Food is fine, the amount of toppings and what not depend on the person making your bowl. Although, the last time I got Thai tea it was grossly over sweet, and the miso soup was weak. I have been in twice this summer and both times the bald guy (who I'm guessing is a manager or owner?) was walking around without a mask. Also, the person making my bowl pulled their mask down to talk to him while in the middle of making my food. Not even to mention the price for it for the portion size of the so called "large bowl" Fish looked old and tasted skeptical, added toppings were extra in price and I was very limited to my options considering the containers were empty for the choices I could choose from. Very pleased with our visit. It took us a moment to understand the logistics of the ordering system but with a bit of help from the friendly staff we got it. While the format is getting to be very familiar - walk up an select it's in the selections that set this business apart. A yummy wide selection of base ingredients, proteins, toppings, sauces very generously applied. While it may seem a bit pricey if you take into consideration what you are getting for your money compared to the usual sub, Mexican, Asian selections it is actually fine. I've eaten here twice and really enjoyed it. Yummy food that feels good after. Once I got it to go and went back to work- love a quick and healthy option. And when you want a treat, the ice cream macaron sandwiches really hit the spot. The amount of plastic used really bothers me, though. My wife and I were headed to Homco and thought we would have a bit of lunch first. We chose Ahipoki as we spend a lot of time in Hawaii due to my wife's birthplace. We were pleasantly surprised st the selections and how fresh the seafood was. The octopus was pretty fresh considering where we live. The Kimchi shrimp and sauce was not so hot that you couldn't eat it. Choice of rice (white, brown, etc) sauces and toppings for every sort of taste. Went to Ahipoki for the first (and last) time. Ugh. Confusing ordering system. Order taker could not have been more disinterested. Typical Millennial place as they have let's say, different tastes and lower expectations. No customers in there at all. We ordered just randomly as there was no explanation of what we were getting or how to order it. Everything seems to be an extra charge, I guess, as no one "spills the beans" on ordering. The bill came to a ridiculous $30 for lunch. We have been to Hawaii over 20 times and never came across anything remotely looking like what we got in those tiny bowls. Driest rice in history. Creepy looking fish-like substance. Yowza. I will be amazed if this restaurant is still open by the end of the year. Oh yeah, what appeared to be the owner ( the only person on the premises over 30) sat in the back of the empty restaurant and didn't lift a pokie finger to assist us or his cashier. I went here today to try the poki bowls. The customer service was spot-on. The young man Dayton who served my daughter's and I was amazing!!!. His recommendations were perfect. I ordered two bowls online for pick up, i went to get them and they did not have my other bowl ready or even started, and the girl working was extremely rude to us, even thought it was not my fault. After finally getting the other bowl, we went home, and I started eating mine, and there was only a couple of the things I had asked for. She didn't give me everything. We stopped in for a snack and tried the poki with organic greens. I thought this was a good deal for a large salad and 3 scoops of tuna and salmon. We were able to add all kinds of toppings like pickled radishes, cucumber, sprouts, and even seaweed salad. The house salad was delicious and service was great. First time for me at this chain. Think deconstructed sushi, chopped up and in a bowl. Okay...Fine...Certainly not fantastic. I've had much better sushi at several places in Flagstaff for considerably less money. Shrimp and scallops were very over cooked and rubbery. $12.70 for a very small bowl... Probably less total food than one full sushi roll you can get at any good sushi place for under $7.00. $1.50 extra for a tiny scoop of avocado...You can buy a whole avocado for less than a dollar! If the novelty of "building your own sushi roll," then chopping it up and putting it in a bowl is worth twice the cost of a restaurant made sushi roll to you, you'll probably love this place. For me, it's just a silly novelty and not tasty enough to justify how overpriced it is. I won't be returning and will be surprised if this location stays open for a year. read more

My favorite poke place! The food is very fresh and very tasty. They serve good portions and you can use as much sides as you want. The half and half usually gets you the most for your buck. I also greatly enjoy the Thai tea! The matcha tea needs to be sweetened a bit more in my opinion. Overall, this is my favorite place to feel full, satisfy my hunger, and not feel heavy! Great poke place in Flagstaff. Clean and inviting. Easy menu pick rice or salad or half and half. Then your protein, depending what size you get is how many protein. Then your sauce, always difficult for me and your toppings. Pretty simple. It comes in a square container not a round bowl like usual poke bowls but I like the square containers, easy to move your food around. Portion is pretty big. I was so yummy I ate it all. read more

What an unexpected treat! My wife and I ate there a few days ago and we're pleasantly surprised on how good our meals were. The tuna tasted really fresh and organic green are always a plus at a restaurant. The options are great for cratering to a lot of taste buds. The only thing we were bummed about was the online menu mentioned Miso Soup, but this location doesn't serve it. Miso Soup would be great...consider adding that to this location! :) read more

I have eaten at this location for the past 3 years, and have usually had a good experience. However, they have recently cut down their portions so much that I will no longer eat here. They gave me about 1/8 of the normal portion of rice, and tried charging me $3 extra for the usual portion I receive. They hardly give you any toppings now and charge 75 cents if you want extra (which, you will...I asked for edamame and got about 5 edamame beans). This location no longer has my business. read more

I have come here numerous times and always leave before even eating because ordering seemed really complex. Today i decided to stay since the restaraunt was empty and asked the worker behind the counter how everything worked. Im glad i tried here because it was a completely new experience for me. The environment is very cozy and welcoming yet modern. The food is delectable. You choose a selection of seafood that sits on a bed of rice or salad. I personally chose octopus, shrimp and salmon. I was honestly expecting it to be stir fried but its served cold which is a surprise but be ready for it. The serving size even for a large isn't that big of an amount but i presume its because the ingredients are so expensive. I personally wouldn't come back here because I wasn't prepared for the food to be served cold (similarly to sushi) but the 4 stars is because its actually very tasty and if you know what to expect I assume you will love this place. read more

When Ahipoki first came to flagstaff it was great food and friendly service and now it is slowly going down the drain. I was going pretty frequently and loved it until my meal (which I get the same exact every time) started tasting different every time! It looks like they stopped cleaning out their dishes and you can see all the nasty left over brown avocado stuck on the dishes. Their employees are not friendly to say the least and majority of them look like they don't shower at all. Also I was going pretty frequently and had a different cashier almost every time. Their turn over rate seems to be VERY high. I'm bummed and hope this review helps them to improve because I loved it when they first came :/ read more

Great service, great food, TERRIBLE pricing. The scoops they gave us were so small and charged extra if we wanted more. The toppings were even smaller (no joke, I asked for sprouts and think I got 4 total. Asked for Edamame And got like 6) but still if you wanted another scoop you were charged .75 cents. I totally get it, times are tough but this is not a super awesome business strategy. I wish I was kidding when I say we went and got more food after. I walked into Ahipoke tonight and no one was in the place, including no one at the counter. I waited awhile and no one came to help me. I walked around the counter to see if I could flag someone to help me and saw a few employees chatting and not paying any attention to me. Finally, someone saw me, she took a puff from her vaping device, blew it out as she was walking toward me. Yuck, I didn't want this person making my food after that. First time at Ahipoki! The food is DELICIOUS, healthy, and there is great customer service to top it off. Ari and the male manager with short brown hair (I didn't get his name) were very helpful and answered all of my questions, and even gave me a student discount! The set-up is much like Chipotle and I got a large bowl with half brown rice and half salad. Really great poke! I'm so happy this opened up in Flag. The staff seems like they're still learning but very helpful and friendly. The only complaint I would have is the super loud and constant rave music playing the whole time. Especially sitting upstairs the speaker is very close to all the tables and guests.
