We had seen the Gosal truck around the neighborhood, and decided to call Kesar when our AC started malfunctioning and pumping out warm air (of course, it happened to be the first day of a mini heat wave). Despite us calling after hours on a Friday, Kesar promptly returned my call sometime over the weekend. We had him come out to inspect the unit on his next weekday avaiability and he showed up at the agreed upon day/time. He made an initial inspection, but his power testing tool was out of battery so he needed to return another day to troubleshoot again. We were slightly disappointed that he wasn't able to resolve on day 1, but appreciated that he did text the following day telling us he would arrive the next day. Once again, he showed up during the window he stated and finished troublehooting the issue. Our unit ended up needing freon, and once that was resolved, the unit kicked on and starting cooling. Thanks to Kesar, our AC is now working! Kesar was reliable and was easy to communicate with both via phone and text. We recommend using him for your HVAC needs. read more

Absolutely avoid him! We had him instal a complete heating and A/C unit 3 years ago. We went with the top of the line. We have had nothing but problems since he installed it. He is impossible to get in touch with. Cancels appointments at the last minute, very frustrating. Finally called another company to come repair the unit and they could not believe how badly the workmanship was with the installation. We paid to have it redone correctly. Quote from the new company " I have never seen such a bad soldering job done in my life"! We did not go with the lowest bidder or anything like that when we initially hired him. I did not use this service because the interaction was poor. When compared with the interactions with other providers, it was apparent to me the company was not customer-centric and was more focused on the fastest installation possible. The person was proposing installing the thermostat in an area that's easiest to install (in contrast to another provider who wanted to find the most logical place and even took serious consideration of aesthetic placement despite the extra work). He did not measure things (in contrast to all other providers who definitely measured the clearance space of the unit). And when I asked them nicely to not grab hold of the hinge in the attic that cannot carry their weight, they got testy. My experience was consistent with the lack of care that other customers have described in the review. Perhaps I interacted with a crabbier person and you might have a better experience. But interaction made with me wary about hiring them in the first place. There are better providers who are clearly more customer focused. read more

I was referred to this guy by Angie's List (beware of companies on Angie's List!!!). He came out to give an estimate on an upgrade to a Commercial HVAC and to install new duct work. Did not look at the space and did not check out the interior system. He went onto the roof and messed with the unit, which caused it to disconnect with the panel. When we tried to turn on the unit, we noticed that it was a blank screen. We contacted him to let him know, he had done something to our system. He claimed "no fault" and did not carry that he messed it up. We later found out that he had turned off the unit on the roof. Beware, when speaking with him he appears to disregard females and does not listen to what they have to say. When asked about scope of work, he was not able to give a direct answer as to how the job would be done. Simply, if you can't do the job then say so, but don't act like a jerk and dodge the questions. read more

!!BEWARE!! One year warranty. After that it's not their problem anymore. We got 3 ac/heating units installed almost 3 years ago and when we have the ac on, it leaks water from the unit. We have called MULTIPLE times and left MULTIPLE messages and no call backs at all. We invested and spent so much money on these units and were told we can contact them if we have issues. We did and unfortunately STILL waiting after 3-4 months trying to get a hold of someone. Finally I called and someone picked up, the owner I believe. And warranty is ONLY 1 year. He said, after warranty is up they can't help you and they are so busy with appointments they are booked until end of July 2019. Not helpful at all. Our Handyman changed the thermostat in Oct 2022. We used the heater in the winter and never tried the AC. Yesterday night became very hot and we tried moving the Thermostat to COOL and AC didn't work. Our AC unit was installed by Gosal Heating and Air Conditioning. Bad with esthetics and care of home. I had had given a negative review. After he came back, I upgraded the review to mediocre. It's no longer in Yelp for some reason. They installed central heating but took no care to prevent my walls and ceiling from caving in areas. They came back to fix but I see bulging now . Gosal/Ghosal placed PVC pipe in front, very ugly. Told him to move it to a inconspicuous place. He asked me where. Huh? Who's supposed to say the professional. The hole was patched with a beige not light grey/green that my house is. Today, I cut the hedge that hid the unsightly patch. I'm upset with Gosal and a bit with myself for not paying a little more for a conscientious heating contractor. read more

