I have been a repeat customer of Affordable Used Appliances over the course of 6 years. However their quality of service has gone downhill. On the most recent occasion, they sent a fridge that did not work, and though they replaced it eventually, their movers dropped the fridge on my tiled floor and damaged the floor in 3 places. After I reported the damage, eventually all communication from the company ceased and they have not even gone so far as to offer a refund for delivery. They sent someone to inspect my property who told me it was "normal wear and tear" and my fault ?!? read more

Buyer beware ! I bought a washing machine about a yr or so ago and the motor caught on fire with the first wash load. They brought another, OLDER ONE which i was not happy about, however this one had to be replaced within a few days due to the spin bucket not working correctly and making a LOT of noise slamming into the side of the washer. Even when empty.. The 3rd one is still going but doesnt sound right in spin mode in my opinion. Not worth sending it back, it works. I ordered a dishwasher recently, and looking at it when it came in the door, the front was NOT the same as what i ordered, there was no dial on it and it looked very old. Below you see what was inside this 200$ dishwasher. Near $300 w tax and delivery. The water goes up the side there, so this model is at least late 70s early 80s. There is no cover for food the food trap and the heat element looks like a fire hazard. The handle was even lose. I refused delivery and you lost a customer. The delivery guys were super nice, polite and very professional. I feel bad they work for such criminals. they didnt look surprised at all when i said this was junk and it looked like it came right out of someone elses house. Came here after doing some research online and I was greeted by Jesse, he went above and beyond helping me for over 30 minutes! I did not see a washer and dryer set that was listed online so he called the Evans Ave. Store and I was able to purchase the set at this location. Which was extremely useful. In the day of delivery the 2 guys were super friendly and fast. They installed everything and even bent the old dryer duct exhaust. The delivery guys were truly so respectful of my home and adement on answering all my questions. Doesn't hurt that one was pretty hot lol. Only 4 stars because: The washer dryer set was $299 instead of $250 as they were listed online. They did not deliver the set the day I had set up- but 2 days later. It took 6 days for them to deliver the set. Which would be fine if that was what I agreed to for $60. Which also isn't bad if it comes on the day agreed upon. Also, the washer arrived dirty with lots of dust on it and leaves inside. Overall I think it was a good experience and I would go there again. Their sales rep Jesse was really helpful and patient and like I said the delivery men were great, so it made for a pleasant interaction. Let's see how the appliances hold up. read more

We had Sam, the general manager help us with finding a used top load wash/dryer set. Sam is one of those guys that makes you feel like you are doing something way cooler than buying a wash/dryer, his help was fantastic and very informative. He walked thru all our questions, helped us get set up for delivery and install with the electrical components and was extremely kind. We ended up getting a used hot point washer/dryer with delivery, set up and taxes for $493 We have a 30 day warranty which we can add another year on for $50. The only thing I would improve is that we could get it delivered sooner but they are pretty popular it seems so no fault to anyone there. I spent twenty minutes with my daughter looking at refrigerators, we were the only customers, not one person acknowledged us. After looking a while I sat on a hard back chair right out on the floor. Upon talking finances, we were informed the fridge we wanted (listed on their website) wasn't available, however, a more expensive one was! We were told we would be sent a picture of the more expensive fridge ONLY after I paid for it; a picture was never sent and I was rushed off the phone after paying. Not to mention, I had to provide my CVV security code which I found odd. When I hesitated before giving it to him, he said it was required for placing an order over the phone. I was also assured that even though our 'official' delivery wasn't for two weeks, they could deliver it much sooner, during a window/gap of time between their other deliveries. I was advised to be on standby for their call which could be "at a moments notice". So I (stupidly) paid and the money was instantly taken out of my bank. We received an automated email the night prior to the scheduled/official delivery which said the delivery person is "required" to call customers from their "personal cell" and verify the address and time-window. No information at all pertaining to the delivery person was included on the email, even though it stipulated to direct all inquiries to said delivery person. We then waited all day Saturday for this mystery fridge that was never delivered and the phone call that never happened. Over an hour before they were supposed to close that day, I called to see what was going on; they didn't answer the "Nick" number on their website nor their business number. They then proceeded not to answer either numbers all weekend, despite their website claiming they were open. When they finally decided to answer the phone, I simply said, "I ordered a fridge that never arrived" and the staff member proceeded to get loud and rude, demanding I tell him the number associated with the order. Needless to say, instead of being scolded at for inquiring about a purchase they failed to deliver, I hung up and called my bank instead. I know the prices seem great, but unfortunately, it appears to be one of those 'too good to be true' scenarios. Save yourself the time, headache, CC claims, and hostility, and just stay the heck away from this 'front' of a business. read more

Bought a used washer and it stopped draining two days after. Exchanged for another one. Two months later three pieces of it broke. Called with questions about parts for it. Absolutely no help. Told me to bring the parts in. Did that and person on staff only knew part of what we needed. Told us he would talk to manager on Monday and call us back. No call Monday, or Tuesday even after leaving a message. Finally got someone on the line Wednesday. And got major attitude from clerk. Called "President Hotline". Got voicemail with leave a message and they will call you back within 1 business day. Here it is one week later and no call. They do not care about customers, how they treat them or selling you a product that won't cost you a fortune. Gold diggers and that is all! read more

The fridge we purchased here stopped working 2.5 weeks after we bought it. We called them and they told us to order replacement parts, which we did. When those did not fix the problem, they said there was nothing else they could do for us. It's unfortunate to throw $370 down the drain and more unfortunate that the were not willing to offer an exchange or refund of any kind. I do not recommend buying appliances from here. read more

I needed a used dishwasher this week, and had two shops in mind to check out. I went to Affordable Used Appliances first, and Jesse helped me with my purchase. He was friendly, helpful and flexible with my stated budget. The optional warranty I purchased for $50 (for a year) made me feel more comfortable about buying a used appliance, although this shop inspects and repairs everything they obtain before putting items on the sales floor. Because of their excellent prices and great service, I didn't even go to the second shop to comparison shop. I am very happy with my purchase and feel comfortable that even a minor problem with the dishwasher will be addressed via a repair or a complete replacement of the machine, should sometihng arise this next year. read more

Best place everrrrr! My washer gave out on me and leaked all over my laundry room, and left my clothes covered in suds! I didn't want to put the effort into paying to have someone diagnose and repair, when it would have cost the same to replace it. I found Affordable Used Appliances on google, gave them a call, and Carlos assured me I could find something affordable and could have it delivered, and get the old broken down washer hauled away leaving me nothing to worry about. Sure enough, went in the next day and Carlos hooked it up with a great buy for a great price, and set up delivery in an extremely timely manner considering the holidays!
