    The house watermelon soju

The food was great , we ordered baked muscles they had a small spice to them that was new to us and it was a great twist. Everything we ate felt like it was made with great detail. We were recommend the house soju we go the watermelon flavored I would recommend to try it. The service was great they made us feel as part of the family. They played great music which created a nice ambiance.

We were looking forward to this restaurant and well, it disappointed in a couple ways. The waiters and waitress were very nice though I do believe they were short staffed as the ambiance was slightly busy but nothing crazy. We got a table and ordered (no prices on the menu - big sign) - a little bit later I received my food (no miso soup though) but it took 15 more minutes before my husband to receive his. And, what's the rule... you never eat until everyone has their plates. That's just flat rude. So, I waited, yes mine got cold. He finally received his food and it was a big platter. He was shocked because he didn't order that big of a platter. But, he ate it. The quality was good, but that's it. What are we going to do - send it back. I finally asked about the miso. Average soup and not so good. Needed something more but not sure what. Finally, lunch was coming to an end and I asked for the check. Let me just say that platter was not worth the $90 alone we got charged! No prices on the menu or not... not worth that price. Maybe $60 - and that's a hard maybe. I was out right shocked. I would have never guessed our bill was going to be $118 for what we received. I would not go back here because of that. I appreciate the staff for sure but after that - you only get one chance to make an impression on me. Nope, that's it. All in all not very impressed and wouldn't recommend. That's just my opinion.

I love this place!! If you are a spice addict like me then you'll appreciate this spot. Fun rolls and now they've extended their drink menu! I love the Latino vibe in there. And the staff is friendly and funny! They caught me teary eyed from eating my favorite spicy roll- dirty Hawaiian. It was hilarious! They warn me every time I order it lol

It was our first time trying Agua Chiles Sushi Bar today and it was amazing to say the least! The sushi was fresh and delicious! We got 6 rolls for $87.00 and it was a great deal! It was also happy hour so our beers were only $5! The best roll by far today for me was the Pancho Villa Roll! It was so good we ordered another one to take home! The customer service was excellent as well! Gabby took great care of us today! She answered all of our questions and gave great recommendations! We will definitely be going back! And we highly recommend this spot!

If you like sushi, this is your spot. The other day I went here with my wife (as we are both big on sea-food.) We went into this restaurant not expecting the delicious treat we had coming. Agua Chiles does an incredible job at having a trendy ambiance, and while enjoying tasty food. I highly recommend you go to agua chiles if youre big on sushi. Ivan D. was my server, and he did an outstanding job at providing fast service while keeping everyone on the table happy. I will be coming back to AguaChiles as soon as possible!

Went on a Friday with some friends from work we had a great time. The sushi was good we got a platter so we could all share and try different flavors ;) The miche was so tasty and it had a kick which I love. The vibe was great, the DJ played all kinds of music from hip hop, old school, and Spanish. They were also giving out complimentary champagne. We also tried the watermelon shots. The service was also amazing. Would definitely go again.

Just went here with my family the other day and had such a lovely time. The service was impeccable and especially by the waiter (our server) Ivan D! He accommodated greatly with our large party!

I was fighting a pretty rough hangover, and this bowl honestly brought me back to life. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and the spice level was just right. It had a nice kick without overpowering everything else. The first time I came here, I ordered the chicken karaage. Super crispy, juicy, and easily one of my favorite things on the menu. The restaurant itself is pretty small and cozy, which I liked. One thing to know is that the parking lot entrance is easy to miss if you're driving by on the main street. It's much easier to come in from the little street behind the plaza. If you're in the mood for ramen, I'd absolutely recommend giving Maru a try.

I don't eat pork, but I'm okay with pork broth, so I asked if I could substitute the pork chashu for chicken. What I received instead was popcorn chicken, which was unexpected and not at all what I had in mind. There was no communication that this would be the substitute, which made it even more frustrating. On top of that, I was still charged for it without any clarification beforehand. Transparency goes a long way, especially when making substitutions. Overall, between the lackluster flavor and the confusing substitution, it just didn't feel like a thoughtful or well-executed experience.

For example, the agedashi tofu came with vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, and cauliflower, which is quite unusual and not something I've seen in traditional Japanese preparation. The sashimi also tasted off -- it seemed like very low-quality fish, almost as if it had been frozen for too long. We also ordered a nabeyaki udon for our 2-year-old, knowing it's typically served in a very hot bowl. However, the server attempted to place it directly in front of our child without any hesitation or warning, which felt quite careless and concerning from a safety perspective. Overall, this didn't feel like authentic Japanese cuisine or sushi, but more of an unclear fusion concept. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience so others don't come in expecting high-quality or traditional Japanese food.

This is one of the few Mitsuwa that doesn't have a food court (San Gabriel is another one without). The premade food section was surprisingly pretty good, better options than the Torrance or Santa Monica locations, imo. They do carry the same poke bowl that is also sold at Torrance. The store closes at 9:00pm, so the premade food section is pretty much cleared out and the self checkout is closed by around 8:00pm. The late hours actually got the busiest because only one staffed cash register was open and customers had to get in line instead of the self checkout. The store is clean and spacious, lots of self checkouts that are open during the day, and the bathrooms were clean (just need to get the code from a staff member!). I came three times on a weekday, once a little after lunch and another right around 5:30 and then around 8:00. Parking was a breeze every time. They have plenty of parking adjacent to the store. The other side of the shopping center gets a little busy, but Mitsuwa is at the comfortable corner closest to the train tracks. Getting out of the parking lot can be challenging because Tampa is a busy street and some people try to make a left turn out (I have my opinions about that lol). If heading out towards CSUN, the shopping center also has two exits out to Nordhoff so that worked well for me. I was in the area for a few job interviews... If I am hired nearby I'm definitely coming to this Mitsuwa a lot :)
