I have been waiting for a good Peruvian restaurant to come into town after falling in love with the cuisine in nyc! Aji Limo blew my expectations out of the water! Every single second of our experience was excellent. Staff was friendly. Our waiter was very attentive, informative and very nice! The food was out of this world! We tried the octopus appetizer, a whole chicken which came with three sides (we chose yuca, salchipapa & avocado salad). To finish we tried the churros! Everything was AMAZING! They gave our takeout order to a different customer therefore making us wait at the bar 30 mins while the employees continued to tell us over and over that our food was "coming right out". Never once offering an explanation or any type of accommodations while we waited for 30 minutes like idiots. Then they forgot to include the rice for one of the dishes. Amazing flavors!!! My sister and I were supposed to have brunch somewhere else but they were closed so we went here. We started with a beef empanada and shared one . It was amazingly delish! We then shared a ceviche with fried calamari. Fresh, flavorful. The calamari was a bit chewy and could have been crispier but the flavor of everything else in the fish was off the charts. SO GOOD! Very fresh Peruvian chicken. Beans were good as well. The combos are very filling, and great prices. The staff/waitresses are super friendly and inviting. They spot is BYOB due to a pending liquor license (which they have on paper--it's just not official yet) they don't charge corkage, and can provide mixers for you. Make sure to ask for the green sauce! It's really good! The salad dressing was also really flavorful. Would def recommend this place. read more

Aji Limo was delicious, we had the ceviche 2 in 1 pescado classico topped with Peruvian style calamari, for an appetizer was definitely enough for 2, Entrees aji Limo half chicken with Green sauce, and lomo salgado classico marinated skirt steak with fried seafood. I thought it was impossible to mess up Peruvian food.. I was wrong. We waited about 10 mins to get our order taken... we didn't even get water yet. My boyfriend and I ordered our main courses as well as yuca fries as an appetizer. We only received our main courses, no yuca fries. The food wasn't great. I received burnt rice and burnt plantains... sweet plantains shouldn't be crunchy. My boyfriend ordered a rice and seafood mix. It was watered down. How can rice be watered down? I'm not sure but it was. Seems likely they just poured a bunch of sauces on it - a soupy consistency. I think half of these reviews are fake or made by people who have never had Peruvian food to begin with. read more

What a wonderful meal we had to celebrate my birthday! The ceviche was fresh and delicious. We also had a aji gallena, it was creamy and peppery. If you're looking for a more hardy, simple meal, get the bistec de pobres. It was delicious. For dessert definitely try the churros. They were the best I've had! And the service was outstanding. This review is based on one meal, the whole chicken with 3 sides (salad-plantains-rice and beans). It was excellent. All the flavors were delicious and distinct, portion feeds 3 easily and 4 if you each eat 1/4 chicken, but we were gluttons. The service is pleasant and friendly. Ani Limo has the best roasted chicken anywhere and the green sauce is divine. But, the service can be horrible. We scheduled a delivery order for last night which was supposed to arrive at 7:00 pm. It didn't come until 8:35 pm and that was only after several calls to the restaurant. read more

I'm livid. After waiting a half hour, they brought out the appetizers and main course at the same time. No big deal. What is a big deal is the lack of attention from the waitress (sorry you weren't able to check Facebook for like 30 seconds while you took our order). My meal was alright but how can you mess up bone-in chicken, rice and plantains? My fiancé's meal was HORRIBLE. Rubbery seafood (frozen and over cooked) and rubbery steak (bad cut of meat). An amazing spot. I've gone several times since they opened and the quality has been consistently excellent. Take out portions are great, and their salsa verde is totally delightful. The pisco sour is delicious, if overpriced. They have lunch specials but no happy hour I've ever noticed, which is a bummer. The octopus appetizer is ridiculously good :) I hope they add a happy hour one day, but other than that it's easily become my favorite Peruvian restaurant in Westchester. read more
