Somehow I go here all the time but had never checked in or left a review. Oops. Giving it a 5 because we go back again and again, but not necessarily because it's AMAZING. For sushi joint with a conveyor belt, it's a favorite. The prices are great and the quality is consistent. Oddly love some of the veggie rolls (Super Vegan is a fave), but mostly go for the tuna poke bowl with toasted sesame sauce. It's awesome. Service is... well you have to flag them down to get anything from the menu, but they're nice enough. Don't expect them to come to you other than to order drinks. The place is always clean and it scratches the sushi itch every time for a great price.

My Boss at work introduced me to Akira Sushi and it's become our new favorite sushi joint. First of all, "The Rice." Wow. So tender and flavorful. This is a Belt Type Sushi place. Some people don't like belt Sushi. Good. More for us. There were so many choices. We tried a bunch of different Sushi and only 1 thing wasn't as awesome as the rest It wasn't awful. To us it was good but not great. Not a problem because of all the other things available. We ate so much. I can't wait to eat here again. The employees were all super helpful and nice. There is a "Claw Machine" here and that's cool. I saw a dad and his kid try to win prizes. Then when it was slow. The employees all started to come out and talk in Japanese about the claw machine. I wondered what their strategies were. It made me laugh. It's a modest design inside the restaurant. Nothing fancy but clean and organized seats, more than you'd think there would be but not crowded. There are only a couple pictures on the wall. They're of samurai cat's with tattoos. I laughed out loud when I saw them. That's when I knew I had found my new favorite sushi place. That and the cost wasn't very much for how much I ate and drank. I know we'll be back Not as often as I would like but that's OK. I can wait.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - we arrived around 11:30 when the restaurant just opened so other than the nigiri, other options weren't quite available on the rotating belt yet. We picked up a few nigiri and a chef's special roll. The rice was a bit disappointing as it was a bit dry (day old or not cooked properly?) which affected everthing we ate. The salmon and tuna were decent by themselves though! Ambience: 4/5 - spacious and clean. We didn't care for the staff screaming across the restaurant at each other as it was fairly quiet initially. Service: 5/5 - to the point and quick to address us. Slight communication difficulties but no issues overall. Value for price: 4/5 - okay food but quick service. Not the best sushi but hits the spot

It's a conveyor belt sushi place. Everything tastes like an old California roll. Just skip it.

We were able to order the lunch specials. I ordered the 2 sushi for $15.50 special and got the #9 Yellowtail-Jalapeno & the #19 Alaska Roll. I ordered the Tako Yaki $8.50 off their normal menu. The rolls tasted great, I really like the Yellowtail-Jalapeno Roll because it was a maki roll and would definitely order it in the future. The Alaska Roll seemed like a basic crowd pleaser type roll like a California Roll, nothing super special but tasty. The Tako Yaki was perfection, loved it! Would order again and again. They had forgotten to bring our miso soup that came with our lunch specials orders, we had to remind them and the two soups and salad came at the end of our meal, no biggie- they were delicious. Service was very friendly, we had gotten seated and served drinks right away. They kept our waters filled. The vibe was casual and the music was great. There is plenty of parking. Would love to stop by here again next time I am in town.

At first glance, the location can feel a little sketchy, but don't let that fool you. We started with the chicken momos, veggie momos, and bhel, and also shared a thukpa. We had originally planned to order the mutton thali as well, but we were so full by then that we decided to save it for another visit. The owner and staff were incredibly personable and took the time to chat with us about the restaurant and the dishes, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The food overall was fresh and flavorful. The gravy with the chicken momos was especially delicious. I personally didn't enjoy the veggie dumplings very much, and the thukpa felt just okay to me. Still, our friends spoke very highly of several other dishes, so I do think this is a place worth revisiting. I'm hoping to come back and end up just as enamored with it as many of the other reviewers seem to be.
