This review is long overdue! I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The owner and the staff are amazing and super friendly. I'm a petite girl so essentially that means I get ALL of my clothes tailored and this is where I go to get them done. I live in Beverly Hills and I will go out of my way to Glendale and get them done here. I trust no one else! PERIOD! What I love about them: 1. They are reasonably price 2. They really listen to what you want done. If it's not exactly done right the first time, they'll fix it right away without any extra charge. 3. They were so professional, helpful, kind and quick here! I found them randomly because halfway into a 1.5 hour drive, I looked down and realized that my linen pants had a giant hole along the seam in the crotch. Mortified, I pulled over and looked up the closest seamstress shop, and found AF Golden Cleaners. They weren't phased at all when I awkwardly waddled in with my purse clutched in front of me and said, "Hi, this is such a weird question, but I have a giant rip in my pants and don't have a change of clothes. Could I possibly hide in your dressing room, give you the pants and wait in there while you fix the pants and I'll pay you?" They immediately took my pants and reassured me it was no problem, and I think I had only waited for 5 minutes before they gave the pants back to me, good as new! I asked how much I owed them, but they waved their hand and said it wasn't necessary. Truly so kind, and instantly they made my day better!!! After a lot of research on the web, I brought my wedding dress, veil, jacket and belt in for cleaning and preservation at AF Golden Cleaners, and I was not disappointed. I spoke with Art at the front desk, and after seeing the dress, he gave me a quote and told me when I could expect to pick up my dress. The dress was ready on time and was packaged well in a preservation box that could be opened with a clear window to see my dress. The dress was packaged with a cardboard bust with the belt and jacket displayed as it was when I wore it. It also came with a shipping box, in case I need to ship it in the future. I also had my husband's tuxedo cleaned here at the same time, at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with the quality of service I received, and would highly recommend AF Golden Cleaners! read more

They have an incredible staff and very reasonable prices. I have taken them a vintage coat with a fur collar to be laundered and they did an amazing job with a very special and fragile piece of clothing. Additionally, they helped me alter a gown for a photo shoot by adding a new lace-up bodice to close it in the back instead of the zipper that came with the dress. Janett is amazing! I had a very complicated bridesmaid dress to alter - too big yet too small in all the wrong places - and with very little time to do it. She altered my dress as if it was made just for me. I even ended up going back the day before the wedding to have straps sewn in and she did them at no charge and very quickly. AF Cleaners & Alterations is great. They were very affordable, super friendly and very easy to converse with. I would recommend them to anyone with a need for alterations. This was my second time bringing my alterations to AF Golden Cleaners, and I couldn't be happier. I ordered a bridesmaid dress two sizes larger than normal on the possibility of being pregnant. I ended up being 21 weeks pregnant the date of the wedding. Since I had no idea how large I would be at that point, I waited until just a few weeks before the wedding to get my alterations. I had three alterations including tightening the shoulder straps, tightening the sides of the bodice top, and a double layer hem. Altogether I spent $70 on my alterations. Over my experiences with getting bridesmaid dresses altered, I've spent $70 on a hem alone. This is an excellent alterations place. They are quick, excellent, and affordable. I will continue to bring all my alterations business there in the future. read more

When I bought my dress they gave me the wrong size:/ My parents ALWAYS bring their stuff here for cleaners and for tailoring. So they suggested that I take my dress here for them to fix. I couldn't sleep all night I was so worried! But I had nothing to worry about cause my dress came out AMAZING! They turned the back into a corset! And it was beautiful. Prom is a big deal. Bad customer service, if they damage your item they are not going to take responsibility for what happened. I gave my new coat for alteration when I got it back, back of my coat was completely damaged, when I took it back they just denied it. steam was too hot damaged completely back of my coat.He said this didn't happen here??!! This is a great business with great service. I assume that it is owner operated because they take a lot of pride in their work. Do not bring your clothes here if you want to wear them again. They do not know what they are doing or how to do their jobs. They don't understand how to handle different materials, especially silk. They completely ruined a $360 handmade silk flower sash by starching and pressing it, completely ruining the silk, form and texture. They also ruined a silk shirt by pressing it and causing the label to be burnt/imprinted on the shirt. And when confronted with the problems or issues they offered no recourse, money back, or apologies and claimed that it was not their fault and there was nothing they could do. And when we requested to get the clothes that have not been completed back, they said it's already been sent out and there's nothing they can do. I'm praying they don't ruin those clothes! A dry cleaner is supposed to understand how to handle delicate, special material...that's why we entrust them with our expensive clothes. This place failed! I encourage you to NOT try this place ever! read more
