    Date night was amazing

Amazing Mariscos. I always get the botana mix when I go. Plenty of food for two- four people. The service is always good and attentive. They also have michaladas and other drink options. It is a bit loud but the vibe is still good. It has a vibe from Mexico and it will keep you awake. Not a lull in the meal.

Came across AguaChiles while scrolling TikTok and saw they were promoting their Pork Belly AguaChiles -- and I'm really glad we decided to check it out. We've been wanting to try something different from the usual, and this place absolutely delivered. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and treated with genuine kindness. Our waitress was polite, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire visit. To drink, we ordered a large hibiscus tea served in a mason jar. You can immediately tell it's made in-house -- incredibly fresh, with a subtle hint of lime. Easily one of the best hibiscus teas I've had, and far better than the powdered versions many places use. I wouldn't even hesitate to pay for refills. We also started with a Modelo (canned), crudo shrimp (2 pieces), Japanese peanuts, chamoy, and a sauce at the bottom of the plate that was unbelievably good -- likely one of their ceviche sauces. Whatever it was, it was packed with flavor. For entrees, my spouse ordered the Pork Belly AguaChile, and it was phenomenal. The pork belly was crispy, tender, and moist all at once, loaded with flavor. It came with a generous portion of very fresh guacamole, topped with julienned red onions and serrano peppers, plus four corn tortillas and a fresh salsa verde with the perfect amount of heat. My spouse isn't big on tortillas, so I happily made a few tacos myself -- no regrets. I ordered the Ceviche La Mamona, which included tender octopus, melt-in-your-mouth ahi tuna, perfectly cooked shrimp, avocado, onion, cucumber, tomato, and a black sauce that tied everything together beautifully. This was, without question, the best ceviche I've ever had. I've never been to Mexico, but this is exactly how I imagine it should taste -- incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced. They also serve it with crackers, tostadas, and two creamy salsas: one habanero and one jalapeño/serrano. Honestly, the ceviche alone could have been a full meal. If you're looking for generous portions, outstanding freshness, excellent service, and a truly memorable seafood experience, AguaChiles is the place. Next time, I'm coming back for the whole octopus, super tostada mixta, oyster preparado, queso flameado, fried oysters, and possibly a molcajete. I love food, and every meal here felt like an adventure.

Loved it here!! Finally got to come try it and the Shrimp Ceviche was really good, so fresh and the Fried Fish and Shrimp was perfectly fried, huge shrimp and decent tartar sauce. So surprised with the Torta, it was delicious!! Loved the sweet tea in big mason jars too! It was nice inside, some live music too. Service was great, very friendly and quick service. We'll definitely be back!!

#supportlocal

I can't get enough of this place. The food here is so good specially if you are getting aguachile or if you like seafood. The ambiance iis loud but if you like live music this is your place to be. I am trying out different plates every time I go. I recommend the aguachiles, octopus, oysters, and the chiccarron fish. But so far everyone I tasted had been good.

    Shrimp tacos so bomb!

The ambiance was super chill, we went during lunch and there wasn't much ppl so the waitress was on it, the shrimp tacos I got were fresh & great, I'm still thinking about them.. the service was great. Our waitress was super sweet and on top of everything. I will definitely be back, can't wait to try other items on the menu.

Wow this place is a hidden paradise. Seafood made different ways especially with lime juice. The plates are large enough to share and the atmosphere will help bring joy to your food at another level. You've gotta try this place out!

Loved the friendly atmosphere and happy staff.

My husband saw this place on FB so we had to try it. What can I say but WOW WOW WOW! The first thing I noticed was how clean it was from floor to tables. The staff greeted us and it wasn't long before someone came by with a basket of fried corn tortillas and crackers . Our server was amazing, friendly, recommending a few item. We went with the Botona Suprema.....it had everything we want to eat and taste. The octopus was grilled to perfection. Everything was so fresh. Picture below.

Excellent mariscos. I loved the aquachiles verdes. The mini tacos pulpos were excellent and the fillete de ajo mojo was great. We'll be back to sample more of their extensive menu. Service was fast and friendly. Nice, clean and bright spot to enjoy seafood on the West side.

I thought the "soup of the day: cheese tortellini" sign...was a joke like "soup of the day: beer". No, that's really the soup option. Anyway, this one was close to his school, had a tortellini entree, and looked pretty good, so we decided to give it a whirl. We've gotten the last walk-in table twice now, at 5:45 pm. Which really gives me the warm fuzzies. It's a tiny space that seats maybe 20 folks; it's proud, not upscale, but not run down and reasonably busy. It's slightly claustrophobic, but in a way that implies they're prioritizing space for tables. It's the kind of place where you can just feel that the food is gonna be good. The kid got the cheese tortellini on both visits and will do so on every visit in the future for all of eternity. He decided he's not a fan of tortellini in soup form, so I get his soup. He rates the entree somewhere above HEB imported refrigerated variety and somewhere below his most beloved Pesto Restaurante, but I think if we tweak the sauce, we will get it dialed in ok. I've gotten Veal Francese both times, because I'm a monster, and when I see veal on a menu, I can't help myself. It was paired with a salad, and (my kid's) soup, and the entree was served with pasta al dente. Super filling and priced quite reasonably. It was delicious - I loved everything about it. Awesome little family-style place, great food, good atmosphere, ample parking. This one checks all the boxes.
