For a chain Poke places, I keep going back to this one. I dislike when poke places put your meal in the tiniest bowl where you can't mix up the poke and the all the ingredients. When I order half rice and have salad here they put in in a larger, plastic container where I actually get a lot of lettuce and can easily mix my poke up. A decent poke place, not a stand out but not bad either. They have covid safety measures in place and had sanitizer, marked floors, and Plexi glass between you and the employees. Price range was normal for a Poke place but I didn't like how they charge extra for Yellowtail, Eel, or Avocado. The person who tended to me was nice and it took a little longer to cook the spam. I think they should switch out their large containers because it was kind of awkward to mix things around with the three little compartments in the box. I LOVED the eel and crab salad. We ordered a large expecting the rectangular containers that's been shared all over their restaurant's Yelp page. You have build your own poke bowls, teriyaki chicken, musubis, hand rolls, etc. Today I decided to try an ahirrito, which consists of 2 protein choices & up to 5 toppings. I chose the spicy tuna & salmon as my proteins, house sauce, house spicy & creamy spicy as my sauces (it was so hard to choose from their appetizing list selection) & edamame, seaweed salad, crab salad & green onion as my sides (I asked her to double up on the crab salad as my 5th). The "only" complaint I have is that they should consider labeling their topping selections. Their protein window, along with sauce selection have such informative labels, however the toppings do not. It was kind of hard to guess what was what lol. But over all, the customer service was great! The 2 people who took my order were attentive & helped assist me with my questions. This is my FAVORITE poke place! I love that their sauces are gluten free, which means I can indulge in more than just the typical spicy mayo. There are not many choices in long beach in terms of poke. While the place is clean and basically a replica of any other fast casual chain restaurant, the food is on the average side. You dont get much in terms of protein or the sides here, and the shallow container hides the fact that you are paying restaurant price for a subway style experience. I made the mistake of ordering the thai iced tea which was very watered down. I finished the large bowl in about 5 minutes, 15 dollars later I am still hungry.
