Love, love, love this place! I was in the mood for some Peruvian food. My friend lives close to here and she chose this spot. What a great place for lunch! I looked at their menu ahead of time. But when I got there I was in the mood for seafood. I ended up ordering the seafood and rice - what a fantastic option! It was incredible and delicious. It came with mussels, shrimp and calamari. It was perfect and just what I was looking for. I would definitely order this again! I would come back here for sure! The servers were attentive and friendly. Have been coming here for at least 7 years. The food is better than their other location in Portchester. But def not the service. The food is excellent Peruvian & we have been to some great Peruvian restaurants including in Peru. Unfortunately, the service is always terrible & never consistent. No matter what time of day or day of the week it is. The servers are always annoyed & bothered. But I think it's due to lack of adequate help. Every time I come there's new staff that's understaffed. I have to get up at least 4 times to ask for drinks, straws, utensils, napkins. You know the basic essentials of dining inside. But I guess since the locals never complain & that's who keeps them running, they don't seem to care about improving their service. So if you don't mind rude service or getting up a bunch of times, this is the place to go. I always tell my husband just think of it as a fast food Peruvian. But he refuses to join me anymore. I would definitely come more often and refer my friends if it improved but the chances of that are not likely. read more

Went here to try a new Peruvian restaurant. Was to fond of it. Service was good, food on the other hand was just ok. We ordered a fish ceviche to start, this definitely wasn't fresh. The fish was somewhat soggy already and not firm as it should be. We also ordered a lomo saltado and Chaufa de pollo for our entrees. The lomo saltado was not worth the $22 because the meat they use is not skirt steak or anything special, the meat was tough and to plain. I wasn't impressed. I've definitely had better at different restaurants. The chaufa on the other hand was delicious, although a little greasy, it was tasty and delightful. Unfortunately, the food was also just like warm, which made me believe that there food is already made and not completely fresh. Plus who wants to eat warm food and not steaming hot food at those prices? I may go back for the chaufa, but that's all. Restaurants should be more cautious when serving food, especially at those prices no one wants reheated food and poor quality. read more

Horrible service Waited and waited for 2 dishes that never came We not only got taken cared of after people who came after us but 4 different people who came after us got their orders before us. We ended up leaving the place. Atleast they didn't charge for the drinks after they took out credit card they said they wouldn't charge the card. Close to an hour never again. read more

Last night was our first time going to La Gladys III by the library. We've ordered delivery there before, and enjoyed our meal, so getting out of the house just seemed to make sense yesterday. I am really glad we did. This place reminds me of the kind of places I adored in Astoria. Family run (it would appear), emphasis on the food rather than the decor, reasonable prices, and attentive friendly service. We hesitantly brought our spirited 3 year old only to (with great relief) see that almost every other table had its own compliment of toddlers and kids. Our servers were very kind, polite and accommodating. My wife just adores this green condiment sauce that Peruvian restaurants provide (usually a tablespoon at a time) and not only does this place give you a big ketchup bottle sized bottle of the stuff to apply when your meal comes out but the server without hesitation told us the ingredients. Here's the best part: two entrees, an appetizer (big enough for a toddler's meal), 2 beers, a soda, and a big wedge of strawberry cake (big enough to split between two adults and a toddler) came out to $48 before tip. read more

We came here, do to the amazing ratings this place was given, for lunch. When we arrived we stood by the door and the waitresses were behind the counter did not say anything to us. So we went and sat down to the nearest table. The place did not seem too busy, I noticed 4 waitresses (2 behind the counter and 2 going to tables). There were only 3 tables occupied (including mine). The woman came to take our order did not speak English, it was fine I translated for my husband, but for an only English speaker that would be an inconvenience. My husband wanted rotisserie chicken, the woman said they ran out of chicken. So my husband order a whole chicken and I ordered French fries and breaded shrimp. We sat and waited for our drinks, which took a while to get to our table. A police officer walked in and immediately greeted and seated. I guess he had notified them he was coming because his food was ready in 20 minutes. Then another older gentleman came in and sat down at the table behind me and his order came after 15 minutes, the shocking part of that was that the older gentleman ordered a rotisserie chicken (which the woman earlier told us they ran out of). Our food did not come out until 1 hour later. I've never waisted my time like this. The food was room temperature and dry. Do not come here! read more

I love the ceviche mixto as a main course even though it is listed as an appetizer. It does vary in terms of what's in it. For example, sometimes you get bigger pieces of octupus other times they are smaller. And perhaps some of the seafood was actually cooked with heat and not just lime juice. But it is always delicious and filling. The restaurant does have a weird layout and appears to employ an army of people for what is a small space. But you can always find a table and the service is prompt. read more

Today I went to pick up food that I ordered before their stated 10pm closing time. I ordered a chaufa de camarón and yuka frita. And they failed me. I have never had a problem with them but today they were spiteful. They called me asking to pick up the food and I said I was on my way. I got food for myself because the food was for my fiancée, not for me and they took that as a go to in order to either eat my food or throw it out. It's honestly embarrassing from here and trust me I will NEVER order from here again. I used to eat from here all the time but I won't ever eat or order from here again. They never said anything about throwing my food out or eating it while I said IM GOING!!! It's honestly humiliating to go there and expect food to be turned away. I ordered on time and got there before they closed and they turned me away with nothing for my fiancée to eat after work. You make of that what you will. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Last night for dinner we decided to try this place, i ordered the rotisserie chicken with fries and salad, it was well prepared it was very good. They have this homemade green hot sauce that was good. My husband got the lomo salteado he was very happy with his choice i had some and it was very yummy. Its a small place but the food is very good. There is very limited parking. You either will have to park on the street or right next door to the ossining library. We didnt have room for dessert because the portions were pretty big. read more
