We ordered the 911 roll, the Diabla rolls, and some sashimi, and everything was very good--the sauce on the Diabla roll was especially amazing! It did take a little while for our food to come out because there was only one person working the entire sushi bar, but honestly, the food was completely worth the wait. The food was great , we ordered baked muscles they had a small spice to them that was new to us and it was a great twist. Everything we ate felt like it was made with great detail. We were recommend the house soju we go the watermelon flavored I would recommend to try it. The service was great they made us feel as part of the family. We were looking forward to this restaurant and well, it disappointed in a couple ways. The waiters and waitress were very nice though I do believe they were short staffed as the ambiance was slightly busy but nothing crazy. We got a table and ordered (no prices on the menu - big sign) - a little bit later I received my food (no miso soup though) but it took 15 more minutes before my husband to receive his. And, what's the rule... you never eat until everyone has their plates. That's just flat rude. So, I waited, yes mine got cold. He finally received his food and it was a big platter. He was shocked because he didn't order that big of a platter. But, he ate it. The quality was good, but that's it. What are we going to do - send it back. I finally asked about the miso. Average soup and not so good. Needed something more but not sure what. Finally, lunch was coming to an end and I asked for the check. Let me just say that platter was not worth the $90 alone we got charged! No prices on the menu or not... not worth that price. Maybe $60 - and that's a hard maybe. I was out right shocked. I would have never guessed our bill was going to be $118 for what we received. I would not go back here because of that. I appreciate the staff for sure but after that - you only get one chance to make an impression on me. Nope, that's it. All in all not very impressed and wouldn't recommend. one star for waitress alyssa she needs to get it together. shes very disamissive. we asked her if the food was spicy she just noded and said no its not. then basically I was choking from how hot it was and she told me "hold on hold on" as I was burning up. It seems like she is pretty unhappy and brings down the vibe of the whole place. she needs training in hospitality. she will lie to you if you ask about something on the menu and pressures to take your menu so you won't order more. It was our first time trying Agua Chiles Sushi Bar today and it was amazing to say the least! The sushi was fresh and delicious! We got 6 rolls for $87.00 and it was a great deal! It was also happy hour so our beers were only $5! The best roll by far today for me was the Pancho Villa Roll! It was so good we ordered another one to take home! The restaurant itself isn't overwhelmingly big so I would expect some kind of wait during prime time hours. When I walked in, the restaurant was pretty full and I could tell the servers were occupied but there was no host. I had to wait some time to finally be greeted. A few things I appreciate about this sushi spot: -there's a Yelp Check In offer -the menu offers an insane variety of rolls By Belmi Roll was spicy and I'm not entirely sure where it came from. My heart is broken! I love this roll because it adds two of my faves into one. The aguachiles spice with lemony tang while eating a sushi roll. I'm a CSUN student so my budget is limited. I get to splurge once a month sometimes every other month. Today I had an exam and just wanted to treat myself. So I ordered to go. I arrived at my house and first was shocked by how dry the shrimp looked. When I've ate this it's drenched topped with the green sauce and onions jalapeños. But pictured you can see it's very little sauce and limited onions. I guess I'd recommend to only eat here if you got time to eat in and not for to-go. Just added our child's order right ways as we decided what we wanted as adults but when it came time for our food she literally forgot to enter our meal. We sat there for over 30 minutes watching others get there meals and we waiting finally we asked and she blamed the kitchen which showed her lack of accountability and just the lack of service. We spoke to a supervisor and he just apologized but did nothing. It's a disappointment because we spent over 150 dollars for the worst service and this being a regular place we go to I just hate that I had to spend my money here tonight. Saw they were advertising a fugeo platter to go, it includes 6 rolls of your choice, some restrictions apply. But so worth the price. They make the platter look so good and appealing. Even add flowers for decor. This would make a great platter to take as an appetizer for a pot luck. They were fast and friendly. They place looked pretty slow when I went to pick it up. Long wait and inconsistent service. Even when you come at down times and the dining room is almost empty they take forever to come take your order and bring your food out. Not sure what's going on in the kitchen but you see the chefs and cooks cracking jokes and moving at a leisurely pace. Not only when I'm eating here personally but every time I deliver grubhub orders from here they take 20+ mins to bring out the orders. I end up losing out on money waiting for the kitchen.
