The food is consistently excellent. The ocho on the dinner menu (picoso, por favor) is an absolute fave...but I'll occasionally surprise myself with a chimi or other, excellent, entree. When I arrived, the place was practically empty. I stood there and they refused to sit me because I was waiting for my friend. I then told them I'd like to order my meal alone and get water. The waitress rolled her eyes and gave such attitude about 'breaking rules'. They are NOT veg friendly, their sauces use meat for the most part and the one that doesn't is not great. She was still lecturing me while I was given water, so I left and my friend and I went across the street and had a lovely meal at the new competitor. Definitely a great Mexican restaurant! We finally stopped here this past week and can't think of any reason not to eat here . Its menu offers a wide array of food choices . My husband loved the Mexican burger with generous fries . I had number 4 combination and was really astonished at how big and perfectly done my relleno was ! All the food is homemade -just delicious. Adriana's is not the hidden gem that it used to be, but that's okay - as all the business this restaurant gets should ensure it stays in business for a long time. My most recent visit was this past Thursday, as I took my sons for lunch after hiking at Castlewood State Park. The parking lot was very full, but we were able to get a booth seat quickly. The staff was prompt with service, bringing menus, chips and salsa (salsa is AWESOME!!!), and took our drink orders. Even with a packed house, our lunch order was taken quickly and I was brought an ice cold cerveza (earned that from the hike!). Our food came out about 10 minutes after we ordered and looked as good as it tasted (the steak chimi is the best here!). If you are down in Castle Rock or the Franktown area, I highly recommend trying this restaurant out. There is outside seating (we sat inside with the cool air after a 2+ hour hike) - but the inside is welcoming and clean. One more recommendation... treat the staff well, as they work their butts off taking care of all the tables! read more

Had a good meal here with a friend last week. Parking is decent but if they were packed I can imagine it would have been hard to find a spot. When I first arrived they weren't yet busy, and my friend was about 5 minutes away. I asked if we could sit outside and was asked rather pointedly if my entire party was there. I said no they were about 5 minutes away and they responded I could wait in the lobby area and that they would seat us when we were all there. Seemed slightly odd because the entire outside section was empty. But I waited and when they arrived we decided to sit inside. Food was good but not great. The refried beans were fairly runny to begin with. When they mixed with the green chile sauce from the chimichanga, they were basically a puddle of food. Everything tasted fine but the less than glowing hospitality definitely impacted my experience. By the time we got ready to leave they were pretty packed as it was a Friday evening, so I can completely understand needing to be careful with seating when it's busy. That message could have been delivered in a warmer, more friendly way. I admittedly have high service expectations but service and warmth are more important to me than mind blowing food. I'll probably be back at least once again as I've learned not to write a restaurant off after a mediocre service experience, especially in a post pandemic era that has been hard on the service industry. This place, where do I begin? 1) the staff is extremely friendly. They care about your wellbeing and your good time out. It's family based so they know when an outing should be amazing and they delivered that. They treat the customers like family. Plus their service is great as well for how busy they get and are based on the Togo orders and the in house orders. THEY ARE BUSY GIVE THEM A BREAK!! 2) the food is excellent. It's been a long time since I've had authentic Mexican and good tasting food and it's very amazing and affordable that they can give you the authenticity.