We have an older rental in Fremont and debated for years about AC. The temperature has increased steadily over past 60+ years. The furnace was 35 yrs old and house has little to poor insulation. Thought about whole house fan, attic fan, window /wall air, etc. since the system is central, we decided to bite the bullet and replace furnace and add coil (traditional ac). Long story short-called 3-4 companies ( no one wanted to say much without coming out-I knew what I wanted and wasn't interested in high pressure sales tactics by commissioned sales people. This is where Gosal heat and Ac comes in! I called the owner-Kesar Gosal and explained the house incl. construction type, age, current furnace style, what I was trying to accomplish and asked what I might expect to pay. The call was early evening, I felt a real connection, he's a real professional and listened to me and knew exactly what I wanted to achieve and said he would send me a quote ( perfect-no high pressure sales tactics) the next morning I had a complete itemized quote-didn't even have to see house-do to his 35 + yrs experience. He knew size, efficiency, ac tonnage, etc. to meet my needs and since he doesn't have outside salesmen and large overhead, was able to offer high quality equipment and top notch installation tech's at very reasonable price. To top it off, he came out the very next day after the quote ( which I accepted) and installed furnace ( I was concerned about renter being without heat-nothing to be concerned about, and his team were so conscientious about keeping environment clean-drop clothes,etc.). The following day-yesterday, they completed the AC installation -painless and we only started discussing system 3 days earlier. This process almost seems too smooth and you're probably thinking it's a set up, or not a real scenario, but I assure it is and working with Kesar and his professional team was seamless and he stuck by his original quote which was less than a quote I received 5 months earlier, which was very reasonable by the way, and to top it off he even included a nest wi-fi thermostat, wrapped the ducting with bubble wrap, cleaned out intake vent, replaced electrical breaker for AC, instructed renter on system and thermostat, all these things at no additional charge. I cannot speak for those who had bad experiences with Gosal but I had a very good experience. I picked three bidders - licensed contractors - from yellow pages including Gosal Heating & Air Conditioning. His price was the lowest among the three bidders. I got a new gas furnace installed and all the ducting in my crawl space ( over 40 years old) replaced with latest materials and code. During the quoting process he provided all options for different budgets. He did not try to sell a solution to me but helped me "buy" a solution I was most comfortable with. He finished the work in a little over two days. There were a couple of minor issues in the ducting which he promptly rectified without questions. My house now gives me the same warmth with the thermostat set at 4-5 degrees less. He arranged for all the permits and even helped me with financing the project. What more can I ask for ? Gosal installed my AC and Water Heater way back in 2008 when I had an urgent requirement to replace the unit. After 7-8 years I had my first inkling of problem with the water heater. It is labor day today Sept 7th 2015 - and I called! I was greeted by a pleasant voice which guided me throughout the discussion and process to try and get a replacement under warranty and moreover advice on sizing a new tank-less water heater. I see the negative reviews and am surprised now. If you want a swanky polished response at a price - go elsewhere. If you want good customized service at a reasonable price - this is the place. I'm giving Gosal 5 starts. Not sure what happened with the other reviewers but I had an EXCELLENT experience, exceptional workmanship and great customer service not to mention the best pricing. I chose Gosal to add AC to my forced air heater just last week 7/9/2012. Before I selected Gosal, I went out for a completive bid with 5 vendors. Sears was the highest (tried to sell me a Kenmore ?? huh!) and 2 others were in the mid point, while Gosal was the lowest bidder. I checked Yelp and was very concerned when I saw the low reviews and he was the lowest bidder... However, every time i talked with Kesar he was the most knowledgeable of all the bidders, regarding the size of unit, ,building code, electrical, and retrofitting my current unit, fixing issues, etc. the others gave me random answers. and one wanted to do it without a permit. (can you say ABC) others did not follow up or even remember that they came to my house. So I went with Kesar considering the work would be inspected by the city building inspector. Let me just say when I got home from work the day of the install. The service technician Raj was finishing up the installation, his work was exceptional and meticulous to all the details. He rerouted all the ducts to get the best air flow, added more plywood to move around the unit, and fixed all the code issues the previous installer did when I had the heater added. Not sure how he did it but he actually made the entire install look like "art work." I have a pretty attic! he is a true professional in his trade and very pleasant person while working in my home. I would recommend Gosal to any of my friends. They demonstrated the best customer service. I saved a considerable amount of money going with Gosal. I guess the moral of the story is don't take low ratings on yelp as the single source for decision making. I had Gosal Heating & Air Conditioning do a full furnace and Air conditioner installation last summer and within 3 months of installation I have been having issues with furnace failing to run randomly and showing error codes. Kesar owner for business has been very irresponsible and not interested in fixing the issues. After several phone calls and messages towards end of last summer he replaced circuit board, but issue is still existent. As a part of contract it is warranty for 10 years & labor for 2 years, but Kesar has no intention to fix issue. It is unfortunate that he doesn't want to standby his customers. He has no work force and sub contracted the installation for cheap who has no intention/motivation to do it right. He just wont reply to text messages, he responds to calls but keeps avoiding conversation of fixing it. Never called back this summer. It is the most irresponsible business I have ever dealt with. Please don't ever hire this person if you want to protect your investment. read more

I was recently swindled by a very suave salesman as well as the installation folks. I was sold a Trane HVAC System for $12,000 and have since found out from 2 other peole, I should have not spent more than $8,000. I was pressured by the salesman to sign when he was in my house. OK, I was suckered to pay the inflated price but then they come in and install,if you call it that. They required additional items which I should have been informed about during the sale increasing the cost $2,500. After the installers left, my heating did not work because they put in a defective gas line and did not properly wire the AC I have my attorney and the Mass Attorney Generals office now helping me out. Do not use this company at no cost..They are very expensive, unprofessional and their installers shoulod go back to school. They can't even speak english well. They hire illegal aliens to work as an installers.And they should be held accountable. read more

My AC stopped working recently and I looked around for HVAC vendors. I spoke to a few and agreed to give Gosal H & AC a try. Mr. Gosal and his team came to look at my condo's unit and were quickly able to diagnose the problem. My actuator was the root cause and needed to be replaced. People beware, this guy is awful. I was just yelled at on the phone by Kesar. He had told my mom he'd be here today to fix a problem on an install job that he performed. We were waiting around for an hour and half when my mom called him to see where he was at. He told my mom "oh there was an issue, we'll be there tomorrow" if we didn't call this guy, we'd be waiting all day for him. I called back to explain to him tomorrow was a busy day so please try to be on time. Kesar proceeded to Yell at me saying he'd get there when he gets there.
