WOW. So I had a medical appointment up in Westerville & as usual, due to health issues, couldn't eat before it -- which means I would be hungry & cranky by the time it was over. Husband came with me, and we were trying to find a reasonably inexpensive restaurant with good food. A quick search turned up a lot of *expensive* restaurants in the Polaris area, and restaurants that we weren't into at that point, but then I saw Agape' listed right near the Ohio Health offices up there. So I did what any sane hungry person would do -- I asked the nurses & techs at Ohio Health who were involved in the procedure, "Hey, that Agape place nearby? Any good?" (seriously, medical people are going to know the good eateries nearby -- they get a ton of delivery because they're always busy & they aren't going to mess around with a crappy eating place for their lunch breaks). I got an immediate "OH HELL YEAH" and enthusiastic recommendations from not only the folks who were involved in my medical stuff, but also the desk staff, other nurses/techs, etc etc. That's an amazing sign -- a place that gets immediate "OH MY GOD YES" when you ask folks at random if it's any good. So, my medical procedure over, we went to Agape'. OH MY GOD, YES. OH HELL YEAH. First, it's a chain, but it's a LOCAL chain, founded & based here in Columbus OH with only a few locations around the city at the moment. They seem to have focused on taking over the old/defunct Chipotle locations (Chipotle's mostly gone belly-up here), and repurposing it for their Greek/Mediterannean concept. Let me be clear for the folks in the back: AGAPE' IS NOT OWNED BY CHIPOTLE & HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. They're Columbus-local, & MORE POWER TO THEM. Agape' works like Chipotle -- select your base (salad, fresh pita bread, bowl), select your protein, select your sauces/spreads, load up on the fillings, and DAMMIT GET THE GREEK FRIES, THEY'RE SO FREAKIN' AWESOME...:cough: sorry. So both Husband and I had pita gyros with various different fillings and then made the "mistake" of ordering 2 portions of Greek Fries, one for each of us. FYI, those portions are BIG. One order of Greek Fries is more than enough for two people, but who cares, we've got leftover Greek Fries in the fridge for a snack later... :cough: sorry. The food is that good. We had to wait a bit for fresh pita (but who cares? FRESH HOT PITA!!!), all the fillings & protein & THOSE FRIES were fresh, hot, tasty, filling & just go ahead and add any other complimentary adjectives here, because Agape' deserves it. They took the Chipotle concept, improved it, ran with it, and GOD, I hope they succeed & stay the course, because I have regular medical stuff up in Westerville, and I really need a good inexpensive place to eat after those appointments are done. (My only minimal gripe -- no Clintonville location. Yet. The Westerville location is about 20 minutes up the road for us; the next closest seems to be out in Gahanna. But don't rush to expand, Agape' -- expanding too fast, too soon can sink a business hard. Take your time & focus on that glorious Greek food. AND THOSE FRIES.) Recently tried this Mediterranean spot! It's similar to a chipotle style build your own which I love! I ended up ordering a salad w gyro/ lamb and lots of veggies. Then topped it off with roasted red pepper sauce and taziki. The portion size was reasonable for the price which i appreciate (10.95). I do think they will do better with better advertising..but that is their choice. Clean location. Awesome staff. I got a bowl with white rice, gyro meat, chickpeas, black olives, feta, house sauce. I am probably forgetting some things. But it was to die for. I will say, I usually do not love this type of food, but I was pleasantly surprised. I also got a salted caramel cookie, HOLY YUM!! Agape is pretty good! A more inexpensive option to Brassica with generous helpings! As most Greek restaurants, this place has really yummy fries! I usually get the falafel bowl with a salad or lentil base, it's not the best falafel I get, but it's pretty good. The sauces make the bowl for sure! I alternate between the roasted red pepper & green shug. They also have a unique offering of juices and teas that change out seasonally so those are fun To try! The service is good, it's the fast casual style so the line moves quickly (which is good when you have a toddler with you) This dining space is not the most comfy but they've got low and high tops and high chairs if you need them! read more

I know this has been here for a few years at least but I only recently decided to stop in when I needed a meat-free quick bite. My first order was the falafel on the rice and lentils. Not only was the falafel probably one of the best ones I've ever hard, but something in that bowl was practically magical. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, the garlicy house sauce maybe? The sauce with the banana peppers? Something in the lentils? I don't know maybe it was the perfect harmony created by all the ingredients together but I was over the moon with that dinner. I've also tried the chicken shawarma and gyro which was just as delicious. Eating in was great because I love when casual dining places have a few flavors of iced teas, lemonades and fruity drinks. A fantastic quick and fresh lunch spot! They are located in a new shopping plaza. Everything is very clean and new. I got the falafel bowl with basmati rice, baba, all the toppings, and house sauce. Falafel and rice were warm. Both were cooked perfectly, flavors were as expected. The baba had a delicious smoked flavor. All of the veggies were so fresh and crunchy. I could've filled my bowl completely full with the cucumbers. The spicy feta mezze lived up to the hype. Not to mention you get a ton for under $5! Only complaint