Spice level was medium and went with the 88 Special seasoning (a combination of cajun, garlic butter, and lemon pepper) - AMAZING flavor!! Perhaps my favorite aspect was that their seasonings were not overly salty - I feel that most other seafood boil restaurants just include way too much salt in their seasonings... but at Pier 88, you can really indulge without feeling like you're going to end up with high blood pressure! Extras included corn, sausage, and potatoes... and those were all delicious as well! I couldn't have been happier with this meal... so I will definitely return again soon! We were seated immediately after arriving and our waiter, Trevor, was right there to greet us. This was our first visit so Trevor took some time to talk about some menu items with us. We ordered and our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered crab cakes. They were the best I've ever had. They were crab meat, sauce in a panko crust. None of the mostly stuffing with some crab pieces thrown in. Delicious! They wet accompanied by the summer green beans and corn. This was served cold, like a salad with a light dressing and some shavings of Parmesan on top. Amazing! My wife doesn't like seafood, so she had a pasta dish. Buck & Rider was kind enough to replace the shrimp with chicken for her. We split a banana cream pie for dessert. Great graham cookie base, banana cream and then whipped cream on top. Sliced banana on the side of the dish and everything was sprinkled with chocolate shavings. Excellent! This was a great place to have lunch. We'll be back!
