce, while I passed on the spicy vinegar and mango habanero sauces given my low tolerance for spice. Even after a 15-minute delivery drive, everything was still warm and crispy, which is not always the case with takeout. I am already excited to order again and try the chicken adobo, along with a few of their tacos!

The lumpia is the long version and very tasty, the pancit, chicken adobo and lechon kawali plate is very good and when they have calamansi I try and get a cocktail with it because the juice tastes real lol. The few things that I think could use improvement are the tacos. I've had Taco Tuesday there maybe 4 times and unfortunately realized that the tacos are pretty oily and unless getting a non-sauce inclusive taco it's going to likely be oily. The fusion of Filipino into the tacos is a nice gesture but honestly did not do it that much for me, I ultimately like their classic types of tacos and not really the fancy/unique ones they sell. My friend also got a burrito at one point and it was dripping oil. The drinks also tend to be on the weak side and after having three cocktails there over a single meal I didn't really feel much of anything. The service and ambiance of the place is great and the owner really cares about the customers but the parking lot sucks lol, I'll continue to visit this spot for the items that I feel are good but haven't really been out for Taco Tuesday in a while.

It only took us a few days before my fiancé and I went over to check it out. They have so many deals throughout the week, including brunch, taco Tuesday ($3.99 tacos all day), etc. We have gone several times now, including for Cinco de Mayo (they brought a mariachi band for several hours!) and the food and drinks are always good. Very tasty and fresh, and I will certainly be back! The service is slow at times, but always friendly!

I ordered the Birria tacos (3 per order for $20). My partner ordered 2 vegetarian tacos. Although the birria tacos had great taste, they weren't grilled properly to get that crispy exterior that allows you to pick them up and dip in the delicious beef consommé--the whole point and delight of birria tacos!!!! I had to use a knife and fork, and the exterior of the tacos were overly greasy. So that was disappointing. My partner really liked the veggie tacos, saying they were delicious and filling. The service was prompt and friendly. We loved being able to sit outside on the covered patio and enjoy the beautiful day.

My boyfriend and myself were looking for a new place to eat for my birthday 5/15 Monday was my…read morebirthday. We chose this place because we have never been there before. Lol parking lot was quite empty when we pulled in but it looks like a nice place we walked in. We were greeted and seated immediately our server came to our table with chips and salsa. Salsa was good chips had a light fluffy taste to them, which was good. We liked them. We ordered ice tea instead of alcohol. This time the ice tea was very refreshing the lemon that they put on the edge of our class was very fresh. That was nice. I ordered the pork chop plate which came with chili and you had a choice of two sides. I ordered potatoes and rice which I thought was very cool that you could choose your own sides, most restaurants they automatically come with rice and beans. What I thought was very cool was my meat was not smothered with my chili it came in a little pot off to the side so I could smother my food as I wanted and you could see the part in the picture I post, our server was very friendly checked on us periodically not too much to be a bother but just enough to make sure that we knew he was there for us. I find that very accommodating I like that.! as we were sitting there, the restaurant started getting a little more busy noticed some older clientele coming in, and they just walked in and set them selves so we figured they were regulars lol the servers do them, and immediately brought them their drinks and the chips and salsa without asking them what they were drinking That's how we knew that they were regulars... We had a nice time chitchatting checking out the family pictures that adore in the walls. That's always nice to see. They also had quite a few TVs hanging around the walls with different showings. There was sports there was news and whatever else they chose to put on the TVs the decorations very nice, and the lights that hung over the booths, very cute not too bright and not too dim. I do recommend this place it was good food, and the ambience was amazing and the server was great! I did have to ask for a to go box, and I was quite pleased to see that it was not Styrofoam. Yay.!! so if you're in the neck of the woods at 80th and federal stop in and grab a bite to eat ! I hope y'all enjoy it as much as we did! Thanks For The Read Until Next Time
