Wanted to try a new place, decided on Adobo Taqueria. I called in an order for a super veggie burrito for pick up. Ordering was super easy and there was plenty of parking when I arrived. Once I got home with the food, I was starving so i dug right. First few bites were just rice and beans. Ask I kept eating... still only rice and beans... I finally hit a couple pockets with an avocado chunk and a small dollop of sour cream. Incredibly disappointing. The burrito was basically just rice and beans, no cheese, no pico de gallo, almost no sour cream, and just the small random chunk of avocado. Didn't enjoy my burrito whatsoever sadly. Salsa were alright, but didn't make up for my sad burrito. Don't think I'll be returning to this joint. read more

This restaurant had some great Yelp reviews and I just had to try it! They had so many items to choose from but I had to select the one item I compare all Mexican restaurants with, a Carne Asada burrito. I had to Super Burrito and it was huge. As I enjoyed each bite it seemed like I was tasting mostly the beans. I saw the marinated steak that was finely chopped and it might have been helpful if there was a little more of the protein in it. This is the place to go for super inexpensive and delicious food. Tacos at 1.75 and Super Burrito at 8.50. Not the place to expect organic saffron or fancy pants dishes. I came on a weekday for lunch. 8 small tables, enough to hold folks waiting for to go orders and to eat in if you want. Limited drinks selection as others have said. They have several beers and the CocaCola in bottles plus a few other choices. To try it out I had 3 tacos - one al pastor, one crane asada and one al pastor. The steak was generic tasting. The al pastor was tasty and had a good spice level. The Carnitas was very good, roasted well and tender. I also tried a pollo sopes. The chicken was good - it tasted like the same marinade for the carne asada - but unremarkable. I didn't care for the sope itself - tasted like a generic supermarket frozen sope with generic tasting cheese inside. I didn't eat half of it and would not order that again. All of these had fresh cilantro and toppings on them. There are three salsa choices - a smoky mild, a weird green avocado sauce that was medium and a green spicy salsa. Liked the red and green, but not the medium. Bathroom was okay, not filthy but could use a deep clean. Dishwashing soap for hand soap was a miss. Excellent place for inexpensive tasty food. I was assisting in getting catering for an approx 100 person holiday employee party. We called around to about 10 of the top Yelp rated taquerias in Santa Rosa to see availability and price comparisons. At Adobo, I spoke with Antonio, the owner. He gave me a very competitive price on the food (one of the 3 least expensive) and seemed very interested in making it happen. A group of us went to eat to check the food out and really enjoyed it. We tried all the different meats for tacos and enjoyed them all. The salsas and guacamole are made in house and very good, not diluted. We decided to use Adobo to cater the event. At the event the food was delicious. In addition Antonio delivered the food himself, helped set it up, helped use serve the food, and stayed for the entire event. (He did not charge us for this, nor did we expect it.) He made sure that everything was good to go. Bottom line: Good food, good prices, great ownership. He opened/took ownership of Adobo just before the pandemic. A great place to support. The only downside is that he is way out in West SR. read more

A friend told me about this place and I'm so glad! Their burritos are ginormous! Basically the size of a new born baby! I usually eat half when i buy it and save the other half for my next meal. They have a tasty guacamole salsa verde that is a must when you go and eat there. The owner is super friendly and offers some of the best customer service I have ever seen. read more

I have been here a couple times and must say that their Birria is exquisite. I've only had that and their menudo, which is also very delicious and flavorful. I would give them five stars but often they'll give very very little meat with their order of Birria and it's too expensive to pay so much for mostly broth. Ordered a vegetarian tostada and it was SO small and for over $8!!! The sauce on the wet burrito is weird, almost sweet. Weird flavor. I saw one review that said this restaurant needed an acquired taste. That may be the case. My daughter loves this place, so I was sent on a food run to get some super burritos. I guess they've gotten over their quirky phase, as it was now separated from the donut shop and other restaurant. I just didn't get a good taste / feel for the burrito. I guess 2 stars is appropriate because I have definitely tasted better and it really wasn't "A-Okay." Not sure I'll be back, but I know my daughter will. Like I said, she loves the place.
