A huge mahalo to Advanced A/C and their team for handling a recent installation project at my Uncle's (who's in his 90's) home. Given that I live out-of-state, Kammie (Estimator & VP) was kind enough to accommodate a virtual walk through, as well as provide her recommendations for the project. Stay away. Called to buy 4 split systems, after 3 calls finally got a call back, then I was told they just got my second or third message, not my problem. Then the estimator scheduled a visit for a quote on a monday, no one ever showed up, super unprofessional, then i got a text days later saying then could come and do the estimate on their time not mine, stay the hell away!!!!! read more

I would highly recommend using Advanced A/C. We had an old central air unit that died after 20 yrs and Advanced installed a new Bosch unit. Kammie was very professional and also very helpful and creative in suggesting a new way to orientate the new unit that would make servicing in the future easier. She also arranged for us to receive an energy rebate for the unit. The crew arrived on time as scheduled and completed that work in two days. The crew were very polite and respectful of our property. They covered all the furniture exposed with plastic and used dropclothes everywhere they walked. They even vacuumed our rug after they removed the dropcloths. They also cleaned their work area in the carport and blew out the entire work area when they finished. In this day and age it is very rare to find this kind of service. We are very happy with the installation service and looking forward to having a new A/C. read more

We live in a tropical paradise...but with that, it can be hot and humid! I purchased my first Mitsubishi system 6 years ago when I had a one bedroom apartment. My condo rules where challenging and I got estimates from other contractors. Kammie came to my unit and immediately won my trust and sold me on their products and services. I was impressed on many levels. One - the duct work and how it would look aesthetically. Her suggestions surpassed all others. Two - how would we handle the condensation off my balcony considering the associations strict guidelines. Three - quality of unit and price. I was ecstatic with my system they installed to cool my whole unit. I have since sold that condo but purchased a home in Waipio two years ago. I really needed their help again. Last year, in Nov of 2018, I was able to contract with them for my home. I am now comfortably cool with another Mitsubishi system and a service contract too! I am a business owner that works seven days a week. I want to keep my system maintained and don't want to remember one more thing I have to schedule. They will keep track of that for me! This is a long review, but worth the read if you're spending $4000 on a A/C system! =) Great family owned business going back over 20+years. We worked with Kammi for our 18,000 BTU split A/C unit and Elma for the paperwork. Our job was an extremely challenging one but the guys did an outstanding job! I wish I could tell you their names, but they were friendly and more importantly, they chose to do more work for a cleaner install result. (Instead of taking the easy route) We wanted the evaporator on the 2nd floor, but the compressor needed to be on the ground floor over 60 feet away. They had two options. (1)Run the pipes and covers on the outside of the house, or (2) crawl into a 6-18 inch tall attic with dust and rat droppings to feed the pipes through PVC over 30 feet away; yeah pain in the butt! Professional quality installation and excellent service! One of the guys remarked, "I wouldn't do a sloppy job on my own house, so I'm not going to do it to yours." Which is the kind of attitude that is rare and more treasured than a Bruno Mars ticket from the stadium. Kammi did the site inspection on May 20th. She got the quote back to me on the next business day, a few days later. They are very busy during summer months so we were looking at an install date of mid to late July, which is 100% expected. (We're not the only ones on Oahu that want A/C!) We got lucky with a quick install date of June 14th, just in time for the thick Kilauea vog that's coming for Fathers Day weekend. I can't guarantee they'll be able to do a sooner install for you, but the point is that they try. When the guys were done with the install of the new unit, they also agreed to serviced two other split units that are over 20 years old. Yes, they sell and install A/C units, but it's the customer service and the customer relations that make a company top notch. And yes, something as simple as bottled water, Zippys Chili, and rice for lunch is a good way to say thank you to the workers on a hot day. My coworker told me about Advanced A/C and how he had them install a split ac in his house and his brothers house. I had been wanting to do this for quite awhile but most companies i had come out where very expensive and where pushing me to buy bigger ac compressors that i did not think i needed. So i had Kammie come out and she thought it was best i install the compressors below my main deck and mount them upon my cement wall where they would be away from from rain and off the ground all tucked away. The piping and wiring would be much shorter with her concept which I thought was a great idea one which none of the other companies ever suggested. Kammie also notice my house was not that hot and remommended only a 14,000 btu for my living room and 9,000 btu for my bedrooms which was much closer to what i had in window ac units. While she was checking out my breaker panel she noticed my one breaker was very hot and told me i needed to get this fixed asap. I asked her if she had a electrician and she said she would get ahold of him for me. The next day he was there with a new breaker and showed me where my breaker was starting to burn away. So after this i could tell kammie was a very sharp person and i could see why my co worker recommended them to me. This install went without any issues. All the conduit was perfectly done and the ac system works great and is more cold than i will ever need. Also there price was far cheaper than any one else that i had come over. Best of all they referred by a another a/c company who didn't service my type of a/c.. This should be the first company you call while you are doing your research. It's been over three months since my last review of Advanced AC. No return calls or any effort to solve my central AC problem. My landlord have up on them and already sent two different AC vendors to survey and provide a cost estimate to replace the entire system that Advanced AC failed to repair. I would give this company a ZERO but it's not allowed on Yelp. I do not recommend this company if yours looking for central AC repair. If they can't fix it, I would not trust them to install a new central AC system. read more

