I asked her what it was but mispronounced the name. She smilled & politely corrected me then told me what it was. The guy behind us in line told us it was amazing so we ordered it. My hubby got yhr Arabic coffee (made in sand) I got a salted Carmel latte. It cost $44. The Kunafa was absolutely to die for! We shared 1 & in thankful because it's too much for me. The sweet sauce with the salty cheese & crunch of the philo are a perfect combination. Our coffee was strong, just how we like it. We had great service & food. Definitely coming back for icecream. My only suggestion is maybe a sign by the road that you're open late.

The decor gives off an old-fashioned ice cream parlor feel that fits perfectly with the area and makes the experience a little more memorable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions and help us decide on flavors. We ended up ordering the Sea Salt Cream & Cookies on a cone, and it was delicious. Creamy, rich, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely one of those flavors you'll be thinking about long after you've finished it. If you're in Solvang and looking for a sweet treat, this is a great stop. Friendly service, charming atmosphere, and some really tasty ice cream. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

I suppose this is a great place to check out if you are looking for Danish style chocolates and licorice items, but not sure if it's much better than other chocolate shops for regular chocolates. Main difference with Danish chocolates is that they use marzipan (almond meal & sugar) as one of the ingredients. I'm not a big fan of marzipan so just ended up getting some peanut butter cups and assorted regular chocolates. They were quite good but pricey. Also got a gift box of nut cluster chocolates to share with my coworkers.

I then went to check out their back area and oh my they had quite an assortment of Dutch licorice, I was in heaven! I like salty licorice, less sweet and more salty with a good licorice bite and also found one of the brands I really like. I also tried another I did know, just to see what it was like. The brand I am used to I am saving for later as I know what it tastes like. The new brand I got is a bit more sweet than I like but I still like it and it was good I tried it. This is a great shop if youre looking for Dutch style licorice. They also have plenty of award winning chocolates too and a lot of people showed up after I entered and all ordering their chocolates. It's a cute little shop with no tables inside, but a nice outdoor area, that is shared with the other businesses surrounding it. They had a lot of great flavors, but my daughter and I decided on Pistachio - it was really good. Nice and creamy with a great pistachio flavor! Alessio Artisanal Gelato prides themselves on real ingredients, real flavors and real fun. They also offer new flavors every week! Staff were also really friendly and helpful too!
