Air & Water Factor replaced both systems at my house after the upstairs system died in the middle of a heat wave. Tim spent over two hours going over my options and he even climbed up in the attic to inspect the system and duct work so he could give a good quote to make sure the new systems performed optimally. He gave me options for a basic system, a better, more efficient system that will save money and a top of the line system. I decided to go with the mid-range system, a Bryant 16 SEER system with a two stage compressor and variable speed blower. After signing the contract they were able to come the next morning to start the work. Daniel and Scott arrived at 7:45am and starting dismantling and removing the old system from the attic. They worked non-stop for 12 hours to get the new system installed and finish the job to make sure I had cool air by the end of the day. The next week Daniel and Scott were back to replace the downstairs system. After an 11 hour day I had a 2nd new system blowing cool air! I'm already saving money after reviewing the daily kWh usage from srpnet.com. Tim came back three days later to give me the warranty papers and he spent another hour with me answering questions. Wow! It's very rare to find a company that offers the high level of customer service and quality work that Air & Water Factor does while still offering competitive prices! We are going through a very stressful remodel, dealing with many different contractors and having VERY different customer experiences. We interviewed several companies. Tim at Air & Water Factor was the only one to point out several important items that the other companies completely missed or neglected. 1. ACCESS FOR FUTURE ROOF WORK. The others did not ask about roof leaks. They all wanted to place the new unit on lumber that would make it impossible to access the problem areas of the roof. Tim designed a special stand that provided access for roofers to easily seal up the areas under the unit. Finally we were able to stop a roof leak that would disrupt our work when it would rain. 2. 2 SPEED UNIT TO REDUCE NOISE IN THE OFFICE. The 2 speed unit he recommended did not cost much more than the standard units. It is a much LESS STRESSFUL workplace because of the noise reduction & now we can hear our customers on the phone!!! 3. MOVING THE THERMOSTAT. The thermostat was near the copy machine which meant the system would never shut off. This added very little to the cost of the project but made the entire system work better. None of the other guys mentioned this. If we hadn't selected Air & Water Factor to replace our air conditioning unit, none of these problems would have been solved. My air conditioning system was extremely noisy, engineered incorrectly and installed wrong originally. Replacing a system like mine was especially challenging because the indoor section was in a space that was too small. There simply is not an indoor section available today that would fit in the same space. The Air & Water Factor install team spent a considerable amount of time figuring out how to relocate the indoor section into a closet. The benefit is that we were able to use standard equipment with greater warranties, and eliminate the noise. Tim also engineered some additional measures to prevent the possibility of water damage. I was impressed with the amount of time and effort that the Air & Water Factor team put into this project, before any work began. As this job was not an ordinary installation. The owner Mel was actually onsite for the work to ensure that everything went smoothly. I have been having issues with my shower since June so I contacted a plumber and he came out and said some parts needed to be ordered. He never showed up again or called me after that. We purchased a new air conditioner and a new water softener/carbon filter from Air & Water Factor on two separate occasions. They returned our calls right away, came out within a few hours both times, evaluated the issues, and gave us reasonable estimates for the replacement units and installation. They scheduled both installs within a couple of days. The installers for the upstairs AC unit were very diligent about keeping everything clean during the install. The water softener/carbon filter installer had to re-route some pipes and electrical, and did a very neat, clean job. We were contacted shortly after the installs both times to assure that everything was completed as promised and that there were no issues. I have used Air and Water Factor for several years. The first time they worked on my air conditioning, they corrected some mistakes made by the prior company I used. They did a good job advising me concerning repairs. I appreciate their approach. They inform me with out pressure, then its up to me to decide what to fix and what to decline. They kept my old system running for several years with out spending much money on it. Eventually it was a better idea to replace it. I got several bids and there pricing was very good. When the AC compressor failed I called Tim at Air & Water Factor. I had met Tim at a business meeting and I felt comfortable with him. Tim told us we actually had two problems with the AC. At that point, he gave me my options. Repair or replace with very clear explanation of the pros and cons of each. We considered replacing 2 of the 3 components but decided our best investment was to replace the entire system. I got prices from 2 other competitors. None of them could explain things clearly so that I could make a good decision. Air & Water Factors pricing was similar to the others but I got a better system and I am confident that I got the best installation. I had an emergency with my A/C unit during the summer. Air & Water factor came out to fix the unit and found a part needed to be replaced. The A/C unit was not working at all and my house was extremely hot. Air & water did not leave me in these conditions due to the unit breaking down on Friday evening after business hours. They brought me a very nice portable A/C unit that was able to cool down a portion of my house. They where able to ordered and replaced the part extremely fast and had my house up an running and cooling before I knew it. They have been honest, dependable, timely, and really great at describing what is going on with the unit and what the possible suggestions are. This is a 10 star company. My A/C went out just as the weather heated up. They honored the second opinion that I had, as well as provided options for me. Rather than rush out and try to get me to buy a new unit, the offered an affordable option and fixed it in a reasonable time. The dry unit they put in is better then my other unit.
