This is a chain poke place, similar to Poke Bar. It currently has nine locations in California and is still expanding. It's your typical "build your own" poke place and I can't think of too many things to distinguish this place from any other poke place. The main thing that stood out for me about this place was the price. It's more expensive than other places. Its large bowl only has three scoops of protein and it charges about $12. Most other places give five scoops of protein for that price. It also charges $1 for avocado and tamago. I have been here twice so far and the food has been fine. However, I just can't find enough unique things about this place (other than the high price) to give anything above three stars. I never really write reviews honestly but I felt like this one needed to be written. I've been coming here for a while and the food is very delicious and they alway did a good job and the customer service was great HOWEVER this last time I went I ordered through their app. I ordered kelp noodles with greens and also sesame seeds on my plate. My plate was missing greens and sesame seeds. When I called to let them know so they can pay attention and so that it won't happen to anyone else , because I couldn't drive back mind you I was on my lunch, a rude little girl answered and when I told her my issue she did apologize but barely and said that if the greens didn't show up on the receipt when they printed the order there's nothing they can do about it, so what I'm understanding from this is you're going to pay a good amount for a plate but if you order through their app and it doesn't come out on the receipt when it prints you're screwed and thats not their problem. So you paid for it but didn't get it and it's not their problem. Ok. Sounds like they need a new system. Also on the receipt there was clearly sesame seeds printed and when I told her it was also missing from my plate she said "oh we were probably out " excuse after excuse. I love poki, however, the one thing that I was excited to try out was the Ahipokirrito (Poki Burrito). One burrito costs almost 10 dollars (your average size poki bowl price). I had the options of 2 proteins and 5 toppings. To be honest, 5 toppings is not enough even with only 2 proteins that looks like the size of a teaspoon. Closest poke place to my house so I frequent this place pretty often. Its a small place hidden next to the Ralph's and it is super clean. I usually order the regular size (two scoops of protein) with half salad half white rice, a scoop of tuna luau and salmon, with soy garlic and house creamy. It always tastes fresh and sometimes I order the spam musubi for my boyfriend and I, which they cook when ordered. Nothing really that stands out here and the price is a little more than other places that give more protein which is the reason that I'm giving 4/5 stars. Today though, I was helped by a smaller, older, asian lady and since I know what to order ahead of time there was no way I was in there for more than 5 minutes which was great. I came here today for lunch on the recommendation of a coworker. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! I got a large with half salad half rice with spicy tuna, tuna, and albacore. They mixed the regular tuna and albacore along with the toppings and sauces in with the salad putting the scoop of spicy tuna on my rice. They topped it all off with a scoop of krab salad, masago, spicy radish, seaweed salad, and sprinkles of furikake and crispy onion. The topping are optional and you can pick and choose what you want. I wanted all of it so that's what I got. They charge you $1 for avocado but it's a half an avocado so to me that was worth it. Overall, the rice wasn't very fluffy and the onions were stale but everything tasted super good when mixed together. I got the house sauce and spicy creamy mixed with the salad and a little more spicy creamy on top. It was very filling and tasted very fresh. It was a happy experience right when I entered the door. The owner was there greeting every customer and they pounced to help me with my order immediately after I stepped into the restaurant. I just dove right into the order, but I did see a customer trying out the different sauces and fish before making his order (so if you're picky, this is a great place to go). I ordered the regular (2 scoops for $9.50) half and half (half rice and half salad) with yellowtail (additional $1) and scallops. The house sauce and house spicy sauce were very good (not too overwhelming like other poke spots). Don't be afraid to try the house spicy sauce. I'm not the biggest spicy eater and the sauce wasn't that spicy, but it added an extra zest that made everything taste a lot better. All the toppings were very good as well. My only crack at this place is that they weren't very generous with the yellowtail and scallops. But by taking advantage of their 50% off a bowl deal by buying a bottled water for $1.99, I really can't complain after getting such a great value. Tip: Apple maps did a terrible job of leading me to the place. It's in the big plaza with the Ralph's, so just go there. The darn navigation made me circle around Lakewood over and over because the map didn't realize that you can't make a left onto Lakewood from the neighborhood streets. read more

It's like fast food poke. Not very fresh, not very good. Just there. Very expensive and small portions, so it's like a reverse fast food restaurant. Employees are nice though. Probably won't ever come here again. It's tough to find good Poke round these parts, I tell you what. Also, they up charge for tuna here. Man, I really regret eating this Poke bowl. It is a quaint, modern, Subway style poke bar that is a refreshing option for lunch in an area overwhelmed with fast food. You have the option of brown rice, white rice, salad, or half and half. A regular is 2 scoops of protein and a large is 3. I paid about $14 for a large and that seems a tad overpriced for what you're getting. Although yes, filling, still higher in price than other poke bars in Long Beach. I love the tuna luau, octopus, and kimchi shrimp. Everything I've tried has been fresh and delicious. There are a ton of options for toppings and add-ons!!! Everything is pretty much included in the price except avocado (although Tuna luau has avocado mixed in). Service was unfortunately a major downside. You can justify the overpriced meal with quality and portions but service was unbelievable. The employee clearly was bothered by customer presence and made all of us (myself and 3 friends) uncomfortable. With every topping and mix in I mentioned, a more bothered expression and heavy sigh was released by her. This place is quite close to our work so we decided to order online for to go orders. As I rated it before, it was 4 stars, but this time it was really terrible. I mean the quality of food is still ok, however, the service is just really messed up. Last time we were there we were given a coupon for $2 off $10 / $5 off $25 for online orders. We ordered online and it says 35 minutes to make. OK, maybe they are busy. Agree. We proceed to order 2 large bowls. We make a cart and try to check out. The coupon codes both don't work. We check out anyway. I print a copy of the order confirmation which says the designated time of pickup, in case. Ok. I go at the designated time. You order online so you can just pick it up. The guy says "oh it's almost done, let me get it started" and starts from scratch. He tries to give it to me but I ask for the other bowl. He explains that online ordering gives a different receipt and proceeds to make another one. By the time my order is complete I might as well have waited in line. What annoyed me the most is one of the employees (I think was a manager based off the attire) told me "well next time you should indicate the time of pickup so it won't be late" I said "yes it was indicated" She says "no you didn't" I said "yes, here's the printed confirmation" to which I heard no reply. I go back to the office all frustrated because of the wait and the attitude I received and then opened the food package. The poke sauce was not mixed as requested. The seaweed was missing. For a chain Poke places, I keep going back to this one. I dislike when poke places put your meal in the tiniest bowl where you can't mix up the poke and the all the ingredients. When I order half rice and have salad here they put in in a larger, plastic container where I actually get a lot of lettuce and can easily mix my poke up.
