Take your car somewhere else. I went in for an oil change and hadn't had any work done for awhile, so I expected a lot to be uncovered in the inspection. They came back and told me that my brake pads/rotors and struts/shocks needed to be replaced. Specifically they told me the front brake were at less than 4mm and needed to be replaced ASAP, the back brakes were at 5mm and could wait 3 - 4 months, and there were "rust rings" in my rotors so they would also need to be replaced. They quoted me a little over $3,500 for everything. I know a little about cars and have mechanics in the family, so I ran everything by them first. 1) We decided to do the brakes ourselves (my uncle worked at a brake shop). We found that there was no issue with the rotors in what they described as "rust rings". Saved a few bucks there. The front pads were at about 4mm, so they likely did check those. We got to the back brakes, and had to use a sledge hammer to get the tires off (indication that they didn't take them off to check). When we got the pads off there most almost nothing left, and they were about to start grinding the rotors. Another indication that they lied about checking them because there was certainly not 5mm left. 2) I took my car to another shop to have the struts/shocks looked at after realizing the lies this Firestone told about the brakes. I had noticed the cars handling was a bit spongey and bouncy, so seemed like it could be true. The next shop actually test drove the car, and found the issue wasn't the struts/shocks, rather 3/4 tires had broken belts. This Firestone clearly did not check the car thoroughly and lied about the issues I was having to milk me for money. The scariest part about this is that broken tire belts increase the risk for blowouts at high speed. So I could have put $3,500 into my car, and still had something catastrophic occur that could have caused injury to my family, me or someone else. Not much else needs to be said about this business.

The job was not perfect but they did a good job with cleaning for the pricey detailing they charged me. The water continued flowing in even after the detailing. Pretty much everything was moved around and not put back in place. The steering wheel, the cup holder, the rearview mirrors. Initially when I turned my car on I got an red screen of death, but fortunately, after I adjusted the steering wheel back in position, it cleared off and got back to normal. My driving glasses disappeared, some items were broken in the process of cleaning. They threw away my wet towels that I was using to clean out the water and some other items which I wasn't too pleased with. It could have been put in a plastic bag instead of taking the liberty to throw away. The garage wasn't exactly near me in the 60626 neighborhood which was a hassle to get to and back. Many of the causes were obviously from the water flooding. Either way, it was cleaned enough to at least get me dried out from the flooding. In the long run I've been happy to be in a clean car.

Stay away. They OVERCHARGE and do the job badly. They put the wrong drive shaft bracket on our…read moretruck, so there was a lot of play in the drive shaft, causing a major vibration through the whole vehicle. They also put on 8 after market, poor quality cab mounts between the frame, making the whole cab feel like you were riding on metal. When we brought it back because of the vibration, they did a full inspection and couldn't figure out where it was coming from, even though it was their fault and charged us more. We spent at least $10,000 for motor work, the drive shaft, etc! $6,800 of that went to bullet proofing the engine (which means there will be no more leaks). The truck had to go back MULTIPLE times because it wouldn't stop leaking. J told me the engine would still have problems even after they finished their work. After paying $6,800 to "bullet proof" an engine, there should be no more problems! They also put in a steering wheel box and didn't tighten down the adjuster nut, so while my boyfriend was driving, he was having to turn the wheel to the right and left, 12 inches each time, just to keep the vehicle straight. He had to drive like that for 13 hours. Even worse, when we got the truck back after many of their "repairs", they returned it with a broken tail light, dented hood and dented quarter panel. So unprofessional! They held on to our truck for months and this is how they returned it to us. While this might be an easy stop for a lot of people that are local, I recommend you skip it and go to a qualified mechanic. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Also, it was Black Friday and they were able to come to us on Monday morning. We purchased a new starter through Auto Zone (thanks to their Black Friday deal we got 20% off AND free next day delivery!!) The guys arrived 30 mins early!!!! It was amazing how they just lifted up my Honda Civic which had been sitting in my parking lot since Wednesday. It took a few hours but they were able to install the new starter and charge us what they quoted over the phone. We are very happy and impressed! I have a 12' Lexus IS250 and I was involved in an accident where my front and rear bumper needed to be replaced. I was looking for many local shops that had fair pricing and good reviews, reviews always go a long way. I found Auto Plus of Chicago with 4+/5 stars. I had spoke to the owner, Sam, about pricing. He gave me a very reasonable price for paint+install. I had ordered the front and rear bumpers on my own, I just needed the shop to paint+prime and install them for me. 04/06/2021- This was the first day that I came in to drop my car off to the shop. At first glance this shop looked very unprofessional, it looked like no one even worked here, not a single worker to be found, except the janitor. I walked around and found one of the workers in the office. I told him what I needed done and that I spoke to Sam. I left the bumpers there for them to paint and they said they would contact me when they are ready to be installed. Sounded good to me. 04/06/2021- I was told the bumpers were done and to leave the car at the shop for installation, which was fine with me, shouldn't take long at all. I was told that their painter broke their back and it would take longer than usual, I understand accidents happen so that was fine. 04/17/2021- I was told the car was ready. I came into the shop to notice the paint color was off and there were smudge marks everywhere. My car is nebula gray, while the front and rear bumper were painted like a light blue shade. I said I'm not taking it and to fix this and let me know when it's ready. 05/06/2021- I was finally told the car was finished this time and I came into the shop, this time the paint was matched fairly accurate and weren't many smudge marks which looked fine to me. The funny thing is they got this paint from Sherwin-Williams, which was right across their shop... I thought I would had a smooth and easy process with this shop, but of course with my luck right when I came in to make a deal with them is when these new workers bought the shop. Previous owners seemed to care much more about customers and provided quality service. Overall, this shop is VERY unprofessional and no one seems to CARE about any customer satisfaction. If you actually want some decent customer service the only person I recommend talking to is SAM, absolutely no one else at that shop has any idea what they are doing and they are very unprofessional. It took EXACTLY 1 month for me to get my car just to get the FRONT and REAR bumper painted and installed. A job like this should take a WEEK at most, realistically a couple days. I had to come in THREE separate times to look at the car just to even see if it was right. The first and second time were absolutely ridiculous and I would feel embarrassed to even offer a customer a vehicle looking like the way mine did. At-least the third time they got it right, there were a few minor fixes, but at that point I just needed my car back. BEWARE IF YOU CONSIDER COMING TO THIS SHOP
