Ake is absolutely brilliant! And what makes Ake stand out is the authenticity that goes into each dish. There's a reason I don't make these dishes at home; I can't. They are complex and labor intensive and I have neither the time or the skills, or the ingredients, to do what Ake does. And I like to cook. A steak, pasta, hamburgers, a beef stew, even Japanese or Chinese, but not Thai. And if you like your food spicy, I'd still start out at maybe at 3 ... it's authentic. Thai food, regardless of whether it's an appetizer, main dish or a seemingly simple soup is distinctly Thai and Ake brings that authenticity with pride and skill. Service is exceptionally friendly. The location definitely hides this little gem. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had the chicken wontons and I had the sweet-and-sour chicken. My mom had a BLT (she's truly American) And it was very authentic and fresh. My brother got the Tom Yum Koong soup. But he meant to get the Tom Kha Kai soup. The lemon grass was overpowering in his soup but I just took out all of the ingredients in the soup and it was good. We will definitely be back. read more

First of all I'm happy there is a Thai Food option here in Titusville, the menu is limited but they are looking to expand the menu and provide varied options. I consider myself to be quite advanced when I comes to Thai cuisine, so I've had a varied variety of Thai. There is no satay or Larb here or papaya salad, but regardless what they do have is tasty. My only negative is that I prefer a thicker curry sauce and not a soupy broth. I would certainly return time and time again. The ambiance is alright, it's a strip mall, so you are not there for how it looks, but the food makes up for what might be lacking in ambiance. Service has always been good, they do have limited seating and with such usually only one waitperson, but most traffic appears to be takeaway. read more

This is not good Thai food. I have been eating it for many years and have a good idea whether it is quality or not. The red curry was devoid of any flavor besides pepper. Pad Thai taste was off and noodles were overcooked and clumpy. The cook needs to go back to Thai chef school for this place to do well. read more

Three of us ordered dinners from this restaurant - our first visit. They close at 6PM so you can only order takeout. Two of us ordered the chicken fried rice, and the third shrimp fried rice. We were all thumbs down. It was 95% rice and tiny little pieces of chicken and shrimp. The chicken dishes were $10.99, the shrimp $13.99 - EEK! We felt we had way overpaid for what we bought - like 50 cents worth of rice and maybe the same for the chicken/shrimp. All their prices are way high, starting at $10.99 [OK, let's call it what it is - 11 dollars] to $15.99. Ridiculously expensive for the quantity and quality of the dishes. And it's 100% takeout. Although the waitstaff was very nice, it's unlikely any of us will return. read more

I am not a guru on Thai food. I was going to play it safe and order tofu pad thai but decided to take a chance on something different. It was a bad decision. I tasted my entre and immediately disliked it. I dont want my food to taste like fish and that s what the broth tasted like. They did not come over to see how we enjoyed our food. I finally flagged down the waitress who said she couldn't do anything about it. The owner came over and said the guy behind me orders my dish all the time and loves it and walks away. He comes back later and asks if i wanted something different. I declined. I went to the register to pay for my tea and they were going to charge me for my awful lunch that I didnt eat. The owner tells me if i go anywhere else you have to pay for bad food. I was like no that's not true. I left and was sitting in my car when the owner ran out and told me not to come back. My wife and I love this place. We moved back from out west and missed the Thai cuisine found frequently there. This restaurant is small but the dishes are big when it comes to flavor and quality. It's a small town restaurant that has earned our loyalty. We have lived here about a year and have been here at least once a month if not more. The appetizers are great and we have had the Pad Thai, fried rice, and curry. I miss my old usuals and wish it had Tom Ka Gai (Coconut Soup), Mee Krob Rad Nah (fried noodles with shrimp) and Mango Sticky Rice. Other than that it will do for us here in "T" town.
