First time here becasue the Auto Zone across the street (where I usually go) was out of what I needed. I walked in, found what I needed, and headed up front. One employee was on the store phone so I directed myself to the other one who was just standing there holding his head up with his hand. He says, "he'll check you out" and points to the guy on the phone. I say, "I'd like to know if this is the correct item for my car". He points to the guy on the phone again and says, "He'll do it". Guess holding up his head was taking up all his time and he couldn't do it himself. I'm standing there waiting for the guy to get off the phone when a 3rd employee says loudly in Spanish, "You just checking out?" I understand him so I tell him in Spanish I need to doublecheck if that part will fit my car. He gets on the computer and here's the rest of the conversation in English: - "What car do you have?" - "I have a 2008 SMART car." - "What kind of smart car?", he asks in an annoyed tone - "Um, a SMART car!" - "I need an actual make of a car", in a more annoyed tone. - "That's the make, SMART" - "Oh! It's actaully called smart? There it is" SMART cars have been around in the US for at least 10 years. I've never had any issue at Auto Zone with people not knowing what a SMART car is. I learned my lesson and will avoid this place at all costs. My money will go to Auto Zone read more

I had excellent and friendly help. They checked my battery and installed the new battery. They also checked the alternator.

I recommend them. I bought a battery in 2020. I took it in to get a charge because it wouldn't start. It wouldn't hold the charge so I had to get a new one. Because the warranty was not yet expired, my battery was replaced at no charge. Thay were friendly, courteous, and helpful. read more

My mother was getting her last chemo and I had two hours to kill. I stopped at the O'Reilly's at 705 W Stassney with the intention of replacing the wiper blades on my mom's car. Typically I get outstanding customer service at O'Reilly's. That particular store fell way short. I walked into that O'Reilly's without being greeted. Two more people came in behind me and they were both greeted. I took the wiper blades to the counter and was third in line. A staff member was helping an elderly gentleman. That staff member looked up, saw two people waiting in line, got on the intercom and called for Kevin. Then the staff member walked outside to take a look at the vehicle of the elderly man he was helping. There were at least two other staff members present and they appeared to be putting parts away behind the counter. Kevin came up front, went directly to the elderly man and began offering him help. The other staff member who went outside, now came back inside and directed Kevin to help the next person in line. Kevin spoke to the next person in line, which was a man in front of me. That man asked if Kevin knew anything about motorcycles. Kevin said no. Then the man asked if there was anyone on duty who knew about motorcycles and could help him. Kevin went in the back and returned after a few minutes. At this point, Kevin looks at me and asks if I have been helped. I told him I had not and that I would need assistance putting the wiper blades on my mom's car. Kevin points outside the store towards the first staff member who was still helping the elderly gentleman and says, "Ask him to do it." I continued to stand in line and Kevin looked at me again and asked, "Have you checked out yet?" I answered no and he shrug his shoulders and said "Sorry" and walked away. I have no idea why the original cashier ever got on the intercom and called Kevin up front. The guy did not help a single person standing in line. Kevin accomplished absolutely NOTHING. I put the wiper blades down on the counter and left. I drove just about a block east on Stassney and came to this Advance Auto Parts store. I pulled in and before I could even walk to the aisle with the wiper blades, a young lady named Ann greeted me and offered assistance. I paid for the blades and they were installed on my mom's car all in a matter of minutes! There were about four other staff members present that I could see and each of them were assisting customers. The O'Reilly store a block down would seriously benefit from a course on customer service via the crew here at Advance Auto Parts. Ann was at the top of her game and I really appreciated her assistance. O'Reilly's? Not so much. read more

Both trips had very helpful employees, today was Moon who supervised me changing out my bulbs giving advice and saving me from a lot of frustration. I went to advanced auto parts yesterday to pick up some parts and glanced at the clearance rack. On said clearance rack I found a product with a red sticker on it indicating it has some sort of clearance price, although there was no specific price listed on it. I walked it to the counter and when it was rang up the computer had it listed for five cents. Now admittedly, this very well may have been an inputting error. I would have happily waited until another time when they'd had a chance to list the product with the correct price in the computer, but instead the "manager" (Carol? Carl?) rudely interjected stating "there [was] no chance I'd be buying this item for $.05". The way the manager handled the situation was curt, aggressive, and downright unprofessional. She snatched the item from my hand repeating over and over that "y here's no way she will be selling this to me because it was obviously a mistake." Now although this may be true, this item was obviously not getting sold otherwise, so I failed to see the harm in having sold it. I was disgusted with her handling of the situation, and was seconds from leaving when... ...Another employee - Lee - saved the day. Lee did a miraculous job at salvaging the situation. He quickly defused the situation with a big smile and a hearty laugh. His professionalism stood in stark contrast to that of his boss's (or boss's lack thereof) . He is the only reason I will be returning to advanced auto parts ever again. In fact, I did return later that same day where he very respectfully apologized for the events that took place earlier that day. He even had the decorum and class to come to his managers defense, stating that she was just having a rough day. Thanks, Lee. You're a shining example of customer service and hospitality. Keep doing you! Also, shout out to Kevin - another very helpful employee who helped salvage my experience after Carl tried to desecrate it. read more