2 years ago (2017) Advanced AC installed our split system AC in our condo, as they gave an excellent bid (but not the lowest) and had great reviews, unlike the lowest bidder. Their team was excellent, extremely diligent, clean, professional and efficient. Not a single fingerprint or smudge, excellent installation. I had to call them this year as our compressor had to be removed from our lanai for painting, and again they went above my expectations in accommodating our needs. They are very reasonably priced, so I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of AC work or installation. We're doing a complete renovation of the interior of the house right now- windows, paint, doors, and AC as well as buying new furniture. The hubby really wanted AC but for me I saw it more as a luxury versus a necessity but I agreed to see how much it would cost. My part was to research and his part was to talk with the company. I researched a few companies on Yelp as well as the BBB and my criteria was that the estimate had to be free (some places actually charge), company had to have a clean slate with the BBB, and they had to be licensed. When I called Advanced AC, I spoke to Kammie and we set up an appt. At the free consultation, she and Dwayne showed up on time. They spent maybe about an hour talking about different options. Their service was pretty good and they were pleasant and assuring. They answered our multiple questions (mold on AC, Mitsubishi warranty, rebate, how to clean the system, how many units to a condenser, where should we put the condenser, etc.). A couple of days later we got the quote. We went back and forth with a few more questions and her customer service was excellent. And then we decided to hold off for a few months, as we had to get our windows and paint done. We called her and she remembered us. Once again, we had lots of questions. She took our multiple questions in stride. Then we solidified the date. Then the night before, hubby changed his mind and emailed Kammie the changes. Kammie called the next morning to confirm. The company finished the job in two days. We also asked that at least Kammie and Dwayne were on the job and they were. The hubby and I went back to look and they did a great job. Everything looked fantastic. So overall, I myself, a disbeliever in AC would recommend Advanced AC and Kammie and Dwayne. They are patient, responsive and the job looked excellent. Also the Mitsubishi units are fantastic. They are quiet, more resistant to mold than window ACs, and are easy to clean. The next review would be CCI for our windows. read more

I called to get an estimate about having someone come out to look at our central AC system since we've been having issues. Since they are located in Honolulu they want to charge us $85 per hour including the time it takes them to get from Honolulu to Ewa. Basically if they have to sit in traffic we have to pay them for their inconvenience. This is absurd and obviously we will keep looking. The person on the phone was very polite but a policy to charge someone per hour before you get to their house to even look at the system is absolutely ridiculous. read more

They called me back set up an appointment and came to my home to do an estimate. They were very resourceful and offered several options in cooling off my rooms. Spoke with several AC contractors and as I was doing essentially the whole house I wanted a firm that would do the work in a timely, quality, and reliable manner. Came down to 2 firms and neither was the cheapest nor the most expensive. In the end we went with Advanced AC and as it turned out it was a very good decision. Kammie provided the estimate and while I thought we could do w/ less capacity (read less cost) I am very happy that we deferred to her recommendations as the recent hot and humid weather (90 degrees/90% humidity) has validated the recommendations. The installation crew was excellent! Timely, professional, and the quality of their work everything I had hoped for. They worked extra hard to complete the job and I am a very satisfied customer.