would be it doesn't come with nearly enough pita. The portions were generous. Mediterranean is one of my favorite ethnic foods, so I was excited to try this grab and go version in the Polaris area. The restaurant is located in a new shopping complex, the inside was clean and there was a variety of seating options (both inside and outside). The menu is pretty self explanatory -- you pick your base (bowl, pita or salad), then go through the line picking your toppings. The flavors were good, however I was expecting more generous portion sizes compared to pictures I had seen (especially the protein). When I asked for an extra scoop of spicy feta, I was told that would be extra which was disappointing especially when paying $10 for the bowl. It's set up in a build your meal style, where you choose from a pita, salad, or bowl. From there you add your Proteins, sauces, and toppings. Both of us had salads. Mine was half chicken schwarma, half falafel with tzaziki and a good mix of their Greek style toppings. It was very fresh, filling, and delicious. My only complaint would be with my falafel. I'm not sure what I did not like about it (as I am a huge fan of falafel), but something in the flavor I did not enjoy. I do recommend the chicken schwarma, and plan to come back to try the gyro as well. Over all the Place was very clean, the workers were very nice, and we had a great visit. After having attended a Yelp event here previously, we knew this is exactly where we wanted to return when we found ourselves in the area. This time, we placed an online order before we left our previous destination, and we were quoted 12 minutes until it was ready. It ended up being even quicker than that, and we received notification of such as we were still driving over. There were two mobile order parking spots available directly in front of the restaurant (with plenty of additional parking available in the shopping center lot), and when we ran in for the food, it was neatly packaged and ready to go in the section waiting for Door Dash and other pick-ups, clearly labeled. The online ordering and pick up were a breeze. Food-wise, Agape offers an opportunity to build your own Mediterranean dish with a selection of bases (pita, salad, or bowl with either just rice or rice and lentils), a selection of proteins or veggies or falafel, and a lot of fresh toppings and sauces to add. We opted for a pita with chicken shawarma and the spicy feta plus toppings and a pita with gyro and tzatziki plus toppings, plus an order of fries and another of Greek fries, which adds the house dressing and feta to the fries. The portion size on both fries was quite generous, and we probably could have just split one order. The employee even broke it down for us and explained the choices. First, you choose your base (pita $7.95, salad $9.25, bowl $9.25). You then choose your rice, I got half rice and half lentils. We got two separate bowls, one with shawarma chicken and one with greek chicken. You then choose your spreads, toppings, and sauces. They have so many options you'll just want everything. I highly recommend getting the pickled onions and cucumbers :) None of the flavors were overpowering another as you get a little taste of each. Agapé is a build-your-own Greek restaurant located in a very new-looking shopping center close to Polaris. It appears that they opened quite recently. I went at a very early dinner time (before 5pm) and the whole place was empty. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted and there was hand sanitizer for me to use. The restaurant staff were super friendly. Knowing it was my first time, the person who served me was extremely knowledgeable and offered helpful advice on what to get. I ended up getting half lentils+rice and half rice (mathematically, effectively 3/4 rice 1/4 lentils) with half chicken shawarma and half gyro because I wanted to try all the meats but didn't want to ask for a bit of everything! The flavors of both proteins were great and the toppings I got (cucumber+tomato, chickpeas, lettuce) tasted very fresh. The tahini and harissa sauces were both yummy as well and complemented the whole bowl perfectly. I also got an order of fries which came right off the fryer (as all fries should). Love that they're skin-on! Even though I went quite early, I am surprised they were completely empty. If you're ever visiting the Polaris/Westerville area, definitely give them a try! I built my own bowl with rice and lentils, Greek chicken, hummus, cabbage blend, tomato cucumber blend, and chickpeas topped with the house sauce. I also got a side of hummus and a small bag of pita chips. Super yummy! The house sauce is the most popular and I can see why - it went perfectly with the bowl contents. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. They have a few different house-made drinks. I can't remember the exact name of it, but I chose the hibiscus rose and it was delicious. Came in after only a week of being open. The service was top notch all the way. Very friendly and fast. This place is a Mediterranean Chipotle. You can pick wrap, salad or bowl, a number of different proteins, followed by a slew of vegetables. I tried to make a Greek salad with gyro meat. The lettuce/kale mix was very good (only time I can say I've ever enjoyed Kale). All the toppings were great, especially the spicy feta spread. The gyro meat was a bit bland, knocking the stars down from 5 to 4, but I am spoiled by Nikos in North Royalton. There was plenty to eat. I noticed at another table the patrons had a bag of toasted pita chips sprinkled with Zatar. When the manager came out to see how we liked everything, I made a suggestion that they use a suggestive sell at checkout for those chips, as I would have bought them had I been quick enough to connect the dots.
