We had our fireplace and chimney inspected and cleaned out on December 18th, 2015 and burned fires all winter long with zero issues or house fire scares. Aelite is THE chimney company to have come out to your home. Nick and crew are insanely professional and clean. They took their shoes off without even asking, threw down tarps around all areas to be worked, and definitely did not take us for our money. As a matter of fact, I remember getting quoted double from another company at the same time for the same work. Nick's wife is the one who usually answers the phone and she's pretty incredible too! We scheduled a cleaning in our new home and were delivered news that our entire fireplace was rusted and needed to be replaced. This is also our 2nd time using them. The 1st was several years ago to rebuild a cracked chimney cap. The new one was still in fine shape until a wind storm several weeks ago broke a tree off and it fell against the cap and fulcrum-ed against the edge of the roof line actually swiveling that heavy cement cap & breaking the flue liner. Nick and his crew replaced it with a stainless double-walled liner and poured a new cap. They also disconnected and reconnected our gas insert. Their business card says "Experience A Whole New Level of Service". This is completely true. They take pride in their work, are great to work with and meticulous in their work and clean-up. During our first winter in this home we noticed a ton of cold air coming out of the fireplace - so I called Aelite based on yelp reviews. They came out and gave my chimney and fireplace a thorough inspection and helped to repair my broken flu. My home is now much warmer, and even better they showed me how to use the fireplace (I've never used a gas insert before). Our chimney needs some work (something we knew prior to buying the home) and during their inspection they noticed that too, as well as provided me with a free estimate to repair it so that I could compare it to other quotes I was seeking. We called Aelite to install a chimney cover and flashing because squirrels were getting into the chimney and getting trapped by our water heater (very exciting releasing them, let me tell you). The serviceman took before pictures to show us the issues with our chimney, suggested an inexpensive additional repair (our roofer hadn't replaced the flashing around the chimney when they redid the roof, and it could leak), showed us an after picture, and checked the inside our chimney connections where he pulled out a squirrel we missed, and who had perished as a result. Price was absolutely right, service was terrific, and I wouldn't hesitate to call Aelite with any future chimney needs. read more