I go to start my car and nothing. ARGH I do the baking soda trick (the battery terminals were corroded) and the car starts. I decide to play it safe and get a new battery. A saint named Alfredo works at this store. He tells me about a couple of batteries. I chose one. He takes it to my car and apparently the situation is BAD (the various customers that past by and freaked out at the sight of it repeatedly confirm this). The battery was missing one of the covers (i am CERTAIN i know where that happened) and the acid had been splashing out and pretty much ruined the terminals. He tells me that he'll replace the battery, but that I need to go somewhere to get the terminals replaced. I ask him if he can recommend someone since I don't know where to go. He says yes. Next thing I know he disappears into the store and gets all the stuff I need to fix the problem. He spent a good 1/2 hr to 45 minutes with all he had to do. He told me that he was concerned someone would take advantage of me if I went elsewhere (I'm sure he's right). So now my battery is fixed. I have brand new terminals and everything is cool. I tried to give him money for his time and he refused it. Like I said, a saint. read more

The service at this location on Stassney is amazing! I've dealt with the staff there 3 times, recently and each one was very professional, but I must compliment Mark specifically. I bought some wheel covers online for store pickup.. which went very smoothly, they were ready within an hour. However, I found that they were the wrong size when I went to put them on a couple of days later. So, I measured my wheel and went back for a larger size. The salesman was very kind, and was able to do an exchange, even tho I didn't have the card I'd used in my wallet at the time. Then, when I got home to put them on the next day, I couldn't figure out how to make them fit, so I went back to the store after calling to make sure they were open on July 4 (Thank you Advance Auto for being open!) The salesman there, Mark, said he'd be glad to help me put the wheel cover on.. however, when he tried, it was apparent that I'd traded for the wrong size. I had measured the wheel and gotten 17 inch wheel covers.. when I needed 16 inch. Mark was SO kind and didn't even smirk or roll his eyes when he kindly explained that the diameter of the wheel was written right there on the tire!! What a great human! Well, after buying the final set of wheelcovers, he put them on for me, and executed a second return. Thank you Advance Auto on Stassney! You guys are great! read more

This place is horrible. I've recently dealt with this junk of a place 3 times this week and have all been bad experiences! GO TO AUTO ZONE! They have rude employees who have no care for the customer. I tried to do a survey on my first bad experience and the survey didn't work. Then I sent fb a message and they were supposed to have someone call me, never happened. Then I was supposed to have my parts delivered by 5 pm today and I call and they have nothing in their system that it was ordered! I will never deal them then ever again. They should but shut down for not knowing how to run a professional business! read more

This place (& Ruben) saved me today!! My car wouldn't start this morning. Zero power . So managed to get a jump and drove here. There was a lot of corrosion so replacing my battery turned into a major chore. But it was done without a complaint and my car is now running again. Fantastic customer service... I just learned how much they charge for auto parts compared to a garage. Amazing! The internet generally seems to be a little cheaper for some items, but the customer service if there's a problem makes it much simpler to buy at the store. Especially if you're not handy at fixing cars. read more

This place is AMAZING. and Jonathan that works here, you deserve a raise. I was put out trying to get my headlight fixed and had been ignoring it forever after they told me at Willie's it was an electrical issue and Pep Boys sold me the wrong light. I was feeling bitter to say the least. I went into Advanced hoping to get the correct light so I could get my husband to fix it. WELL, they told me they would fix it for me. Jonathan spent about half an hour out in the heat taking the battery out of my car and fixing the corrosion (Walmart did not do a great install, apparently) and installing the new light. He had a great attitude about it and was really honest. I will continue to go to their store for my auto needs. and so should you. read more

I was on their website and purchased some wiper blades because they were 15% off. I went to the store to pick up the blades and when I got there, I was chided for ordering them online, "how much did you really save from ordering online?" when I said 15%, he gave me a dirty look....the whole store is covered in "buy online and pick up in store" and I'm chided for doing just that. Walt saved the day! I came in for power steering fluid and ended up needing a entirely new power steering fluid reservoir. I thought I was going to be stranded at Advanced Auto but Walt literally put together my reservoir and sealed it with poxy. Well enough for me to refill it with fluid and make it home. He and the other employees were all calling around to see of any auto part stores nearby had the reservoir and no one had what I needed but I still really appreciated it. But they soon had me on my way and I couldn't thank them enough. Awesome staff. Thanks again Walt! read more

I went in to get a battery for my car and they quoted me $169.99 so I asked if they had a cheaper battery as I'm used to paying around $70. He tells me to go across the street (middle aged guy w/ glasses at computer) to Auto Zone and they should have one. I go across the street to Auto Zone and he (Victor Ochoa) quoted me the same thing and they have 2 in stock. He leaves and then comes back and tells me they don't have ANY in stock. So I said that he should contact corporate to ensure they update their inventory system. So I go back across the street to Advanced Auto Parts to get the $169.99 battery and the guy fumbles with the battery forever and it takes him forever to get the battery out and then can't even screw it back in right so I just tell him to give me the parts and I'll do it myself. Just screw back in the terminals so I can get my car running and leave. I would've went out of my way to give them business for treating me right (was passing by and stopped but don't live over there), but after experiencing this I will NEVER go back to this place and will tell EVERYONE to steer very clear of this store. Worst service ever and their business will suffer from it. GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for nothing. I will screw it back in myself.
