We ordered a large Carolina Coast pizza and the Southwest spring rolls for pick-up. The location was easy to find and the service was fast. Customer service is excellent. The woman who took our order was nice and offered to bring our order to our car. The guy who brought our order was friendly. When we returned to our hotel to eat, we realized a minor issue: We were not offered or automatically given parmesan cheese, red pepper, and hot sauce. Pizza joints should understand that these are ingredients many pizza lovers want to add, so were a bit disappointed because we're used to put all those 3 in our pizza, and we wished they at least asked us if we wanted any. However, even without those additions, we enjoyed the delicious Carolina Coast pizza. It has fresh and delicious ingredients. We never tried excellent pizza with shrimp and bacon together before so this has a unique taste, and we were satisfied. My wife doesnt usually eat the crust but she did this time because the whole pizza is excellently-made. The cheesiness of the pizza is just right. Some pizzas from other joints are cheap when it comes to providing cheese or any other great ingredients but AJ's Pizza must be committed to deliver the best and freshest ingredients. The Southwest chicken spring rolls are a bit costly at $8 but taste food with the Ranch sauce. One of the best appetizers you won't find in most pizza joints. However, the amount is not worth $8. Overall, AJ's Pizza is great, and definitely a must-try for pizza lovers in Myrtle Beach. We definitely would return again, and Ill make sure to ask them for parmesan cheese, crushed red pepper, and hot sauce. read more

We ordered a meat lovers pizza and a pizza with pepperoni and veggies, both were flavorful, although I was disappointed I couldn't really decipher the difference between the mozzarella and the Gouda cheeses. I thought they had a good variety of toppings to choose from- which is always nice. I really didn't feel like the pizza was super special, definitely good, but not something I would rave about. My partner exposed me to Godfathers upon my first arrival to MB and I was immensely disappointed- so I looked up well reviewed pizza nearby and found AJ's. This is the pizza you're looking for if you're looking for a chill night in, or just want something to gnaw on for a couple of days. The pizza sauce is great, as well as the dough- and they're always generous with toppings. Service is fantastic as well, even if you're just calling in a pickup order. Pizza is probably one of the hardest things to ask for recommendations on as everyone has their favorite and their opinions are strong. Sometimes you just have to grab the dart, throw it at the virtual list and hope for the best. I couldn't have been happier with the pizza we ordered. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and told it would be about an hour for delivery which wasn't a deal breaker for us. Delivery ended up being roughly 40 mins and our delivery person contacted us from the lobby as asked and was properly wearing a mask. We brought our pizza up to our condo and was surprised at how hot the pizza was as more often than not most pizza coming from 3.5 miles away ends up being lukewarm. The sauce had a little tang and spice to it and next time we order will probably ask for light sauce. The cheese that they use is unlike any cheese I've had on a pizza before. Yes, it is mozzarella but it is a quality mozzarella that you don't find at most pizzerias. I agree with a couple of reviews that I read that the crust is a little bland but I can easily look past that based on the overall flavor of the pizza. This is definitely going on our list of places we need to eat at next time we are in town. read more

Was recommended by a local while on vacation. They mentioned their favorite was a pizza with steak & shrimp. What?! A pizza with steak & shrimp? Two of my favorite meats on a pizza. Okay. It was a must that I make my way to AJ's. And I'm so glad I did. Never have I ever had a pizza with steak & shrimp. Pure genius on this specialty pizza!!! This pizza alone is enough for me to return. I can't describe how it all came together, but every single bite I took, had me doing the happy dance. Ha! I think next time, I'd try it with some ranch drizzled on top. The meat lovers was good too! While it didn't quite measure up to the meat lovers I'm used to seeing, it's close. I was hoping to have dined in, but you can only get your order to go or delivered. They offer a nice variety of signature pizzas. AJ's is a little gem that has some major kick. If you're in the Myrtle Beach area, make it your business to find AJ's and get you a pizza or two. BLUF: tasty pizza with quality ingredients, but it's not New York Pizza I grew up in New Jersey, so whenever someone tells me I can get authentic New Jersey or New York style pizza anywhere I always want to try the place. Someone said that about AJ's Pizza, so I decided to try it. We got the meat lovers pizza ( actually it's not called that but I can't remember the name, but you get the idea), as well as a margherita style pizza. The pizzas were very good, and appeared to have quality ingredients. But it's not New York style pizza, owing mostly to the difference in crust. It's not the best pizza I've ever had, and it's certainly not the cheapest around, but it's quite good and worth a return trip. read more

We heard this was one of the best take out places for Pizza. It does not look like much from the outside but the food is worth it. I suggest ordering in advanced. The wait can exceed an hour but luckily we were close by. The kids got a pepperoni and wiped ALL of it out. We also got the Low country pizza and it was amazing. So we were on vacation and decided we wanted pizza for our last night there. After a couple of dud restaurants earlier in the week, I went to Yelp and looked at the ratings. This place received high praise, so we got an order together and I called them. They do deliver, however our hotel was beyond their range so i opted for pickup. The actual restaurant itself is what I would call a true "hole in the wall", in fact I almost drove past it. The staff were super friendly, and the smell, well it smelled like any good pizza house, you know that smell..... Their prices were super reasonable and the food....well it was absolutely delicious! We ordered a couple personal pizzas, cheese bread, and a meat lover's pizza. I'm glad we decided to get ranch dressing to dip our bread and crust in....I'm nearly positive it was homemade.
